  • IK Multimedia AXE I/O One Audio Interface amzn.to/3rfyyEB
    The debate for THE BEST BUDGET INTERFACE for guitarists and bassists has ended because IK Multimedia's AXE I/O just blew all of the interfaces outta the ranks! This is especially true for those who are new to home recording. The AXE I/O One is loaded with unique features that's specifically designed with guitar and bass players in mind! Features like the Z-TONE impedance control, JFET input selection, expression pedal/MIDI foot switch controller input ANNND the dedicated Amp Out for reamping are simply not found on other interfaces! If you've been thinking about getting an interface so you can record your next awesome riff or solo idea, but you're stuck in tutorial hell and not knowing which interface to get, your search journey ends here!
    Also, what is reamping? Preamp vs reamp? Since these audio engineering terms can be VERY confusing for those who are new to the home recording world, we also briefly addressed these topics.
    Hope you enjoy the review, and don't forget to comment and let me know what you think!

    I just miss a power switch on the Axe I/O One. It’s quite annoying to unplug the cable every time. 😕

    Does it work with mobile DAWs?

    Hey, Looking for an audio interface your program have been recommended... i have a question because I did not quite grasp the amp out thing. Will i be able to use my vox amp as monitor or buying monitors is an absolut need ? Thanks ahead from a French noob. Your playing is very good and the whole presentation is great.

    • @Shredberry

      Thank you so much for your kind words! Technically speaking yes you could use your amp as a monitor but in a limited capacity since that's not designed to be a "monitor". As far as I know, the Amp Out will only route guitar signal out so if you have MIDI drums and what not it won't come out through your amp. You'll have turn To Amp Out on on the AXE I/O Control Panel app (separate app). For more info, you can check out this IK tutorial! Cheers!

    Hey man! The video is great 💪
    How big is the delay?

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you sooooo much! By delay do you mean latency? I personally don't feel anything between Tonex or BIAS FX2. I do know some people say they don't use amp sim because of the latency. Personally I've only experienced latency when my computer is acting dumb lmao

      @@Shredberry you mean you're using tonex or bias WITH axe or what?

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nikita-bikita sorry just now saw your reply 😬 yes I use both the Tonex and BIAS FX2 with the Axe I/O. Personally I don’t feel like there’s any delay with the interface with or without an amp sim.

    Nadie hace una prueba de la diferencia en ganancia de decibeles entre la scarlett y esta. No hay demos sobre esto. Dalvo por el echo que incorpora jack de entrada para pedales de expresión, no veo motivos para reemplazarla por mi scarlet.

    Is there any huge noise when using high gain amp on tonex plugin?

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nothing out of the ordinary from my experience :) Tonex has built-in noise gate too. However, unlike AmpliTube or other amp sims, Tonex's focus is mainly on amps so there's limited pedals and chaining options you can play around.

    Hi, can we record two channels simultaneously in real time (One DI and one from AMP OUT) or we need two separated inputs for this situation?

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I almost said yes but I forgot that’s not the case for the I/O One because the I/O One only has one combo input. However, you can still capture your amp with the Amp Out feature by using the Axe Controller software. You’ll connect your mic to the input, and your amp with the Amp Out. The Controller software has a couple pre recorded DI guitar riffs that you can play. That’s the only way I/O One works. If you want to record two channels simultaneously with DI and mic’ed amp via the Amp Out, you’ll need to get the upgraded version with more inputs. Hope that helps!
      If you want some visual as to how the amp capture setup looks, simply search “reamping with Axe IO One”. There are many good tutorials including IK’s own! Cheers and thanks for stopping by!

      @@Shredberry Hey, thanks for the detailed answer. I had a similar thought but I was looking for expert confirmation :) So you helped me with the conclusion.
      Yep, with I/O ONE it seems that it is necessary to reconnect the cables (after DI recording) and than start reamp recorded DI on a separate channel (with tone from external rig). Cheers!

      @Shredberry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dpolo567 You're right! The reason why I got it confused at first is because I watched a bunch of tutorial on reamping but they were all using the larger model which has more inputs lol Very glad to be able to help! And thanks for your kind comment!

    Hello! How does this audio interface work with Windows 11?

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! It should be plug-and-play just like Mac. I just checked IK's website to see if there's driver required and I don't see any. The most important thing is that you'll need to have a DAW to fully utilize it. You can always use the Tonex desktop software just to experience the amp sim function but you won't be able to record anything.

    Can be used with iOS iPad? That’s what I play through sometimes a Mac.

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry for the late reply, I think it should but you'll need the right connection aka adaptor/cable etc. With apps like GarageBand, Amplitube, BIAS FX... etc any USB enabled interface should theoretically work with an iPad. I don't have the right connection to try unfortunately so I cannot give you a definitive answer.

    Hello I’m new to interface and I have it all set up. However there’s two things I can’t figure out. One is that it’s not a constant hum like 60 cycle, but Periodically there’s just a buzzing sound, like every 30 seconds or so. I’ve tried different cables, speakers, rebooting, the whole troubleshoot checklist it seems and I can’t figure it out. The other thing is just the sound quality of my guitar is doesn’t not sound as good as others? Any help would really really be appreciated. Also excellent video

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there, that sounds pretty bizarre. Since you've tried couple things, I would ask if you've tried with a different guitar? And does the same guitar have this buzz/hum when it's plugged into an amp? If it's not the interface, cable, my guess would be the guitar. Perhaps it's a grounding issue or possibly the pickup. Ofc without actually hearing and seeing your set up I can't tell with any confidence. However, if you can confidently rule out the instrument, and you only have one interface then I'd contact the interface's support. I hope this helps!

    Hello, Is it possible to loopback audio (tonex for example) for streaming/recording?

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on how your streaming system is set up. If you're streaming from desktop (macOS specifically), having an interface is definitely the most ideal because you can select your interface as an audio output on OBS to get the computer internal audio out. Otherwise it's exceptionally annoying to include computer audio on OBS on Mac. However, since the I/O One only has one input, you won't be able to set up a mic and play at the same time. You'll need to set up two input devices on OBS in that case (if you wish to talk on your stream). I don't know how this interface would work for mobile streaming or if it would work at all, so that I won't be able to help. Cheers!

    Hello friend! This audio interface can be unlinked from the account, for example, if I want to sell it later?

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That was a good question cuz I wondered for a loooong time how I'm supposed to remove products I registered to my account. According to discussions on IK's own forum, the only way to deregister/remove a hardware product from your account is to contact their support team. If it's software you'll have to buy their "license transfer credit" in order to transfer software license which is USD20. Hope that helps!
