Unsung hero of the band, him and Brann are the biggest songwriters in the band currently and Bill has written so man amazing riff. Just an awesome guitar player and musician.
@@puppetmaster8551 for years I thought my fav mastodon riffs were written by Brent, whos playing I admired for years. Turns out a lot of those are Bill.
@@asutera45 Brent writes a lot of cool stuff too but Bill is just an absolute metal riff machine, guy just churns out nonstop banger riffs their whole history.
You walk with boundless grace Think old thoughts from yesterday All being lost in the fire You wandered and lost the way Someone's always left behind When the door of life closes And you were slipping away What do I say to you? What do I say to you? And if I want you to stay What do I say to you? What do I say to you? This moment I take for you Think of all we didn't do All seeking answers from this Hope to come out alive Standing still my hands are tied Our eyes open up to the sky And you were slipping away What do I say to you? For me personally, probably Mastodons best song! Melodies, solos and vocals are going so well together that i can't think of another song (even black sabath) having such deep vibe. The song makes me think abouth the beauty of simlicity of musix and life in general.
Andrew Domonic I believe Brann's mic was catching cymbal too because while he sounded good per usual, something was messing up the sound coming from his mic
They sacrifice vocals to get a perfect instrumental performance... witch makes sense since they never were singers... idk who sang in troys and brents band still have to look that up but theyr too good at their insteuments to be just as good in vocals.
I also feel like they got bad vocal luck when they film their shows except for the few gems we got but i saw slipknot live in 2017 and they sounded better than any live vid i ever saw... and i dont live in a majot city... my theory is theyr vocals sound great prolly at the beggining of the tour but after 20 cities plus theyr voices start to faulter
I love this song, my first experience with mastodon was when I was kid playing need for speed most wanted (2005). Blood and Thunder got me hooked. Loved the band ever since
Brann has a really bad habit of riding the crash when he’s singing a chorus to the point it sounds like the sound guy in boasting his vocal mic also caught the cacophony of the damn cymbal, almost ruining this. Go to the ride in the choruses, man! 😉☺️
Bill’s harmonizing is phenomenal. One of the most under rated players out there
Unsung hero of the band, him and Brann are the biggest songwriters in the band currently and Bill has written so man amazing riff. Just an awesome guitar player and musician.
This band really doesn’t have a weak link. 🤘🏼

Brann's voice is incredible here
too bad Troy sounds like booty here.
His drumming alone is a workout, and then singing on top is so impressive. And he's getting constantly better at it.
the greatest band on the planet.
Absolutely! The best for years now

They've got my vote. I just discovered them about a year ago, and wow, am i glad.
those drum fills in the second verse are ridiculous
Brann invented the metal drum fill.. as a continous mesmerizing beat..
2:35 could listen to those sections on loop. Always make me feel alive. Perfection like everything they do.
troy is at least 60% wookie....
I think he's becoming a wizard
And 40% Muppet
no just 100% caveman
Bill is at least 100% hair transplant.
He is 100% awesome 😎
When I listen to Mastodon, so do my neighbors ❤️❤️🤘🏻🤘🏻
Fucking while listening to mastodon is also the best
@@johnlovesvictoria16 I prefer knitting Xmas gifts. A couple of rolls of yarn and I'm off chasing dragons in Game of Thrones.
The only correct answer.
Brann Dailor is one of the best drummers i've ever seen
Once more round the sun is one of there best albums.

One of the most favorite lyrics! 🤟🏻
Very powerful.
One of the few bands in the world that actually sound as good live as on cd
Um... what?
Mastodon is notorious for sounding much worse live.
That was insanely good. So proud of my heroes!
@WhoDarestheMAN gamer hmmmmmm, you sure about that my guy?
3:29 that fill!!!!!
Brann is a 10/10 drummer and singer. He is the best part of a great band.
For me personally, probably Mastodons best song! Melodies, solos and vocals are going so well together that i can't think of another song (even black sabath) having such deep vibe. The song makes me think abouth the beauty of simlicity of musix and life in general.
I love the drums in this song! \m/
Well, now we know why Brann has a partial plexi up behind his ride from now on. Brent's mic was lovin that cymbal.
Andrew Domonic I believe Brann's mic was catching cymbal too because while he sounded good per usual, something was messing up the sound coming from his mic
Hate how Brann hits that cymbal like a ride while singing choruses. Almost defeats the point of having a clean singer.
Ahhhh it makes sense now! Saw them live a couple weeks ago and was wondering what the fuck about that partial plexi hahaha
First time I heard Ember City it was my favorite song. Still top 10 but man it rode harrrrrrrrd when it dropped
playing this on drums is extremely therapeutic.
Love love Mastodon. Each man and the whole.
Do any of those guys ever make mistakes on their instruments? All four instrumental performances are incredible.
Live vocals (especially Brent's) has always been Mastodon's weakpoint.
I saw them last summer and there vocals were amazing...everything was amazing,...!!!
They sacrifice vocals to get a perfect instrumental performance... witch makes sense since they never were singers... idk who sang in troys and brents band still have to look that up but theyr too good at their insteuments to be just as good in vocals.

Daniel is on point
I always had this impressiona about them
Btw pls come to brasil
Brann Dailor: "I got a fever and the only prescription is more drum fills!"
BANDA SENSACIONAL !!!!
Is impossible to be this amazing live AND in walks Mastodon!
Please post the full version of this show. ¡Great soundwork guys!
Great performance ! That shot at 4:50 is so cool ^^
I love this song, my first experience with mastodon was when I was kid playing need for speed most wanted (2005). Blood and Thunder got me hooked. Loved the band ever since
I love this band...
Bills rhythm is flawless 😍
great performance!
Love this band so much, and this song always gives me strong Iron Maiden vibes.
the song i always play everyone when i talk about the 'Don.... no one like them, amazing....
This band is literally too good to be true. I swear
Snare sounds perfect.
Farkin' brilliant 🤌🏻🤌🏻
Great mix, awesome performance! There's a full concert coming next?
...thats a tasty jam live, heck yeah!
Amazing Mastodon 🤘🏻🤘🏻💪💪
It was my goal to see them this year. Dunno how it will happen but I want it to somehow.
Godamn they kill.
Raw unbounded talent
Brent looks like an Allman brother in this one! Cheers 🍻
Brann needs a better vocal mic setup to that crash doesn't wash in.
goddamn Brann's nare sounds like a shotgun
Fuckin' epic
最高!!!!!
Brann has some fucking pipes!
fukin masterpiece
Worried about Brent's voice, though. Seems to get weaker. Still amazing guitarist. Each of them are artists of his instrument.
Marianne Wade you shouldn’t though. in their recent European tour, he killed Iron Tusk and Aqua Dementia in every gig
It's the mix. The vocals should be a little bit more forward. It's drowned out by the guitars.
Did you gonna upload the full concert? This is awesome
We have 9 tracks in all which are being uploaded over the course of the next week
Can you re-upload full live Devilment please?
🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥🏇🏇🏇🏇🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘
They’re vocals have improved
Brann has a really bad habit of riding the crash when he’s singing a chorus to the point it sounds like the sound guy in boasting his vocal mic also caught the cacophony of the damn cymbal, almost ruining this. Go to the ride in the choruses, man! 😉☺️
Mix isn’t the worst I’ve heard but leaves more to be desired
Arrogant piece of shit
@Johan Thorstenson how was that statement arrogant lmao
What's the shirt Brann is wearing ?
Is this Chicago open air bridgeview?
Drumming style reminds me of Keith Moon.
that chorus is just . . . (complete this with your own words)
All the feels
I do a full cover of this song on my own here: th-cam.com/video/WLF8J4AkTY0/w-d-xo.html
4+5+10
Poor bass playing. Brent sounds too low as well.
George Soros I think it’s a good performance
It's almost like they don't practice
Wut
Man these guys are terrible live.
