In his own words - From the fan, Don M, who created this masterpiece.
"I am an avid Giants football fan and also a retired cabinet maker. I have a scaled down model of the old Giant Stadium of which I am very proud. With the exception of showing it to other Giant fans and friends in my area, I have not publicized it yet. People who have seen this say there is absolutely nothing like it. They simply say 'WOW! This should be on TV or in magazines or newspapers.' I haven't told anyone in the media about this. It has been in the construction state for approximately 1 1/2 years. The only construction ideas I got were from demolition pictures on the internet. I kept the construction fairly close to scale except when limited by the area in which it was built (my two-car garage). Most materials were made out of wood - mahogany and poplar - 3/8" Baltic Birch, 1/32" plexiglass for the covers of the escalators (I used this because I wanted the escalators to be seen because of all the work that went into them). The stadium lighting was quite a challenge; bulbs had to be wired in parallel in sockets - very difficult at this scale.
After the stadium was finished I decided that I would like to have a trolley car from New York City to the stadium (as I always thought that might be a good idea). I also put a backdrop of a 16' x 7' mural of the New York skyline. I also have installed working elevators from the trolley station to the ground level of the stadium. As you will note, I have all four Super Bowl victories of the Giants with pictures of the stars, some autographed.
I have been fortunate enough to be retired for the past 25 years and have over a thousand lineal feet of garden railroad, 6 working waterfalls, a working windmill, and a working lighthouse on my property.
I never wanted the public on my property; however, now that I am 74 years old, I would like some recognition for my accomplishments. The stadium is on the grounds of my deli (Doghouse Bagel & Deli 141 RT 94 Blairstown NJ 07825). For people who want to view it on weekends, a $10 fee is charged. With that comes a $5 voucher to the deli and of course the viewing of the stadium itself. It can be seen during the week by appointment only. Call (908)-878-8161"

I'm a BIG passionate New York Giants fan myself. I loved their good old Giants Stadium. I think it was simpler and better. MetLife Stadium is definitely awesome. I only prefer the Giants stadium for it's tradition and simplicity.
Im a Eagles fan here. I've been to that stadium 4 time non of them were football games but I was there for 2 Drum Corp (DCI) Shows and 2 for my High School Marching Band Competition (On the Field) won many championships there our high school band thought that it was our Second Home since we won championships there. Being on that field was a mouth dropping Experience. Just coming out of the tunnel and looking up. Nice job on building the stadium

I am a scale modeler too, working on a couple of US Army dioramas right now.
There was a retiree in Quebec that built a scale model in his basement of the interior of the old Forum in Montreal. The article was in Sports Illustrated back in the mid 1980's
I read he got the idea from a accidentally spilled can of white paint that covered his basement floor.
But yours is much more detailed, and I love the "Direct Train" from boroughs idea!
I would've wanted to tailgate party at your mini stadium, I can almost taste those Italian beef sandwiches with giardinera and garlic sauce now.

I remember the 1994 USA World Cup just brilliant
....Be great to have spectators sitting on the seats, game players in action stance and working floodlights on. Even have the electronic score board on and with sound too.
It went from a stadium that could not fill it's seats, even with complimentary tickets that anyone could obtain onto a home that was full of life and memories , and standing room only. For fans and the players who showed up each and every week.

Almost entirely made from wood. The man behind this master piece is a retired cabinet maker and has at least one patent to his name(that I know of). Very clever guy, huge giants fan, and obviously good with his hands. I was fortunate enough to create this video and expose more people to the masterpiece he created.
