Even though I had faith that things would get sorted, I genuinely didn't think having a channel deleted would have made my heart sink the way it did. But I also didn't anticipate the immense need to rejoice once we could revisit your creations again. Welcome back, hoping you're here to stay a little longer 💝

These are great PJ! Some tips for the future: throw faster and keep your arms braced against your body; it also helps to trim pieces thrown on the wheel to take some clay away from the bottom and sides so everything isn’t so heavy (do be light handed; I gouged holes in many creations at this stage); and please, for the sake of my sanity, get the kiln in a more fire proof space😰

I’ve been doing pottery for 15 years and the speckles in the glaze (I call those kinds jungle gems) are little pieces of glass that melt in the kiln to create those dots! It’s really cool.

everything looks so good! scratch some hatch marks with a needle then use some wet clay to glue pieces together. the hatch marks help it grip on to each other! I miss doing pottery, used to be my after school activity. can’t wait to see more!

Sand down that yellow glaze on that chonky bowl and wipe with damp sponge.
Add a tinsy-wincy bit of barium carbonate (I've got shed-loads and I'd send you some if it wasn't frowned upon to send white powders in the post) to the glaze mix, and re-apply, re-fire.
Don't forget the cones, cones, cones!
    Next up: slip casting??

So happy you tried this out!! I fell in love with pottery, specifically wheel throwing, 6 years ago. Since then I've been always making, learning and being inspired by others. I hope you DO try this again! There's a vast variety of how to make things with clay. Never know what you might gravitate towards.

this reminded me of the massive art video, the claw machine video and those videos where PJ would just try random stuff.
to me, they feel like those long lost days when you would just do paint a wall, or bake a cake or make pillow forts around the house or just do anything and everything with your cousins (or friends) because the days were long and you could fill them with whatever you like, because responsibilities just didn't exist as a kid during summer break
a feeling of comfort washed over me just as the first few seconds were playing
    i really missed the feeling.
thank you so much PJ, for still uploading.

I have been doing wheel throwing and pottery for about 4 years now and honestly for a first go at it this is very impressive! It takes a long time and a lot of trial and error to get this stuff right but honestly it will only get easier and its super cool to see someone else get into the art form since a lot of people quit after they make their first pot, good on ya!! (Also those glazes are sick!!!!!)

    slap? slop? slip? yes
you got there eventually peej👍🏼pottery takes a ton of practice. i've been throwing for two years now and i still feel like a very clumsy caveman playing in the mud but dang it it's so fun
edit: just finished the video and pj lemme tell you after quarantine all of my creative juices had been completely sucked outta me and when i started pottery i felt like an imposter surrounded by peers i viewed as much more creative than myself, but i enjoyed potting so much that i pushed myself everyday to do something i was proud of. now my dream is to have my own studio and be able to play in da clay all the time. pottery truly helped me find joy in my art again and i'm so thankful for it. i can’t wait to see what future creations you make!

Yay! We gain another potter :,) I personally prefer hand building creatures but throwing can be so rewarding once you get the hang of it. I keep my elbows braced within my thighs to hold it steady, but that's just me! Also, chipping glaze is usually one of two things, so you're not wrong! clay body, or improperly reconstituted glaze!
