    I've had seizures for 20 years, I'm so sorry you have to go through these. I know it's hard to deal with as seizures affect our daily lives. You are so strong, hang in there, I pray that they find a way to control the seizures better. Mine were out of control up till I was 23. I went to a clinic called St Paul Epilepsy group in Minnesota. They put me into 3 seizures back to back an had me under control within 8 months. I hope an pray that your dr will be able to help control them in the fastest way possible! 💙

    watching your journey has helped me a lot with my own. I never remember anything in between my seizures so I had to research based on what the paramedics and my mother would tell me, but damn it feels like you’re hit by a bus afterwards. It’s scary, ive had petit mals multiple times a day and the aftershock of my grand mals sometimes trigger another seizure. Kicks the shit out of us, but it’s inspiring to see how much you document your own. I pray for you girl ❤️

    I forgot to tell everybody the worst thing you can do is try to talk to us while we are having a Seizure.Our Brain is so Confused we want to talk but we can't even get the right words to come out. That makes us mad and embarrassed.Then the confused and sadness takes over. So the best thing you can do is just sit with us and keep us safe. I'll say thanks from all of us that have Seizures.

    It's so heartwrenching to watch your loved one go through this. My husband has epilepsy but his seizures are usually more violent convulsions, involving his entire body. It's so scary watching a 6'3, 215lb man be rendered completely helpless. I don’t know what meds you take but my hubby had success with Vimpat, which reduced the frequency and intensity of his seizures. His dr then started him on Fycompa and Lamotrigene, which at one point kept him seizure free for almost 2 years. They might be something to ask your doctor about. Sending you virtual hugs and positive energy! ❤

    You are a strong, beautiful woman who is blessed with a wonderful family. We will all pray for you and for God to heal your seizures where you even grow out of them.
    I have the grand mal seizures (pretty bad ones) that I got switched to 7 different medications before I underwent temporal lobectomy in 2009. I now just take a smaller dose of Dilantin since the surgery and try to keep my carbs at a minimum. A good doctor is always a plus.
    Our hearts go out to you and we’ll keep it positive that a big solution is coming for you 💗

      @@MyJourneyToBeSeizureFree So sorry for your struggle. Please look into the Emotion Code. There is a ton of information online about it. It wss developed by Dr Brad Nelson and his youtube channel is called discoverhealing on youtube. He has a book by the same name and there is also a free audiobook on youtube. There are many practitioners all over the world. Many also do the Body Code which is part 2 of the program. It is also online. You do not need to suffer. You have your whole life ahead of you. I am currently healing my son's autism. It works. I am a nurse. I have seen many seizures. Energy medicine is the medicine of the future. Take care and I wish you a full healing. It probably will only take a few months. Full healings are not guaranteed but certainly much improvement could be attained.

      I was wondering , like with my metformin, if you can be over treated? I switched PCPs recently they bumped that down from 2k mg daily to 1k mg daily. After having 8 seizures over a 2 week period in july/August they started me out on 1k Keppra daily, didn't help. 2k daily doing the trick. If anything id like to get off multiple meds from all the side effects but its like the worse of 2 evils you know... scheduled for a week stay epilepsy clinic next month. #keepthinkingpositive everyone we GOT this 🤙

    Your seizures are similar to my son's. He clicks and has the same facial expressions. We don't get a lot of warning. Sometimes he can tell us. Now that he is 15 he is able to articulate when he thinks it is going to happen. His meds are helping they have him on. So when he does have one it is not as harsh. But he takes a long time to recover. Has stroke symptoms for almost thirty minutes afterwards. Still better then they used to be. Thank you for doing this. It helps me a lot as a mother.

    Seeing this from the outside perspective is heart wrenching and scary. I am so glad you are not alone and have your family! I hope sooner than later, you or someone finds a way to stop this in its tracks. I have only ever had 2 siezures in my life and it was absolutely terrifying. I remember feeling light headed, my body felt flighty, and I went to lay down. Apparently after I proceeded to seize for about 15 minutes straight. I can't remember it, probably cause my brain blacked out. I remember realizing my head was pounding, everything being super bright, and the sound of 5 people calling my name, touching me, and I started to cry from panic. The doctors told me my brain was "fine" and they linked it to how much I was working, the very little sleep I was working off on a daily basis, and the amount of stress and anxiety basically brewed in my brain till it essentially "tweeked" out to say the least. I had one a few months later which had me come to, on my floor, in a puddle of my own urine and a migraine. I haven't had one since and for that I an incredibly grateful. I hope I never have one again. They are terrifying and leave you SO incoheriently confused.

      @@mansfield821 Sarah, I had HORRIBLE side effects with every anti epileptic medicine I had previously taken. You name it, I had it including the most awful skin reactions. I eventually decided to go off of everything. At the same time I was put on high doses of Xanax for anxiety but became highly addicted to it and began to have memory issues. During the time I was on it I no longer had seizures. However, after weaning off of Xanax a little too quickly, my seizures resumed and I ended up breaking my head open during one and being rushed to the ER. After stapling my head (gross, I know) the Er doc put me on Ativan. Now I will warn you; the original dose he put me on, 4mg ended up making me hallucinate. I spoke to my doc who told me that a small dose if just 1 mg should do the trick. I take .5 in the morning and .5 in the early evening. Some people don't want to be on a benzo for a long time but to me this is pure magic. I have absolutely no side effects and no memory issues. It doesn't hurt to talk to your doc about it. Oh, and it of course also helps with anxiety.

Glad your up on the proper foods. YES adavan & diazapam both wk well. So glad your getting answers. Mom your a champ! im soon 62 and i have children & 10 Grandchildren , some with health issues. its wearing at times. The unknown, feeling helpless at times. Prayer is the only thing that has gotten me through... May God guide and bless you all . ML

    I have epilepsy as well. Only mine can be triggered by strobing lights and it is really scary. Both of mine have been in the car. I could never imagine having to go through this. My heart breaks for you and I pray one day that you and myself will be seizure free. I will fight the epilepsy battle with you and always sympathize with you.❤️🙂

    Epilepsy sucks. I have it too. A rare form that affects temporal lobe. I have a lot of small seizures where the left side of my body goes sort of numb and pulses. I don’t lose consciousness but they are annoying and come in waves, over and over until I take more meds and wait it out. I’ve only ever had three tonic clonics so I consider myself lucky. I just don’t like being tied down to medication for the rest of my life and not knowing if or when another tonic clonic will happen. I still have PTSD from my last two tonic clonics in 2008. The whole thing is very frightening. I hope you are keeping well during the pandemic! Take care.

    you should do a video on what you eat because it seems like certain foods help you not have seizures(like if you have too much carbs it hits you harder) 🤔 would love to see the healthy foods, supplements etc you take! so happy most of the seizures were easy 💛

    I'm beginning to think from watching patterns and timing that the pukey feeling you get before a seizure is your abs specifically around your stomach twitching, because immediately after you feel that your eyes and mouth start twitching. I also believe this may be the reason for the hiccups afterwards as it disturbs the normal process of the diaphragm. Not an expert here just something I've been observing.

    • @nancybradley7264
      @nancybradley7264 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have hiccups after didn't put it together, what's more discouraging is my seizures don't show up on eeg but they can see them on video monitoring so they just diagnosed me with partial seizures.

    I started having seizures this year. I had a major one that landed me in the hospital. I had another one in the hospital, and my heart flatlined. I’m thankful to still be here. I’m now on medicine (Keppra).

    • @Toffee_Trees
      @Toffee_Trees 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Stevo I was also there for a low thyroid, which was the root of the seizures. My thyroid just decided to be a jerk and stop working, so it was a thyroid induced seizure. I also went into a thyroid induced coma. My heart flatlined after the seizure, I don’t remember any of it. It was scary, but I’m doing better ❤️

    Hi Ang, I have read that you started having seizures AFTER you had vaccinations...is there a blog or something that expands on this? Please know that you (in my opinion) are a f***ing warrior, and must continue the fight to cope. As a parent, I have to give props to your mom for always being there, and to the fact that you record every episode. Are you still trying to approach this from a holistic angle or would you consider a more medical approach? I include you in my prayers (take that as you may), and hope for a recovery.
    All the best.
    A.L.

    Hey love I’m sorry you have to suffer with these terrible seizures, but I was wonder if the doctors have checked you for any underlying medical conditions that have to do with autoimmune diseases. My cousin had seizures like these and she finally was diagnosed with lupus and started to get her seizures under control. I have lupus myself and just feel terrible and wish there was way I could help . Much love and prayers ❤️ hope you have an amazing holiday!
