The main thing that needs to shift is this ~~ Israel should never again give up territory that is won in a defensive war, beginning with Gaza. 1) Israel lost too much giving up the Sinai. All the weapons and trained soldiers and money, used to empower Hamas, were smuggled through the Sinai. 2) Israel lost too much withdrawing from South Lebanon. Resolution 1701 was NOT enforced by Unifil and now there are hundreds of thousands of rocket there 3) Israel lost too much giving up control of Judea and Samaria to the PA. Hasn't the IDF identified members of the PA, trained and funded by the US, who are terrorists by night? And there are tunnels and explosives 4) Israel lost too much by withdrawing from Gaza in 2005 ~~ look at how that allowed 20 years of military build-up against Israel. 5) Israel almost gave away the Golan Heights, and look what that would have done! Do not withdraw from Gaza ~~ push the boundaries of Israel out to naturally defensible boundaries like rivers and mountains and deserts and oceans, in defensive wars, so there can finally be longterm peace. Anyone who attacks Israel should get pushed back, and should lose land ~~ permanently. Only to the extent that this is legal under international law ~~ would someone please educate us about the relevant international laws concerning this? Why is no one talking about this? Hopefully the man who helped legitimize the Golan Heights can help.
