CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Jackie Boy (Benicio Del Toro) finds himself in over his head with the sword-wielding prostitute Miho (Devon Aoki).
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The Eisner Award-winning comic series Sin City comes to life in this live-action feature adaptation from director Robert Rodriguez and creator Frank Miller. Interweaving multiple storylines from the series' history, this violent crime noir paints the picture of the ultimate town without pity through the eyes of its roughest characters. There's the street thug Marv (Mickey Rourke), whose desperate quest to find the killer of a prostitute named Goldie (Jaime King) will lead him to the foulest edges of town. Inhabiting many of those areas is Dwight (Clive Owen), a photographer in league with the sordid ladies of Sin City, headed by Gail (Rosario Dawson), who opens up a mess of trouble after tangling with a corrupt cop by the name of Jackie Boy (Benicio Del Toro). Finally, there's Hartigan (Bruce Willis), an ex-cop with a heart problem who's hell-bent on protecting a stripper named Nancy (Jessica Alba). Featuring a who's who supporting cast that includes Elijah Wood, Brittany Murphy, Devon Aoki, and Nick Stahl, Sin City promises to be one of the most direct translations from page to screen of a comic series, with shots and dialogue adapted straight from the original comic's panels. Rodriguez quit the Director's Guild when they refused to let Frank Miller co-direct the film, a deal hashed out after the two collaborators developed and shot the opening scene utilizing a green-screen process to harness the stark, black-and-white look of the books as a litmus test for the rest of the production. Quentin Tarantino was brought in and reportedly paid one dollar to direct an extended scene between Del Toro and Owen that amounts to one issue of The Big Fat Kill miniseries.

I'm just going to assume Miho's sword was forged by Hattori Hanzo.
Tarantino actually suggested that on DVD commentary and Miller agreed
Or muramasa
It's a knock off tho lol. Like Robert Rodriguez lol.
@@corywittamori896 why u hating lol
They came from Tarantino’s garage. They were used in Kill Bill.
I see why Tarantino and Rodriguez get along so well lol.
They both have a thing for feet? 1:07
They both love sweet revenge
i love this duo because they are so similar and so different at the same time

Lmao 😂😂
Hahahahaha
"She makes a Pez-dispenser out of him..."
All I need to hear regarding someone's demise.
TraustiGeir Hollywood product advertizing.
That isn’t funny. Don’t anyone laugh.
Kind of hated how Jackie died.
Oh its pez candy dispenser and i was hearing piss dispenser all this years .
I only saw that movie once and i never forgot that line
0:32. IT was Benicio's idea that he pull the fingers off the gun with his teeth.
@Selarom Ogeid lol
Why do u have "it" capitalized
It does make the scene more realistic, the guys not think'in straight considering he's in shock
@@angelopellicci179 he is just being a little fanboy.
No, IT was Stephen King's idea.
“I got friends you can’t imagine. Everyone here is gonna burnnnnn.” Benicio’s voice is so awesome. Love this scene
"This isn't funny, don't anyone laugh"
O_o
Ben noneofyourbeeswax but it is
I can't help but laugh every time somebody says "don't laugh"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣ROFL, LMFAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol it's the shock from the trauma of his injury. Babbling, hallucinating, etc.
Oh we're laughing dude...we're alll laughing
Best moment: 0:31. De Toro improvised that gag. Makes me laugh every damn time.
Even when on the verge of defeat, Benicio Del Toro still acts badass no matter what. Such an amazing actor.
Badass...nah.
More like a pathetic dumbass in this case.
Bravo 👏🏻 bravo
I love his performance in Fear and Loathing
it's funny how they keep telling each other that they are making mistakes and no one listens.
Well only one of them is actually right lol
I do appreciate just how damn determined Jackie Boy is to get his gun back.
Doesn't end well for him, but still.
1:40 Dat face made my day.
😂😂😂 looks so wrong though
Same 😂
Just keep pressing "6"!
Same
Masterwork of a movie. Haven’t seen a movie quite like it since. The sequel was ok but this one captured the old time style you just don’t see much any more
So I took a poopie today and it sprayed kinda and I tried to lie but I got caught.
I really loved this style though I’m unfamiliar with the comic. The Hard Boiled dialogue has been criticized for being too corny and too cliche for Hard Boiled, but I really think it fit perfectly when taking all aspects of the movie into consideration. It fits. I loved the movie.
The comic is almost the same minus a few panels and some arrangenents
The sequel was garbage.
We waited 11 years for THAT?
This whole scene is literally a comic book come to life. So much style and substance.
The whole movie is literally the comic
The whole movie is, dumbass
I love Miho's style. She is so graceful and brutal.
+Mado "Deadly little Miho. She won't let you feel a thing unless she wants you too."
boa
Carlos Giliel Carlos
beau constrictor
Yup. Gives zero f*ks
Also Silent and deadly
1:40 is the greatest moment in cinema.
"Dis isn't funny... don't anyone laugh... I got friends you can't imagine"
Dunno why but I love that quote
1:38 the moment when Fenster turns into Jim Carrey
Miller said that Kevin and Miho were like two kind of demons in sin city, like ghosts I suppose.
Maybe that made a fight between eachother incompatible in a literaly way.
Most movies have what I like to call "the nitpicker's burden" where you look at a scene and say, "THAT wouldn't happen!" But this world is so fantastical that they can do whatever they want and it doesn't matter. Scott Pilgrim vs The World was great like that, too.
"Deadly little Miho" perfect casting!
1:40 is the greatest single frame in all of cinema.
"As your lawyer I advise you to not mess with the girls."
Hohoho rEfErEnCeS
Girls get it done.
"She Doesn't Quite Chop His Head Off, She Makes A Pez Dispenser Out Of Him" LOL
I love Dwights' "not bad" face after Miho makes a pez dispencer out of Jackie Boy.
Everyone in this movie played their part PERFECTLY! Masterful casting!
This has got to be one of the best movie scenes of all time.
1:07 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Miho is the most powerful character in sin city, she could kill an entire army. The way she humiliates this loser is brutal and sexy at the same time.
I get the feeling you get off to women in heels stepping on your balls.
I would love to see a Miho vs Marv standoff.
Brickcellent loool
Weirdoo ...Its claims like that make movies so exaggerated on a funny scale
Eh, i think it`s a tossup between her and Marv
"Out of nowhere. For no reason at all."
Funny thing is, Jackie is right. To him it REALLY is for no reason at all. He was acting according to the rules.
Look, you go in *plainclothes* to Old Town and start acting like a funny bad touch gang, don't act surprised when you don't get the special treatment. Jackie clearly wasn't thinking at all that night.
@@alalvarez7301 Except we're later told that the secret code for being an undercover cop with the prostitutes is refusing a prostitutes offer for payment.
Nah.
Pulling a gun on a defenseless woman, that’s not playing by the Girls’ rules.
Jackie Boy’s just doing what he always does.
Deflect and deny, and blame everyone else for his mistakes.
1:02 Slapstick comedy at it's finest.
1:05 Yeesh indeed.
@@sebastianemond5313 just the way Dwight said that is hilarious; Clive Owen did fantastic. That part never fails to make me laugh and I love it when Miho gets badass!
I love how the blood is still red in this movie
0:23 Half-Life fall damage sound effect
"Yeesh."
What a low-key reaction. I would have felt that one.
OKAY thats it... im gonna go whatch that darn movie the 5th time now.
5th time only ? That's cute.
Nearly 2 decades later, this feels like an underrated CBM.
Rosario Dawson was the hottest chick in this movie.
cough Jessica Alba
seriously every chick in this movie was hot
Dawson was the champion.
Lucile
In my opinion, Alexis Bledel is the hottest chick in this movie. What I find funny though is that this movie is in black, and white yet Alexis' eyes are blue in the beginning of this clip. Lol
Devon Aoki IS deadly little Miho! I didn't care for the Miho in Sin City 2. And I love that she never speaks! Something about the way Devon carries herself in this role that just make the character!
Demon in sin city wont speak a word. Miho and Kevin are demons
And she's absolutely gorgeous.
Unfortunately being gorgeous isn't enough to be an actor, she really sucks @@Mr__Geno
@@edenlia4834 i'm not sure if Frank Miller meant it Literally when he refer to both of them as Demons.
Both instances are never shown, but it was said by Roarke that Kevin did Talk, but only to him.
Likewise Miho was caught by surprise AND nearly die the first time she met Dwight, so she is not unstoppable.
Huh. Ahsoka Tano had some interesting times after the Jedi Academy
This series is satisfyingly unreal. Damn.
This is crazy... *starts biting off his own severed hand from his gun* ....xP
I remember being a 10 year old kid and laughing so hard my ribs were hurting from this scene
Jackie Boy should have said heads will roll for this lol
@Night shade Great performance by Benico
This whole movie is just pure art.
0:21 he freezes into place long before there's a sword in the frame
It's a camera quick cut so they can replace the real actor with a dummy.
@@TheBacknblack92 yes, thanks captain obvious.
The violence in Sin City is completely outlandish. But hilarious nonetheless
I love the music when Miho attacks.
Hearing it out of context you'd think it was the theme to some kind of monster.
I saw this movie the other day. Miho and Kevin were my favorite characters in the movie. Kinda wish they'd have done a face-off between those two at one point, but shame that won't happen.
... And, this one was shown in theaters? No wonder I haven't been in a theater for 25 years.
Kevin and Miho are both described as Demons (Miho a good one, Kevin an evil one). They are both supernatural beings, which means a fight between Miho and Kevin would likely be very close. And if Kevin wins, oldtown had lost a huge deterrent to people wishing to harm it.
Sin city is supernatural
@@Ken-no5ip true in Sin city 2 we see an old deformed like mutant dude at a party or Ava rose, who has powers
yea but didn't krvin lose str8 up to marv? 1 shot even?
"Little Miho, you're an angel, you're a saint, you're Mother Teresa, you're Elvis, you're God"
I love Devon Aoki so bad in this film❤️❤️
1:07 - 1:14 Lord have mercy....
That was the most random scene i've ever seen
Loved it
The writer kept spamming Deadly little Miho everytime there was a difficult situation.
Deadly Little Miho
I love the faces he makes
I find bencio del toro hilarious in this movie
I won't think of a Pez despenser the same way ever again.
This Benicio's character is a beast
Dwight is a real badass!
0:10 The Pepe meme intensifies forward firepower.
Whenever the blood is white it means loss of life jackie boys head injury bruce williss suicide etc
Red blood means violence marvs beatdown miho cuts open jackie boy
The girl who played Miho isn't in Sin City 2 :'(
Yeah, sadly. This one looked JUST like the comic character.
She was too old to depict the Miho in A Dame to Kill For, who was younger then in the Big Fat Kill. Dwight hasn't even changed his face yet. So they had to choose another actor. I'm pretty sure if she was given the option too, then Devon Aoki would have definitely been Miho again. :)
pendlemo22 (XxXpEnDlEmOzZz) Did she really look THAT old? Nothing movie makeup could have fixed?
Brian Merritt Just different body structure as well. If you see, the actor who played Miho in A Dame To Kill For looked exactly like the comic character.
pendlemo22 (XxXpEnDlEmOzZz) Oh no, I think the girl who played her before looked EXACTLY like her. She had the same half-scowl and the same eyebrows. The actress in A Dame to Kill For looked more like an Asian model.
The word "vs." implies this was a fight and not just an extended execution.
God dayum, Ahsoka is wild.
The first 35 seconds are comedy gold.
We need more movies like this.
The song at the beginning through the middle scene reminds me of the Raider of the Lost Ark when the Nazi melt their face.
As far as the swastika comments are concerned, be aware that a swastika is not just a symbol of the Nazis. It was adopted by them during their reign and they cocked it 90 degrees. Swastika actually means "to be good" and is common in Buddism and other religions. Since Miho is Asian, that's probably why she has one. Also, the shape itself makes it good for throwing and killin shit
For the record a 1911's slide would never fly backwards like that...
That last line.😂👌
I love this movie just keeps me interested. You know like I dont have to go get a snack on a boring part becuz their wasn't one in this movie.
I bet the pre-production footage of this movie looks hilarious
@ :22 I love how goon number 4's head just bounces passed Jackie Boy xD
0:22
Jackie Boy's Danganronpa execution: 0:00 - 1:49 .
" The Cries Of A Corrupted Soul ".
Kevin was the evil demon, and Miho the benevolent one.
+David Medlock Benevolent? Hardly. She just protects her own. Anyone else is dead meat. That's not benevolent.
+EmptyMan000 well in a place like Basin City anyone with scruples is benign.
It's also a line from the comics EmptyMan
@@EmptyMan000 she doesn't kill innocents, dumbass, she only kills those who harms the girls of old town or any armed goons that shows up in that alley. Kevin, on the other hand, is really REALLY messed up in the head and will make a meat pie out of anyone that gets in his territory or is to do the Cardinal's biddings; eating people alive is his favorite pastime, he is the REALLY REALLY bad guy, not miho.
1: 40 🎵🎵 Like a fella, once said ain't that a kick in the head🎵🎵🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Devon Aoki will make a perfect Katana in Arrow season 3!
Jackie THIS GUY 😂😂😂😂
This scene cracks me up I was rolling when I saw him fall on that swastika and when he bit his fingers off his gun and then the way his face looks when the gun backfires on him 🤣🤣🤣
There was a version once that had a different throwing star once but so many sent out to the theaters
2:07 when i set the blender on high and the top comes off
😂😂😂
It will actually come out. The title is ''Sin City: A Dame To Kill For'' based on another of Frank Miller's comic from SC series. Premiere: October 4, 2013.
Deadly Beautiful Miho
Rosario in that outfit DAMN............
I read this part in the book. I'm dying to see this movie.
man I LOVE Miho!
Miho is still my favorite character in the cannon. Beautiful acting on her part, respect.
Miho and Kimiko/The Female must know each other.
Deadly little Miho
The way he said, "Peez dispenser,"
He visto películas raras y esta, pero muy buena
Anyone else think Dwight's narration was the best?
Without a Doubt. Rourkes acting was better but Owen had both great Lines,Tone, delivery and some awesome sarcasm...his character had the least invested but Owen nailed this role.
Christopher Jay My favorote character and story is Marv and The Hard Goodbye.
Chase Endricks I really wish we would get him back for a sequel
0:26 casually head going his way
with a bullet sound effect
Damn, Imagine Jackie boy as the Joker...
Not sure why, but this scene brought Shogun 2 to my mind:
"Shamefurr Disprayy!!" :P
She doesn't quite chop his head off she makes dispenser out of him lol😂😂😂👌
Deadly little Miho.
He'll flip ya
