That was epic action bro. I've been blessed to catch two blue Marlin . One Puerto Vallarta 450 an last December got one 100 in Cabo San Lucas.That one u had one was 100 no doubt. I call that a damn catch ! Those fish run away always an when you get them to the boat they go straight down . That's their fight. Big one I caught an landed was a 1 1/2 hrs with no belt just rod an a chair . It tried to kick my ass but I won . Don't wanna battle one that big again unless I have a belt with clips on the real like a kidney belt . Anyways God bless ya an thanks again for a awesome video!!!! No shame man. Rich seems we have a lot in common: am a big fan of the Avet aluminum reels- also getting things set up too before! you're bouncing around on the water. Ps- You do so much more than the guys with 3 motors with your small boat, so refreshing these days.😊
Rich, I have watched all your videos and sometimes you use the word "epic" kind of loosely. BUT this was truly EPIC. I was literally on the edge of my seat hoping you at least touch the leader. Wish you had an heavier setup on deck instead of using an inshore setup. Great content and keep up the good work!

Well that's why we go fishing, experiance of a lifetime ( until you hook another one ) you did really well on that fish, especially on a spinning reel, odds were always massively against you with a 40lb leader and even more so ( as you said) when the fish went deep. But you have the memory forever and those amazing jumps on film. Tight lines Regards Gary

I grew up in south NJ visiting the east coast of Florida, pompano ft Lauderdale, Deerfield beach and shots at Marlin like that or sails make the east coast where I wanna be. Awesome marlin hookup and battle. Have had a white marlin on 30lb spinning gear in the NJ canyons. Tough to boat a fish on gear like that. Well fought! Still an epic story!
To have a Blue Marlin on the end of your line and get to see it perform the way it did is a special moment you'll never forget. The problem now is that you've caught the Marlin bug. Where you are at in Stuart is the Sailfish Capitol not Marlin. You could conceivably fish the rest of your life and not have that experience again. I hope that's not the case but I say that for two reasons. First consider yourself blessed by the Gods to have seen that fish and second no one will be surprised to see you somewhere in Central America on a charter boat that specializes inn Blue Marlin. This was a very good video.

Been there. Out of Sebastian and hooked a white marlin. His first jump spit the hook but my wife and I watched it spit the hook we both about cried.
