Imagine being Fuji. Living in a house with two people totally obsessed with you, surrounded by objects of all different materials depicting your face. AND not having a job? Eternally jealous.
life hack: get free scraps of wood to practice on from any DIY store that does wood cutting :) they just throw them away anyway so usually if u ask nice they just give u whatever’s left over at the end of the day 😁
My mum has been doing woodburning for 30+ years, and I've done it for some of that time too. Some tips: When selecting wood, opt for pieces with less obvious grain. It's the grain or "rings"/"lines" in the wood that make it really difficult to get a smooth line. But don't go for manufactured wood either - craft wood is toxic when burnt! Pine is probably the best to work with. And yep, the tool you were using was a really shitty quality, but fine for a first try. If you continue with pyrography it's worth investing in a better tool. It was great to see you giving this a go!
For some reason I did this in like kindergarten/early school don’t know exactly when but I would guess I was like 5 or 6 based on the art that is on my piece of wood, idk where it is now, but I can imagine it clearly because it prided our old kitchen for years, but now I'm just thinking about the fact that somebody thought that a young child wielding a burning pencil was somehow a good idea
as someone who is not artistically gifted AT ALL i love watching someone like peej who is very artistic , i'm so curious to see how many of these art forms he continues to experiment with :3
i've been following pj on this channel for at least eight years now , and i must say 2024 has been one of my favorite years for this channel !! watching him try new crafts ( and be a fantastic cat dad ) has been so entertaining and i look forward to every new video !!!
since you're in your craft era, it would be so cool if some companies sent you a bunch of different art supplies and different mediums to try out, maybe trying to make the same thing out of different mediums and seeing how each project ends up! when you were talking about coming up with a design, ironically I think the line art of the landscape of the happy alone shirt you were wearing during that part of the video would look super cool with pyrography! it would make cool gifts too, wood burning places that hold special memories for people to display. your videos always inspire me to try new things, thanks for sharing!!
I’ve been doing pyrography for about 2 years now and I’ve made some stuff I really love. Amazing to see a lot of people also get into it. But yeah I recommend a pen that you can change the heat on for more consistent burn lines
I would either wax or clear coat your artwork in order to preserve it . I had a wood burning kit when I was in my early teens and I loved it . I even used to engrave a few plastic pieces(they were thick plastic) and I also did a coconut (after shaving it & sanding it). Look forward to seeing more of your artwork soon!
That one song during the main log creation will always be associated to Mark Rober for me. I kept expecting it to turn somehow into an engineering project, haha.
I'm more in the fiber arts realm of crafting, so I always enjoy getting to live vicariously through watching you try the crafts I've always been curious about like this 😂 Also, if you put this design out as a sticker or something, I would 100% buy it lol
i love how these videos make me feel calm and also artsy for a little even if i can't dedicate time to it bc of life sometimes. it's a nice little breather 🖤
you could try getting some sort of non conductive material like silicon to wrap around it! or just some gloves but that may feel bulky and make it harder to feel like you can control the pen, not sure tho
every time i think what other art mediums are out there, you really turn up with another genius idea sdjfs. this was such a fun video and the art pieces turned out amazing! loved the 'loafin about' design :')
The moment I discovered wood burning, I literally was running around like a beaver looking for wood. No one was safe from receiving wood burned gifts for a solid year 😅😅
Love the video as always ❤ It would be super cool if you did a bunch of different designs on your test squares and sell them or give them away to a few lucky subscribers! I know I’d love to have a piece of PJ art in my home 😊
I’d LOVE to try wood burning, but if my past experience with a hair straightener is anything to go by my hands will have 10 mini Zuko cosplays by the end of it
I'm a pyrographer, and I will vouch for you that the pen and kind of wood you use make all the difference. That pen sucks and different woods burn differently, especially with those pesky rings. But you nailed it, woodn't have known you were a beginner 😉
what wood is best in folks opinions? i got bought a pyrography pen randomly one year as well as some very soft wood blank tree ornaments... sadly the pen did not work very well on the soft wood and i was discouraged pretty quickly
Idk if you already did it but you can go to another level now and do handpoke! A little one. Ytube doesn't restringe them and maybe you discover a New identity in the process lol
PJ!! Not to sound like idk an internet comment but I’m a cat owner and I heard those salt lamps are unsafe for cats! They can lick them and then get sick. I’ve just heard people say to keep it out of their reach!!! :3
omggg pj i was soo into wood burning art a few years ago, and you've just reminded me of that thank uu🥹🥹 also once i went crazy and I've made portraits and then added realistic features using watercolour (and it worked pretty well tbh) also fuji portrait you've made is the cutest thing I've ever seen
I looove pyrography, my father made me a lil wooden table for my balcony that I can practice on! I ran into same issues with a cheaper pen and grooved wood but it's still super rewarding 🥸
"i am in my craft era" - you out of the womb
burning art?? call that artson
sounds like a joke i would make
@@KickThePj well what can i say, i learned from the best
*Ba Dum Tss*
Imagine being Fuji. Living in a house with two people totally obsessed with you, surrounded by objects of all different materials depicting your face. AND not having a job? Eternally jealous.
AND people online really wanting to see her all the time. Truly a cult leader, as all cats should be tbh
absolutely ZERO surprise to hear that pj didn't read the instructions before using a pen that could cause a fire
pyrographer? i hardly
Evil Pj went to the shop before you.
WOOD you look at that
Pyrography more like Por-
DON'T SAY IT

Fuji is so cultured, a lover and patron of the arts!
"I'm in my crafting era" pj you've been in your crafting era for the last 10 years 😂
For some reason I did this in like kindergarten/early school don’t know exactly when but I would guess I was like 5 or 6 based on the art that is on my piece of wood, idk where it is now, but I can imagine it clearly because it prided our old kitchen for years, but now I'm just thinking about the fact that somebody thought that a young child wielding a burning pencil was somehow a good idea
as someone who is not artistically gifted AT ALL i love watching someone like peej who is very artistic , i'm so curious to see how many of these art forms he continues to experiment with :3
watching u learn more crafty skills makes me want to be more crafty
i've been following pj on this channel for at least eight years now , and i must say 2024 has been one of my favorite years for this channel !! watching him try new crafts ( and be a fantastic cat dad ) has been so entertaining and i look forward to every new video !!!
As someone who works at a craft store, go show the guy at the lumber yard what you made, I'm sure he'd love to see it
This turned out too cute and I'm sure Fuji loved it too!
loving to see all the new creative outlets youve been trying!
since you're in your craft era, it would be so cool if some companies sent you a bunch of different art supplies and different mediums to try out, maybe trying to make the same thing out of different mediums and seeing how each project ends up!

Yess I was also thinking his shirt was a perfect design
the fuji design is adorable!! and the finished piece looks so cool, it would look really nice hanging up somewhere outside
The fire effects in this video is too hot to handle!
PJ not reading the instructions? I am shocked
I’ve been doing pyrography for about 2 years now and I’ve made some stuff I really love. Amazing to see a lot of people also get into it. But yeah I recommend a pen that you can change the heat on for more consistent burn lines
it might be a cool project to design some kind of tabletop game wood pieces using the pyrography pen!
Love how this is just a Fuji fan art channel now

The loafing Fuji is perfect! You did great! Love the design.

istg every time i get a notification from u you're learning a whole ass new hobby How do u Do it
next video will be smth like Learning How to Climb Mount Everest!
i love how these videos make me feel calm and also artsy for a little even if i can't dedicate time to it bc of life sometimes. it's a nice little breather 🖤
My woodburner was so cheap the handle burnt me :(
Random but i love your pfp
Gerard with a skirt my beloved
you could try getting some sort of non conductive material like silicon to wrap around it! or just some gloves but that may feel bulky and make it harder to feel like you can control the pen, not sure tho
I decorate little wooden chests with wood burning. One of my favorit i made was a chest for D&D Dice and i used D&D and Dice themed decorations.
I love wood burning!! I made wood burnings/paintings on the wood for everyone’s Christmas gifts this past year! :)
such a cute design!!
When have you not been in your craft era??
(As always, love the vids where you try out a new art form!)
Your crafting and DIY content is my favourite content to watch
every time i think what other art mediums are out there, you really turn up with another genius idea sdjfs. this was such a fun video and the art pieces turned out amazing! loved the 'loafin about' design :')
i love to live vicariously through you, instead of trying all kinds of crafts for myself (as it gets v v pricey) ❤
your a&c vids are always so fun!!
The moment I discovered wood burning, I literally was running around like a beaver looking for wood. No one was safe from receiving wood burned gifts for a solid year 😅😅
You should make a piece of art pilling all the art technics you've learned
you should burn a design on a wooden birdhouse! I’ve been wanting to do that for a while!
Just waiting for Peej to buy a tattoo machine and fake skin next
You should totally try making stained glass or doing Lino prints next! I’ve just started and it’s so much fun!
Pyrography is sooo fun, love it :)
love the design! seems like a fun craft to try
Love the video as always ❤ It would be super cool if you did a bunch of different designs on your test squares and sell them or give them away to a few lucky subscribers! I know I’d love to have a piece of PJ art in my home 😊
This was such a cool video!! Loved to see you try this out
I would love to see some wood burning for an autumn video, it just gives me those vibes. Maybe you could do a Halloween design on something 🎃☺️
"Flame on" huh? What did you know PJ, WHAT DID YOU KNOOOOOOW!?
Now I'm considering getting into wood burning.
The mayo cat in many art forms!!
We had this tool at my school in the wood working shop. I always made something with it, cause I loved the smell 😂
that looks cool! have you ever tried linoleum art? maybe a fun one to try out as well
the final art reminds me of that person on tumblr who has a green cat
Always wanted to try this. I have a very old wood carving on my wall and I want to deepen the groves..
I love that your art has been so Fuji focused ❤ And pryography seems so interesting, I'll have to try it!
do a pokemon pyrography!!! loved this peej
IT TURNED OUT SO GOOD omg I wanna try woodburning now!!!
Fuji is the best muse ever
he is the jack of all crafts
i keep seeing a pyrography kit in my local craft store every time i go in and now i see this video.... is this a sign for me to try out for myself too
Fuji should be every artist's muse
Ohh I did this a lot when I was like 8-9 years old using some old Soviet pyrography pen so I was sure you can handle it :DD
I’d LOVE to try wood burning, but if my past experience with a hair straightener is anything to go by my hands will have 10 mini Zuko cosplays by the end of it
that's fire, chef
After the Mayo cat test piece, I expected a Lumber cat version.
I bought the exact same pen a month ago and made a door sign.
I want that shirt!
i wonder how it's like to draw on wood first tho! but this is fire!!
vicariously living through peej's arts n crafts i have no funds or access to. /lighthearted /positive
Okay but updated office tour when 👀
Does anyone know what the music is in the intro? Love the video Peej! :)
I'm a pyrographer, and I will vouch for you that the pen and kind of wood you use make all the difference. That pen sucks and different woods burn differently, especially with those pesky rings. But you nailed it, woodn't have known you were a beginner 😉
you could make a wimmelbild on a table!
Me encantóooo el video 🫶🏻
can't believe pj did this and then went on to forget that the word refer even exists
I have my Woodburner but haven't used it in yearssss 😅
i do this with a magnifying glass on sunny days when i’m bored maybe it’s time to take on the real thing
Should I destroy my soldering gun trying this? Yes.
Thank you peej
Bullet cat ❤❤❤❤❤ my dog lies down like that I love it❤
what wood is best in folks opinions? i got bought a pyrography pen randomly one year as well as some very soft wood blank tree ornaments... sadly the pen did not work very well on the soft wood and i was discouraged pretty quickly
Pine is probably best, but with as little grain as possible. It's the grain or oil in the wood that makes it difficult to create smooth lines.
Evil log lmao
the log slices Kida look like lily pads
He said he's in his craft era 💀💀💀 (if you know you know)
Idk if you already did it but you can go to another level now and do handpoke! A little one. Ytube doesn't restringe them and maybe you discover a New identity in the process lol
Pj may I make a music request?
Say No more to Mark Rober
Say yes to Mark Rebillet 👏👏
Awesome job pj drop a like.
America is cooked but you know who’s really cooking? Peejay
loafin
nice
PJ!! Not to sound like idk an internet comment but I’m a cat owner and I heard those salt lamps are unsafe for cats! They can lick them and then get sick. I’ve just heard people say to keep it out of their reach!!! :3
Early Gang, PJ! 😊💙🖤💛💕💞✨☀️🎉
you not reading the instructions why are you like this..
wahoooooo
How is crabstickz going me and the gang need him to know he’s got an active fan base in Perth Western Australia
omggg pj i was soo into wood burning art a few years ago, and you've just reminded me of that thank uu🥹🥹
