The extra money is fine. It's Paul's content that insults my intelligences. His act to most is getting as old as he is. I quit tuning in and watching these so called WANT A BEE's who live in Dramaguete Dramaguete. His teeth are so rotten from 50 years of smoking weed and Cigarettes. He is ALSO married to a 39 year old that acts 16. Look how she dresses. That chicken is so Embarrassing

It's true that Paul makes some money of the advertisement money. And that's okay.
It's true many of these vloggers repeat the same type of videos over and over.
Most influencers in general don't give a shiiiit about their subscribers. However, Paul is genuine guy.

I attended Orville's going away at Cafe Racer. I walked in past Paul who was smoking outside, introduced myself to the very recognizable Goldfinger, and proceeded to sit down. I found an empty seat next to Orville, who I didn't know. After a few minutes, Paul came back and sat on my left. Apparently, I'd stolen his seat next to the guest of honor. I was kind of oblivious, but spent quite a bit of time talking to Orville. I still didn't know he was the guest of honor for quite a while. I'm a bit introverted, so he broke the ice, and told some stories, and we got along well. I wish him the best of luck in his travels, and he gives me something to aspire to!

Orville is right about the visa situation in the Philippines. It’s very expensive to get: $10,000-$20,000 put into a Filipino bank account for the SRRV visa. In Cambodia, pay $290 for a multiple-entry, 12-month visa! It’s renewable every year for the rest of your life and you NEVER need to leave the country. No bank account to open. No income-qualifying. No background check. No health certificate. No reporting in to Immigration like in Thailand. It’s the easiest, cheapest, most uncomplicated visa in all of southeast Asia. The US dollar is used and English is widely understood. Siem Reap is clean and well-maintained with good roads. I’ve lived here for 2 years and Cebu City for 3 years.

We have had breakfast together a couple times this last week. That little devil has even tried to play matchmaker for me! Orville's "just don't call me Dad" remark is funny. I've moved around a fair amount in my life. In my experience I always hate the new place for at least the first 6 months. But after about a year I start to learn the new place. After 5 years I've always loved where I lived. It's not really the place, it's me. Millions of people like living in SE Asia. I can learn to love it too. It won't be the same as how I live in the US. But then I don't live in the US like 99.9% of Americans either.

Orville seems like a genuine cool & kind soul. If he does all this traveling solo somewhat like a hermit, it may become challenging once yur in the 80's but more power to him. The coffee thing is interesting, at 68 I drink about 3 a day & truly enjoy it & see no problem as long as it's moderation. I had a doctor tell me coffee is good antioxidant & don't get caught up with the bad hype.

    Hi 👋 Paul.
Another great 👍 video interview with Orville. He's the type of guy you want to be like, both physically and mentally,...
    .when you reach his age.
Orville is NOT a fool and he mentioned that a "major drawback" of the Philippines is the retirement visa cost, compared to other countries that he has been. Has he said,..the Philippines retirement visa cost is too expensive for someone to be able to stay permanently or to have a retirement visa there.
He also mentioned that he's a veteran and that he could get the retirement visa cheaper that way,..but he still thinks that's too expensive to do so.
I believe that was a major "drawback" for Orville and that's probably the reason that he's going to end up NOT retiring in the Philippines.
I completely understand and I agree 💯 % with Orville.
I only HOPE that the Philippines would "change" that retirement visa cost/charges for getting a retirement visa in the Philippines so that "regular people" that don't have that much savings ($10,000 - $20,000 U.S.) could more easily afford and apply for a retirement visa and live their retirement life there in the Philippines. Wishing Orville Safe Travels and Good Health always.
Thanks Paul for this video and take care.

Orville is right, to get the SSRV visa you need to deposit at least 10000, you will only get it back( off course less) when you give up your visa ore die and off course it will take a year and expencive paperwork, conclusion: the people are really friendly till money comes around the corner

We all here hope to see you return to our community, and wish you safe travels as you explore Central, South America and hopefully return to Southeast Asia! Bon-voyage, my friend!

My philosophy is that you need to do your recon missions and visit multiple places around the philippines. Don't judge the philippines on just one or two places because it is as diverse as any other place on the planet and there is a place for everyone if you just take the time to adventure out beyond the expat zones. If it's too hot then tagatay or baguio may be better for you. If you like fresh air and the ocean, then a coastal city may be for you. The first time I went to the philippines I got off the plane in Manila and I basically said "oh he'll no " lol but when I got out of the city and started to actually see the beauty of the country then I can understand why people fall in love with the country. Keep an open mind and do your research, and you will find your paradise or as close as you can get.
