Now this is what I call a true love story and I want a woman like that so if the zombie apocalypse ever comes I will die with the bloodthirsty joy every step of the god damn way.
And just so you know, the stories that are in the second film are "A Dame To Kill For" and like I said "Just Another Saturday Night". There is also 2 new stories, one named "The Long Bad Night" and another so far unnamed story featuring Nancy as the main character.
The first movie wasn't based off of the first four comics. It was based off the first comic, the third comic, the fourth comic and a short story that was in a compilation. The next film is based off the second comic, another short story and 2 original stories. It was originally going to have 1 original story, and also have "Hell and Back", which is the last comic, but Miller and Rodriguez couldn't get Johnny Depp, who is the only actor they want to play the main role from that comic.
I wish the max payne movie took notes on how to create a noir vibe it could have used this visual effect well to develop the story much how the graphic novel style of the 1st 2 games such a missed opportunity.
“The fire baby it will burn us both, there’s no place in this world for our kind of fire, my warrior woman, my Valkyrie, you’ll always be mine and never”
They are called "The Babe Wore Red and other stories" "Lost, Lonely, & Lethal" and "Sex & Violence". There was a book that has all of them in it, including 2 other stories called "Silent Night" and "Just Another Saturday Night" (Which is the one that will be in the second film) called "Booze, Broads, & Bullets"
Cheers, your the first person who got what I was trying to say (I do appreciate that this may be some folks fave film so, I don't wish to offend) However did you get the sense, enjoyable as it was, that it was trying a little too hard?
Mark D Beats- Hell of a Night I really wanted to make a soundtrack after I saw the first Sin City. And I made this instrumental that I think any Sin City fanatic might enjoy. Gets that gritty mood goin
If you want a really good askew view of America, try Love and Rockets, Beyond Palomar or Human Diastrophism by Gilbert Hernandez. The latter especially merits several re-reads with seemingly endless new finds with every read. And then there's always Harvey Pekar! Thanks, by the way, for engaging in a proper conversation, I like the comments but they do have the habit of creating despondancy or despair.
Y'know, this whole kerfuffle started because Jackie Boy and Dwight got into a fight cause Jackie Boy was abusing a girl named Shelley who Dwight was now dating. And now Dwight is apparently making out with this other lady I dunno, seems to me that the catalyst to the story being more or less forgotten is kinda weird and one of the reasons I've never been too into this film
It's the only one where the catalyst is forgotten or unimportant. This one is absolutely the worst segment in the movie. The other two are far, far better, though the acting is still a bit stilted due to bad dialogue.
I don't really think that this movie was film noir either. When I think of noir, I think of the examples you gave. Maltese Falcon, The Third Man, etc. Sin City is more like an action film with noir elements in it. I don't think its quite as bad as Episode 1 was to Star Wars, but if you're looking for a noir film, don't look to Sin City.
Shes not black she lationo ..obviously she don't look all black u can tell by her features any way she is latin, native american, irish and afro cuban descent
Çağrı TAŞTAN No. Kung Fury has its own crazy and unique universe, and it works because it doesn't take itself seriously. Sin City does, and even tries to be a sort of horror film at moments. Also, there are a lot of serious films that don't make any sense (EraserHead, for example) yet i can take them seriously, because those don't look fucking ridiculous. Also, i'm talking about this story in particular, not the entire film.
"The Fire, baby. It'll burn us both..There's no place in this world for our kind of fire. My warrior woman. My Valkyrie. You'll always be mine. Always... and never. "
It's based off of three of Frank Miller's graphic novels, namely, "The Hard Goodbye", "The Big Fat Kill", and "That Yellow Bastard". Each of them have completely different story lines. So the movie is kind of like a compilation of short stories. Epic short stories.
This is so weird I remember seeing this movie as a really really young kid and I remember this scene so prominently but never the movie name its weird seeing it again now
There should be the first Manute scene in here, just because Michael Clarke Duncan was amazing. I'm not familiar with Dennis Haysbert's work, but he sure has a lot to live up to.
Michael Clark Duncan was really a great actor. I will miss him.

The narration in this movie is so fucking cool.
This scene was so beautifully shot and badass. Kudos to Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Taratino for making such a stunning and incredible film.
Sin City has to be one of the best cinematic experience of my life. I was so not prepared for it when i sat in the cinema.
These last few lines in the story are so corny but I love them. The fire, baby,
