For those unaware, there's some controversy about this game being a copy of Dark and Darker, another game with nearly identical visuals that is a bit older than it, and recently came to Steam itself. They're both very similar in a LOT of ways, so it's easy to see where the controversy comes from. I can't say which you should play, but they're both F2P games, so I'd just say try both and pick your favorite.
Its blatantly obvious that this game straight copped almost the entirety of dark and darkers aesthetic, but D&D is not really free-to-play. You are severely limited if you dont pay and this seems to be a much faster paced game. That being said, taking something someone else made and improving ot to sell as your own has always been a thing so whaddaya do.
