    All of the Holden V8s me more to me regardless of power. they are a damn good engine and have proved that at Bathurst against some big name imports.

    The sound of a whipple supercharged V8 speaks to my soul. The blower whine can't be beat.

    Those old 304s aren't really a good a good engine to start with

      Why not,mines just clicked over 400K km's ,barely uses any oil,no leaks,bullet proof to be honest.

    Skid factory got way more torque than that out of a blown 304,put this 355 to shame.my mates built SR20 datto makes 575hp at the wheels and 1200 ft pound of torque..it's a 2.5ltr stroker turbo..what went wrong here?

    • @STREETMACHINETV
      @STREETMACHINETV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You can't really compare torque figures measured at rear wheels with engine dyno figures. Gear ratios and torque multiplication will create issues.

    • @larndelaney7848

      @@STREETMACHINETV that's my point though,that 355 torque figure is at the engine,so the rear wheel figure is even smaller..pretty lame for an engine of that capacity,with forced induction... especially when compared to a smaller engine that's making twice as much power..at the wheels,where it counts.kind of makes stroking to 355ci redundant,if there's way smaller engine's making twice as much grunt.Be better off running a well built 5ltr,seen them make 500-600 rwhp,but more torque than most 355 builds make.I think it's ridiculous to have a what,nearly 6ltr V8 that doesn't really produce big grunt..just saying it's a 355 doesn't make it powerful
