Holy shit dude, the quality of the performance and sheer production value of the recording and video were totally unexpected. Looks and sounds fantastic through and through. Is this self-produced / your home studio? Subscribed and bell'd regardless.
Thanks man! Yeah that is my home studio- I work in sound but folk music is the thing that I can’t stop obsessing over. I plan on making these covers a weekly or bi weekly thing though! So thank you for subscribing and look forward to more!
@@celticmetaldude4717 As someone also in sound, you've kinda got my ideal "desert-island" (or mountain cabin!) setup for recording acoustic music: small diffuse room, matched pair of 184s, and a pair of Genelecs. Love the corner diffuser made outta CDs in the desk shot, such a clever idea, want to do something similar in my venue. Are you able to slot them in and out to "adjust" your acoustics, or go after certain quarter waves with the distances between them?
So the cds are swappable, but that was a happy accident with corner diffusion! It works well but on the opposite corner I have a little foam pyramid to absorb extra sound between the genelecs- but feel free to hit me up via email about sound specifics at celticmetaldude@gmail.com! Happy to talk shop outside of the comment thread on TH-cam just so we don’t bite everyone else 😉
Just found this, I like it a lot! I like Equilibrium a lot (apart from their new album, which is a sad exception), so seeing a cover of their music is great. I like your instruments all a lot, well played. Sounds super close to the original actually. When I listened to it for the first time I wasn't too big of a fan of your vocals, but now that I've listened to it a few more times I think I like them too. It isn't Robse level of awesomeness yet, but he's also just really really good, and he probably can't play as many instruments either :)
Definitely not Robse level! This style of singing is actually pretty new to me, but I like a challenge and I wanted to expand my vocal range so took the opportunity to do both with this cover.
Only one so far! But I want to do a cover every week or two, and when I don't have time for a full cover (cuz these take a while to make) I'll just do a folk tune or just bohdran cover or something. I literally launched the channel this afternoon.
Rock on!!!
I just crush on this dude... Such a marvelous way of covering. 🤘🔥
cant imagine how much hardwork you've put inside of it, very well done!
medieval folk acoustic THIS IS MY WORLD ...KEEP IT UP BRO ツ
OMFG the "double bass" on the bohdran at 3:27 So good!
great cover man, thank you so much for that
This is amazing. Good job dude!
Amazing!
