Improving Sugar Beet with LIDAR and 3D Printing

Jonas Bömer and colleagues at the Institute of Sugar Beet Research (Göttingen) used Laser Scanning and 3D printing to create a detailed 3D model of a sugar beet plant, for use within sensor-driven phenotyping pipelines. See footage of how this is put together.
