I have a theory so we all see that The Great Rukkhadevata exhausted her powers and turned into a child basically turning to who we now know as Lesser Lord Kusanali. Kusanali calls herself the moon and Rukkhadevata the Sun so i pretty much think that she also got her memories wiped? idk rlly.
Alright for those who don’t know: Greater Lord Rukkadehvata and Lesser Lord Kusanali has the same character, not Body, memories or personality. The greater Lord died and sacrificed herself, but her Dendro element lived on that’s what she was when she died, eventually it reformed as Lesser Lord Kusanali as the new Archon. Think of it as a Steven Universe Gems Reforming, they take new forms, but Genshins one takes a new body and person.
Nahida wouldn’t be suprised because she wasn’t “born”, she IS Rukkhadevata. Like in the backstory, after nahida exhausted her powers, she became a child. It’s literally all given in the backstory about how Rukkhadevata and Kusanali are the same person- 😭 Also, "The moon" is Rukkhadevata/Kusanali and "The sun" is King deshret for those who don't know ☠ For the dumb ppl who don’t know, this comment was made BEFORE the 4th archon act quest. This was before we defeated scaramouche so I wasn’t aware of the fact that nahida didn’t know. Because before, we only got to see Rukkhadevata’s backstory. Don’t reply to this anymore.
i think, nahida has lost those memories so she would be surprised to know.. as she said that she and the older dendro archon are two different people so she doesn’t think of herself as the older dendro archon

I’m surprised amount of people skipped story and saying wrong information about story of dendro archon number one: rukkadevata IS NOT kusanali number two: rukkadevata snipped the purest branch of irsmsul to create kusanali number three: rukkadevata did not become kusanali she become small child due to exhaustion of her strength she eventually and possibly spent the last remaining strength to bring the purest branch to life which is the birth of kusanali(makes sense she is so pure and honest)
