I'm Second generation Canadian it never leaves lol. My grandfather was born in Glasgow. My mother's family is from Limerick Ireland. Don't mess with either one of them. My Nan hit my granddad in the head with a cast iron frying pan,then called a cab to take him to the hospital. The other one would pick fights at sporting events.

Anyway she got torn into him speaking drunken fluent italian, and cops were called. They were in shock (as I was)at this sweet looking lady with her venom and vitriol. Don't mess!
But Scandinavian (regardless of Viking history) people are sophisticated, mature, intelligent, reserved, non violent and generally honest and nice. The women are generally presentable, with necks as well. 🤣😂

The Gaelic branch includes Ireland, Scotland and Man. The Brythonic branch includes Wales, Cornwall and Brittany (northern France, they moved to get away from the Romans I understand ). The Brythonic people lived all over Breton (England) when it was conquered by Rome.

Scotland County North Carolina. Growing up here I had a totally unrealistic view of my mom's ancestors and my Scottish counterparts in the mother country. I've been shunned as a hothead lunatic from the early days of school. Little do they know I have more in common with actual Scots than the watered down image tauted by the local historical society and their ilk. Makes me feel good seeing this.

Hahaha. Couple things I am interested in to know about Scotland. Does every city have it's own culture? Like how are Glasgow people different from people in Edinburgh. Another thing I wonder about is all the Scottish dialects/accents. I thought it was just Lowlander accent and Highlander accent, but I have heard about other regional accents. Can you understand all of them? Like if someone was speaking with a thick Doric accent, could you understand them?

You wanna talk hardcore ? The ghetto I grew up in I'd be sitting listening to music with my bedroom window open and from time to time I'd hear GODDAWFUL shrieks . One night I heard one and realized it was coming from the apartment building of a woman who was of my mother and also worked with her,My Mother said she would ask her friend, When she got home from work the next day my Mom said her friend wasn't in work.So I walked her over to her friends apartment and her friends door had police tape across it and that worried my Mom even more. When Mom came home from work the next day I found out what happened. My mom had no need to worry about her friend. Apparently in this Ghetto community there was an odd custom. Her friend's boyfriend liked to go out drunking and stagger home at 2 ,wake her up and end upyelling and screaming and heaping verbal abuse before passing out. UNTIL the other night when he decided verbal abuse wasn't enough .She told my Mother "I fixed it don't worry. After he passed out I went to the kitchen and got me a good size pan and I filled it with sugar and poured just a little water in. Then I watched until the water boiled away." So my Mom asked "Why would you boil a pot of sugar ?' The answer " Cause water don't stick when you poor it over their head." The female of the species is always more dangerous.
A lot of glaswegians can sound really aggressive, both women and men, and tbh they can be really violent.. Not very nice is it 😕 Tourists should be wary!! I hate these stupid generalisations like 'everyone loves the scots' seriously try bloody living here in glasgow!!!! The nice people are in the minority 😉 Truth!!
