Taper with 45 years experience, i switched to aqua bead much cleaner faster and just as strong, plus it takes very little mud to fill it, started using it 12 years ago, i average 100 jobs a year with no problems
Found your channel and this video. I'm searching for information and videos to know if it's possible as part of a renovation to round square wall corners on an existing build. Idea is to put more of a Southwest or Mexico-ish feel with well-rounded wall beads and curved doorways. Sort of like, cut away the existing square corner to the studs and fashion a wide bullnose edge for a well-rounded appearance. But I don't know what supports the contour I'm trying to build with the wide paper tape. Would you build up a mud contour and coverage with a wide paper tape? Thoughts? Maybe a content idea for a future video??
So it is basically new and improved bead box/ hopper thanks for the review on newer lnventions in the industry this dinosaur loses touch with what's out there now
I like the idea of that system with the two buckets! I have the trimtex one and your almost forced to clean it right after, unless you got a tub near by Hahaha. I use paper faced metal beads love them. But when your doing commercial around here they will only buy mostly vynil beads and some metal 🤬. Lol. It's a pain when u have this tool and you can't use it so you have to staple them in 🤦. Takes too many coats to hide the staples. Big waste of time
Sure, the biggest thing I can see being a problem is the thickness of the mud not allowing the bead to lie as flat. But as long as you push it on tight and wipe it should be good!
Hey DShorty, what do you consider as a "taping mud" here in the US? I have not seen box or a bucket saying specifically "taping" on in it yet. I know they have it in Canada and in Australia as well. Maybe I am shopping in wrong stores. 🤣
you folks make great videos, keep them coming.
Good job Katie

Sure! I use USG All Purpose for taping - it's in the green box. Or if you can find it Beadex Taping lite - that one comes in a yellow box.
@@DrywallShorty Thanks a bunch! 👍

You look just like my wife!! Had to look twice to verify you weren't her. Her sisters don't look as close to her as you! Lol
Very good girls

Why would you use your professional mud bucket for a DIY video
