I love the idea of a space wolves army built around 3 big transports. I made a list with 2 land raiders and a spartan similar to these ones with similar cargo, supported by 3 big blocks of infantry, 2 dreadnoughts, 2 sabres, 2 predators, a whirlwind, and a vindicator Basically use heavy troops in transports to take out key targets, and the space wolves legion trait allows them to keep up speed with the mechanized forces
A thought that popped up as they were talking about the rolls. If a vehicle is immobilised, can it not be repaired/fixed? Would need a Techmarine or a Techpriest admittedly. Also, how on earth did that WE dreadnought at 35:00 get up there?
@@timostegemann9738 Is that why entire units of elite close combat troops can be wiped out in combat without managing to do a single thing? Seems unfun when you can't move or you'll get charged on your own turn and you can't charge or you'll be hit with even more attacks hitting first. So the only option is to stand there and wait to die.
@@timostegemann9738 The red butchers couldn't move or Russ would've been able to charge and kill them in Winters turn. The terminators didn't charge because Russ would've got even more attacks. Both expensive elite units had to resort to weird, unfluffy tactics and were wiped out in one round of combat anyway. Not fun to watch imo.
The artificer tanking is pretty absurd, not a huge fan of how easy it is to immobilize your own vehicles by moving them, and the konga line deepstriking is straight silly. HH (like 10th) needs some work.
Yeah, artificer stuff is just silly imo, though I can see why people do it. Nobody likes losing their cool special guys to sheer overwatch. And iirc, you can deal with vehicle immobilization by getting Dozer Blades, though I’m not certain if Land Raiders have been banned from using them (or worse, if he DID have Dozer Blades, and just rerolled into another 1).
First thing we house ruled was the deep strike conga line. We do a circle of cohesion rule where you must place a full circle before going outside. Works well in game.
if GW would just let go of the dumb binary structure of turns and allow for more dynamic turns, then they wouldn't need to keep inventing kludgy and easily exploited rules to try and prevent players from using their cool models on turn 1 before they can even activate once but GW keeps just rejecting the idea that 'my army, now your army' is a terrible and outdated way of playing a skirmish game
@@ItWasSaucerShaped I think HH with reactions works well to enable you to be involved in your opponents turn. Had about 30 games and 90-95% have been really fun and close run.
Bloody space wolves, ruining prosepero, now trying to ruin winters beautifully painted Sons of Horus/world eaters. Think you need some Thousand sons support to get rid of them pesky wolves!

Love the batrep, but I really cant stand that ' put all the wounds on the guy with special armour' nonsense. Its painfully cheesy, and should really be against the rules. Lovely batrep though, its great to see bigger Horus Heresy battles.
I don't care what winter play if it old world, sigmar, heresy or 40k I will watch. Ty winter.
I know. I don’t even play heresy and I watch the videos
That terrain set up is absolutely gorgeous, love it.
Cheers dude.
Winters HH batreps aka the crème de la crème of batreps
Hulk Hogan where?

How many points does that get to?
@purplefood1 just like this video, 5k. Even can fit Leman's dogs into it and 3 more characters for each elite squad
5000 points ... a man of culture I see 🙂
5000 points. Ohhh you know I love big battles. I can’t wait for this one.
Thank you so much for your HH batreps!
One of the best Heresy games on the channel! Loved the 5k setup! Please keep it up!whaaaat a game
Awesome terrain today, what a top class scrap! Really enjoyed this one, Heresy is amazing ^ ^
These battle reports show everything which is amazing about heresy
Genuinely one of the most enjoyable battle reports I've ever seen. What a fantastic game!
Great battle man. I'd love to see that one as an animated short, truly epic
Brilliant battle report guys.
Those armies are stunning. Nice to see Leman Russ just doing Wolf stuff. He's terrifying!
Winters: I've had 2.5 beers and wanna say You Da Best ma'dude!
Winter stop rolling so well!!!
Amazing stuff! Thank you!
5000 points?! Winter, you spoil us!
Consistantly the best looking terrain in the hobby. Well done.
Excellent as always
I love big batreps I cannot lie. You other brother can't deny. Winters got batreps!

Yes I need a Techmarine so I can make a Battle smith roll, dreadnought was up there so you could see it on camera but was actually downstairs
Sunday afternoon with Wintes latest video ❤
When winters speaks we listen to
Heresy seems to be a lot more fun rule wise than 10th Ed
Yes every horus heresy ed was better than 40k. Much less made for matched play. More made for narrative

Now THOSE are some "Shadowkeepers" gawd dayum
You can totally consolidate and get back into a transport. It’s juicy. 👍🤘
Class game. Great battle report chaps
When the dreadnought was instant killing the Custodes, did I miss it having +1 S somehow?
Gorgeous table
Great game! Make another huge one in future with Wolfs vs traitors.
What a game!
That deepstrike winters, dirty move 🤣🤣
God damn that sw levi looks menacing
Sooo that turn 1 immobilized dice for the SW land raider was seriously cocked
Where did the custodes heads come from?
This was such a great game
Interceptor reaction on deep strike?
It's just fantastic!
Like and comment to support best wh40k channel as usual)

Spartan without traks on first turn is total lol)
heresy is the best

Great battle report. Cracking board.
That Rampager Artificer Armour tanking all the Volkite is one of the most broken parts of HH 2.0. Needs a nerf.
Wow, bloody, and good.
What happened to your old sons of Horus army?
Good game.
Does make me wish big tanks were more durable and Artificer Armour wasn't as all or nothing
Nice BR 🎉 but i want to see return the Emperors Children to the Battlefield 😎
Since you asked, 40k uses BODMAS, so you multiple then add, so you'd double strength, then add 1.
