I have a Gen. 2 Seiko Monster. They are the only Seiko Monsters with "teeth" indices, and the only ones which look like Monsters. I just ordered a "sterile" red dial Tandorio Monster to wear as a beater. You are extremely lucky to have bought a Seiko online with a bezel that lines up.
Certain Seiko like my King Samurai I've paid seiko prices but they are getting silly money. The Tabdorio is excellent value. Thanks for the side by side!
For me, less expensive homage watches are generally good enough to scratch a given itch. I have an Invicta that is a more-than-acceptable stand-in for the Seiko Samurai, especially as it cost only $70. However, I was lucky enough to find a Seiko Save the Ocean SRPG59 (Mini Tuna) at a great price at the same time I had some gift cards, so I picked it up, and I couldn't be happier with it. It has no QC issues, and the fit and finish definitely surpass my homage watches. It does make me want to hold out and save up for an actual Monster like the SRPH75. However, I would probably still buy an homage Monster if it had a fun dial or other feature I liked.
I find Tandorio watches acceptable, this is the first one I’ve had a minor issue with and for the price of the watch I can live with the misaligned bezel especially since when wearing it I’m the only who will know. This dial is a awesome color and not available in the real monster, quite happy with it.
I lost interest in the V4 Seiko after owning a couple very briefly. The case felt thicker than earlier versions. I modded all my V3 for cyclops-less sapphire, Appreciate your review. -decent bargain. I picked up Steeldive's version of the red as it had a deeper red, better fumé and chapter ring color. Tandorio has brought back the teeth dial and hoping they keep them coming.
Seiko uses a pipes and pin for there bands so when you go to size it most people do not even see the pipe and that is why the pins fall out. On the two Seiko watches I have owned I had this problem. You would think Seiko would mention this to people who buy their watches.
Agree, I hadn’t planned on buying the seiko but when I saw it on sale I pulled the trigger. Tandorio is certainly a cheap watch, but I think they pack serious value for the price, and I generally wear my cheaper watches to work and they actually serve a purpose to me.
I have the Norsk Monster Watch. As the Tandorio, the Norsk is a homage to the Seiko. Mine is an auromatic and has the Seiko Nh36a movement with day/date at 3 o' clock. The face is a matte blue. There were several different color options. It's got mineral glass and exhibition mineral glass on the back showing the movement with 24 jewels. I've had it since Oct of 2021 and I wear it at least twice a week in my rotation. The dial ratchets nicely and lines up perfectly. It has lume on every painted tooth and on the end of the second hand. The very tip of the second hand is painted blood red. Nice monster touch! It has a screw down crown and 200 meter waterproof. I changed the black rubber strap for a Long Island milled steel bracelet and the watch was transformed. The watch cost me $135 back in 2021 and the bracelet, if I remember correctly was under $100. I truly am happy with this watch and love it as much today as when I received it. They are still being sold on ebay. Type in "Norsk Monster Watch automatic" if you want to see what is offered. There are quartz options as well for much less.
I’ll check it out, I always wanted a real Sekio monster as I think these are sharp watches they are kinda on the large size but I have a big wrist. Really impressed with the tandorio considering what it cost.
Ordered an orange sterile Tandorio based on various reviews. Originally was looking at Heimdallr but took a risk as it’s even half the price of the Heimdallr, and let’s see. I have a few Seiko divers and not expecting the same quality but the SH price of orange Seiko monsters is ridiculous now. I have a few Omega homages as well as a real Seamaster Planet Ocean, and of course they are not the same thing. But the Omega was $5000 and the homages are $100. Would I love to have all Omegas …? Yes but then my watch collection would be worth the same as my car. I don’t care about lume and accept the homages are just for fun and if they break I don’t care. I like the red too so if the orange one is good I may go again !!!
I have the same Seiko Monster, I have replaced the horrible clasp with an aftermarket no name clasp and its miles better. The Tandorio does look great, might get one.
The seiko monster is just a iconic watch, but since I have the potential to damage my nicer watches at work I wear the cheaper AliExpress watches, after seeing this red dial in person I really wish seiko made a red dial monster.
@@bluecollarwatches7048 Fair enough. I have a few scratches on my Monster, kinda suits it and gives it character so I don't mind it getting beaten up a little. If it was any other watch I would be more careful but the monster looks and feels solid.
I got two seiko monsters but ive also got a heimdallr sharky monster and imo it my favourite monster at about half price of the seiko monster ,but has all the specs that the seiko has if not actually better specs.
I have a hiemdallr watch also but not the monster and I really like it, most of these aliexpress watches are really awesome for the money. There are a few brands that suck but for the most part a lot of watch for dollar spent.
i am want to buy one, but i still dont know, which one looks better in the light and in the water, the dark one with pinguins or the bright one with the footstaps ^^
I wear that Tandorio to work, I wouldn’t break in on purpose but I wouldn’t be AS mad if I broke it. I’ve had a few co workers comment on it, that red dial stands out.
@@bluecollarwatches7048yes. Considering the Seiko hardlex crystal may be easily scratched. Also as a limited edition, it may be hard to replace if lost or broken. I am not crazy about the cyclops, but the dial is great. The Tandorio probably costs almost half of what Seiko would charge to replace the crystal. I had the Sea Knight orange monster. It was nice, but the orange on the dial was darker than the orange chapter ring. I sold it and got a Heimdallr, but it had so many sharp edges when turning the bezel. I think until Sunday they have black Friday markdowns. Back in the day I had the Seiko first gen orange monster . It did not hack nor hand wind. I sold it, but kind of regret it. It had the hour markers like yours, no cyclops. The Tandorio would look nice on the same engineer bracelet. Those bracelets go for 10 bucks on AliExpress. I am not a fan of the Tandorio logo, and several other Chinese brands' branding, with some exceptions like Seestern and Heimdallr, which have more subdued logos and /or typefaces. I am curious if the Tandorio can be worn when swimming. I think a bracelet would enhance the red dial and the steel tough look
My opinion of Tandorio watches is that they are great budget friendly watches, I myself wear my less expensive watches to work as I can damage them. I work night shift, so during the day I wear a better name brand watch, but to work I usually wear a AliExpress watch which look good and are in most cases great copies. Sea Knight I don’t have one but have seen the specs on them and photos and they look quite nice, so it would come down to how much your willing to spend, the sea knight is supposed to have better lume but Tandorio is about 40% cheaper. They probably come out of the same factory, it looks like the sea knight has a better band on it to. Better band, better lume so it’s worth a little more. There is going to be an 11/11 sale coming up so I would put it in my cart and wait to see if it’s discounted during the sale.
🎼 There is a big difference in the lumen. I have that same Tandorio you have and I have Heimdallr Monster with C3 . I don't know what kind of paint they use on Tandorio, but it's lume is dirty and doesn't have the brightness that the Heimdallr has with C3. I won't buy Tandorio ever again because of this and a Circular film residue on the Sapphire crystal that can only be seen in low light. Seiko Monster lune is very good as well. I believe they use C3 as well. I have a Yellow Frankenmonster that has an excellent lume. Check out the Heimdallr monsters for a little more cash because they are worth every penny.
@@bluecollarwatches7048 🎼 In my humble opinion Heimdallr brand are by far the best Monster, Tuna, 007 James Bond or GMT lookalikes! They exceed in everything and are still way cheaper than originals. Someone needs to take these watches out to sea and take some strong fishing string and secure, then drop each into 600 ft. of saltwater overnight to really see if they are indeed waterproof . Being they come from CHINA, I don't quite trust them and would like to see more testing done. Also on the Sapphire crystals as well. * Thanks 🇺🇸 .

I really like this style, and I've nothing with good luck with seiko's.
I've got 3 different Tandorios and haven't had one problem and all keep great time and one has fantastic lume
I have one with decent lume, but I really like this brand as it a lot of watch for not a lot of money.

The Seiko looks a lot more polished and premium compared to the other one. Prefer the red tho!
