Mr. Michaels deserves a regular show. His technical insights are invaluable. Mr. Michaels explains the technical side of horology with great clarity and common sense. There is a great demand for this type of content.
Nothing better than listening to an authority with artisan skills. Especially when the passion can be delivered articulately... look forward to more of Mike...
Mike - I’m a drummer. Are there watches that you might suggest that can handle the punishment? I’m assuming “G Shock” thus the name. I’m fond of all the Luxury brands but currently in the Oris price buying range. PS I truly enjoy and appreciate your content.
I have a question about time trials. Like the ones they used to perform in observatories: How did they know between two watches which was the more precise? You would an absolute reference (nowadays an atomic clock) but there was no such thing in 1950s.
Tim Mosso thinks that the Panerai BMGTech PAM692 and Doxa divers have the best built “non locking” (i.e., like the Omega PloProf) diving bezels..What is your opinion Michael? I
Rhese are good 101 videos but i wish you could take it up one level to abot more technical, for instance here you could explain the difference between all bezel material used.plus how is a bezel manufactured what is an insert exactly ,how do some like blancpain and grandseiko cap a metal bezel with saphire erc. I would love to know these things, i think more would too
With the upcoming holiday season and other projects, the Classroom had to take a hiatus while the video team works on other projects. But it's not gone forever and will be back, so keep an eye out on the channel and thanks for watching our content!
The sickest watch channel on youtube. Close second is ticktocking. Third is amsterdam vintage watches, but thats just because I'm Dutch. (zo, ik heb mijn internet zegje weer gedaan)
Mike could do a Classroom vid on what the minute hand does and I'd enjoy it

I belive BLANCPAIN were the firts to add a rotating bezel as a tool to measure your dive time.

More of this guy please! Very informative, loved it!
You forgot to mention “countdown” bezels like the SINN104. But this was informative for me. Thanks for the info!
Mike, do you wear your expensive watches on the Harley? I've heard the vibration could be problematic for the watch
Denis Barry I do all the time. No issues.
didnt Blancpain had the first diver (5o fathoms) with a rotating bezel? or there were bezels before that werent used for diving? thanks!
Love Mike - he always reminds me of Stanley Tucci :-)
Enjoyed the video very informative

Hi there... Could you please explain the bidirectional tachymeter bezel of Tissot..?
I have a question about time trials. Like the ones they used to perform in observatories:

Thanks Mike!
Great video. Thanks for the information.
Hey Mike have you seen Ultra Clear Bezels for multi-monitors?
Is there actually someone on TH-cam explaining how to READ and USE the different bezels? Fixed ones and rotating ones?
Wasn't the Moonwatch the first to have numbers on the bazel?
Hi what's the use of bidirectional bazel
Great job mike 👊
My favorite watches with metal bezels are: Rolez Daytona 16520, Omega speedmaster 57, Breguet WWI TZ9 ....

Great video! Answers to all the questions you felt too dumb to ask!! 🙏
Why are some drive bezel printed backwards?
Brilliant! 👏👍
Rolex GMT , Submariner started with the Turnograph.

TGV : that guy vanished

The age of Frankenstein that irobot can never erase
I still don't understand how it works besides the time change at east-west/back travel
finally
Take a shot every time he says 'bezel'
gd stuff
Always nice to see Mike but I hope he's not really a Harley guy. 😉
Didn't explain the captive bezel design at all, pity.
