I'm a barber with 39 years in the craft and 32 year as a licensed instructor. I only used the master corded and the fast feed corded. Been with Babyliss even when they had the forfex and still with babyliss corded. I have upgrade to caliber, stylecraft, Gamma etc all corded. No disrespect to Andis but the really need to step the game up. I only use my masters for bulk hair. Thanks bro🎯💪🏾💈
I’ve heard a lot of bad things about those clippers. I hate to be negative. But I don’t think Andis has put out a quality product in a long time…🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
@@Faded_By_Des I don’t have a pair of gold ones. I had three regular masters. The blade springs would constantly break. And they all sound like lawnmowers🤷♂️🤷♂️
@@jasonmercurio1928 yea I called andis and they sent me like 20 blade springs so I got them on deck and hopefully they don’t break anytime soon but any thing mechanic bound to have little faults even vehicles
What clipper would you recommend for fading? I’ve heard you talk about the saber with the taper blade. I use the apex with the fusion blade but they cut so close sometimes it’s not forgiving. I like the way the corded fast feed feels and fades but I hate the cord.
I wish Andis would make this head that would fit on the ZR2. Giving us an adjustable blade to pop on the universal joint. That would sell like crazy, I think

So when I heard "detachable" I thought we would get a fade and taper "adjustable Blade" that would fit all detachable clippers not the proprietary crap that makes people go all or nothing. Would LOVE to debulk with a 00000 and then slap on a taper blade adjustable.
The purple SINGLE magnetic guards will fit perfectly. Go check out my Rob Ceezy unboxing video of the Andis reVITE and you will see. I also didn't care for the clippers at all but I think they are good for detailing work only.

Blade being able to be popped off so easily by accident just disqualifies this clipper entirely. Andis got a a guard system that made them special, but instead they don't make their newest clipper compatible with them, why? Stupidest move ever, you got people literally getting rich by selling mods so that other clippers can use the double magnetic guards and Andis don't make other clippers than the Master using them.
I'm surprised that they would go through the trouble of creating detachable adjustable clippers to only make two blades for them. If they made a phat master blade for it, I might be interested. However, based on your review I'm going to have to pass. I'm excited to see where this clipper goes in the future, as I feel that it has a lot of potential.

What cordless clipper do you recommend? I currently use a corded andis master. Looking for a cordless.
You might like the mythic they are cordless magnetic and on sale but they cut similar to the masters and you could even use the masters blades on it

Jrl 2020c feels pretty close to a fast feed. Slower rpm, full lever opening, plastic housing except it’s a little lighter and it has that bevel shape.

I never been a fan of Andis clippers, their trimmer’s are alright
You have to press down on the clips that hold the blade secured to keep the blade from popping off 🤷♂
