In this video i have tried to explain the various aspects of CNG kits. I have tried to give an overall review of my experience. I have also listed down all the problems that I have faced. Please give your feedback in the comments section below. Thanks! Cheers!
I am using (tomasetto) CNG fitted figo 2011 for almost 5 years now. Fuel gauge and fuel pump stopped working because petrol could be spoiled if stored for long time. You should replace your fuel pump and you can ask your mechanic to clean complete fuel tank and accessories. You should change the relay as well to sync with CNG. Please dont use petrol which is stored for long time because it can generate more heat and can damage other system like cooling. Please avoid using petrol with 10% or more ethanol which can be spoiled even earlier. Thumb rule is.. if your momthly running is 1000 kms. Use 1000 worth of petrol monthly during start of engine and stop of engine like you said. Maintenance could be more in CNG fitted ford vehicles if not cared properly. Otherwise, it can run much smooth and efficient.

Mera bhi same problem ho raha hai brother cng pe chal raha hai lekin petrol meter niche ho ja raha hai. Or low dikha raha hai. Ford figo 2014 model. Cng Lovato kit.
Hi am planing to buy a used figo petrol to convert it into cng . My daily driving is about 130-150 kms . What is the millage I can expect per kg of cng . Am a responsible driver so am easy on the throttle and 75% of my driving is in highway . Kindly tell me if this is a good option or should I look for other cars .

I have a first owner 2007 zen estilo 67k kms runs. I hardly use car only for city use. Keeping in mind with car re registration do you think its worth converting this car to cng before 2022. Car is in best condition
How long do you wish to keep your car? Also, if you're considering to get CNG for city usage, I would not recommend it. You just won't get a good fuel efficiency after spending 40-50k

That totally depends on what your monthly running is and how long do you wish to keep your car. I have an analogy. You get a CNG kit which will cost around 45-50k. The cost of running when compared to petrol will become approximately half. But for the cost of CNG kit to break even, you'll have to run your car such that it crosses over 50k kms. So calculate and decide by yourself.

I own Ford figo 2010 Titanium fitted Lovato sequesntial CNG kit with mileage of 20-25 km with CNg.
same issues,
1. have fitted spacers but manageable.
2. Petrol gauge error.
Please share if you have arrived to some solution. It would be great Help.

If your car stalls in rain, you might wanna get your CKP Advancer tuned by a technician. Secondly, never use water as your coolant, use a proper coolant fluid

How about you do a Cost Benefit Analysis. Suppose you buy a CNG Kit for 45000/-, it will take some 50000kms of driving to break even that cost of installation. How long are you going to use a car manufactured in 2011. When do you plan to sell it? Ask all these questions to yourself and then decide. Cheers!
I have also faced the fuel meter problem....
I show this to a mechanic who has fitted more than 5000 cng kits
He told me don't panic....it in normal for ford cars
Back tyres sync with fuel meter....so it is shows fuel is going down
However petrol is still present in car enough....so drive without worry
Do service of car on time
And update cng kit sofware regularly

Same as petrol
Cost pretty much remains the same, it just you need to service your vehicle at regular intervals. I suggest switch to Iridium Spark Plugs. Cheers!

2 days back i got my car FIGO titanium petrol converted to CNG with Lovato brand kit.from day one i noticed that the fuel indicatior drops even when the car is running on CNG.
Even the DTE( Distance To empty) Showing significant drop.
Initially i saw the cng pressure inside cylinder at 110 kg. Roughly after driving 25 kms. The pressure dropped at 80 Kgs.( initially it was 3 points of cng & after the ride showing 2) So, we can assume that the car is working on cng. But at the same time The petrol indicator as well as DTE showing a drop.
Can u please explain what can be the issue?

The issue is majorly seen in cars having DTE feature. DTE is an approximation that the system does by calculating the number of time the wheels rotate and thereby calculate the number of KM's that can be travelled with remaining fuel. Both these sensors are connected, hence when you run on CNG, the DTE meter thinks you are running on Petrol and hence as the wheel spins, the DTE starts decreasing and eventually your fuel gauge dips. Similar issues is seen in iVtec's but there's a relay switch available in market, however as per my knowledge, no relay for Duratec available in market. I've been facing the same issue. Will let you know if i find some fix. Cheers!

Haa bilkul ho skate hai. Ignition mode pe karo, CNG ki switch press karke rakho and car start karo. Direct CNG pe start hogi but only use this in case of emergency. Engine ke liye bilkul healthy nai hai

Which Spark Plugs did you use & recommended. Can you reshare pls.
Go for NGK Irridium Spark Plugs. Its difficult to find original ones coz lots of first copy products floating around in the market. Cheers!

Wah bhai age se chote lag rhe ho but very mature review agreed almost on all points 😀. I have used company fitted CNG for almost 5 years. I would like to add one more point never ever ignore CNG leak. If you are feeling that kahi se CNG leak ho rha hai then switch off CNG cylinder valve put it in petrol mode and go to mechanic immediately. 👍

No, the issue still persists. But I suggest fill your tank with at least 20 litres of petrol and the gauge will work. It will dip once and then it will get refreshed.

Push ur fuel shift switch then take self.
Prashant is right here but use it only in cases of emergency. When the car starts, there is not adequate oil circulation done and most of the wear happens during cold starts. When you directly start the car on CNG, there will be more wear to your pistons and rings, so please it only in cases of emergency

I recently brought this Ford Figo 1.2 Petrol 2011 model, so far the car experience was amazing.
Only am not satisfied with the mileage, I don't know what is the exact mileage it gives in City condition.
As per the DTE reading it may give 9 kmpl, which is not really expected.
Could you please help me to clarify the real City mileage of this car.
Help me to share some tips to increase the fuel efficiency.
Actually am planning to fit CNG, but with your review I may better not go for CNG as it impact the performance.

Answering your questions
1. DTE is just an estimate and at times gives faulty readings, so do not rely on that
2. Mileage on your car depends on your driving habits and the way it has been driven since 2011. "Tip: For checking your mileage, fill up your till full and set your trip meter to zero. After a few days again refill your tank till full. Kms on trip meter, divide it by the number of litres of fuel refuelled and you will get your KM/L figure.
3. For increasing fuel efficiency,
-Be gentle on the throttle
- Shift the right RPM
- Maintain adequate Tire Pressure
- Regular Service
Note: Power loss is experienced on ALL CARS WITH CNG compared to PETROL even with company fitted kits.

Hey, same here. I'm also getting DTE as 8.5 even after trying all the possible ways I found on the internet. Now I changed my tires, let's see. Even though we change it to CNG and the performance gets low, the fuel efficiency is still a big plus for the car.

I have been referring this video since long time and other videos too related to Ford cng.
I wanted to share my experience to all the people who are thinking to install cng in Ford figo. I own Ford Figo 2010. And I have install gastech Italy kit in my vehical and have not seen the fuel guauge problem yet. I have installed the kit day before yesterday only. From what I understand the dealer which is govt authorized have installed ECU(I might be missspelling which is considered brain of system like cpu) is of gastech. So main think here is gastech italy ecu.
I’m seeing only a percent decrease in the performance wise which also I need to verify long
Distance. So my take is go for it only you are sure that dealer will take full responsibility and has done figo in past. ( I had visited him 3-four times before installing with all my research and queries resolved)
Dealer has assured me guarant for a year and life time warranty. He also has excellent rating in google.
What about the spare tire how to access that area in boot!
Need to fold the rear seats and then access the spare wheel!
