Imagine the greatness the cougars could have had, if Herman wouldn’t have chased money. I honestly believe if he wouldn’t have had all the controversy the following season, with the rumors, the cougars could have gone undefeated, and been a contender for the BCS. Instead, he let every one of his players and the university down and bowed out, even before the bowl game. That was a coward move, no matter what anyone says.
Buckeye fan here! i followed the cougars last season and it was awesome to watch! Congratulations!!! I think Urban got a little toooooo much credit lol If he stayed with the buckeyes i think we would have won it all again. Hope to see you guys in the playoffs!
That season was magical and I really look for the day the Cougars play against the Buckeyes. It's going to be like a movie, the prodigal son returns and its going to be slobber-knocker with the best team winning and honestly, I wouldn't mind one bit if we were to lose to you guys. Hopefully it happens one day.
Houston is a legit final 4! After watching them romp over #3 Oklahoma yesterday! I think Tom Herman brought his "Buckeye" swagger to Houston when he took the position...U of H better treat Tom well...because there are schools that want this guy to run their program!
Herman could have had it all at UH, the money, called all his own shots, the Power 5 conference and shot at the Nat champ. He could still be working as a coach and in the end could have had a statue on Cullen next to Yeoman. Oh well.
+Mogar McSwag Yeah it's a good school, but you should consider what kind of degree you want to pursue and do some research and see how UH matches up. Its law school is great, and it's entrepreneurship program is like top 5 nationally. Not bad for engineering too. The president has done so much to get UH on the right track. I mean she got it designated as a "tier one university" as recently as 2011 which I think was like her 4th year there. Definitely check it out at the very least.
+Mogar McSwag Plus consider where it is. Not many places are better than Houston in terms of job market. Both the city and university are on the up and up.
