About ACU TML: Is more expensive, but if i am correct, it flyies so high, that tmd in the way will not shoot it down. Only countermeasure is to have tmd where the tml hits. So if your opponent just has tmd f.e. at front, you could snipe t2 and t3 hq and mexes behind?
You are talking about 2nd shield for aeon right ? (the vision + shield one) uef nano is good. I would go for it over T2. and for sera nano + gun, in 1v1 by rushing it super hard i got it at 10:30. Not sure how fast you can get it in teamgame #5455938
Are you drunk Heaven? :D You clearly didn't play enough since the last patch. UEF nano is ridiculously strong in the early game and it can be used (depending on the map) up until +-17min if you have some mobile shielding and flak with it. It's true that in the later stages t2/t3 is better but you can always switch.
SCSoSoul the hp and regen boost is inferior to the hp upgrades of other factions while the ridiculously low difference in build time and cost doesn't make up for this. You pay a t2 mex for 2000hp and a heal rate a single jester can more than negate. If you assume a passive opponent who won't react to it in any way or with a very late t2 upgrade, then of course it's good to have, but against a passive opponent anything is good. UEF nano gun acu loses a 1v1 against its non-cybran peers, and cybran has a lot of snipe options instead. The UEF player is going to hide behind a horde of not overchargeable infinite HP pillars anyways; securing the expansion with PD or having a t2 mex for pillars is a million times better than nano. If you play on maps where you can use a t1 15k hp acu with a parashield in the field at minute 17, please double every number in this chart and they will work for you.
Heaven im gonna make it short since my bed is waiting for me. Believe me, ive played enough 1.4k+ games where i was using nano/gun until over 15 min ingame. And even if that wasnt the case, its usefullness in the early game is much bigger. i just dont know why you say in your tutorial that it shoudnt be used, when almost everyone agrees that its really fucking strong. Also, when max vetted the acu will have 21k hp, which happens more often than you would think.
again the timing of the upgrades is heavily map and context dependent and if you come from a very different meta such as highlevel games where you need to think twice about every little investment or noob games where you can get away with pretty much anything until you're overextending too obviously, you should not take the numbers at face value. i guess whether the uef nano is good is debatable. when i do the next quality upgrade on my videos i'll make sure not to forget about this one. i'll present the uef nano as a somewhat viable option since there are worse ways to spend one's mass for sure. but i'll also mention that i don't personally see the synergy with common UEF gameplay and the upgrade itself is still worse than the HP upgrades of other factions. getting every video 100% right the first time i upload it is an unrealistic idea, and if anything, it is part of the luxury that only people with a lot of free time can afford. right now i'm trying to cover the most relevant topics because there aren't any tutorials about most aspects of the game AT ALL, and when i'm done i can fix the small things that need to be fixed here and there.
I've played on Wonder, having the Nano and Gun Upgrade up until minute 25 or so (my death) I survived a first specter snipe, which was followed by a bunch of units a minute after. were it not for the regen from nano, i would've died as I had very little HP left after the push (
That's probably because this video is old and ACUs have been nerfed quite a lot since then (particularly Aeon as they removed the second shield upgrade)
Ah, you chose minutes as your x-axis, should have used different game stages, this way the timing will fit every map. T1 phase,, late t1 phase, early T2 phase, late T2 phase, early T3 phase, Late T3 phase, Exp phase Some example: Aeon gun RoF is T1 phase Aeon double gun+shield is late T1/early T2 Aeon vision, range gun+ advanced shield is late T2/early T3 UEF gun+nano is late T1/early T2 phase UEF gun+T3 is late T2 phase UEF gun+shield+T3 is T3 phase Cybran Teleport+Lazer+gun/T3 is EXP phase Using this you don't have to worry about specific map timings or meta, just what is happening on the map.
i see how this would be convenient to protect myself against criticism, but i think it's also important to give people a realistic idea of competitive timings at the risk of being map-specific. on the low end of the food chain, there are noobs playing 7+ hour (!) games who think it is totally normal to use maximum no rush setting and even agree upon a no-attack-time beyond that. perhaps i should record a machine complex video for the people who have no idea about time, and keep things separate in this video. i will think about it, but i can't change stuff on a whim with as little recording time as i have right now due to job.

I don't agree with the UEF nano thing. It's super strong right now, and it's not that you can't cast it aside and upgrade directly to T3 later on...
thanks for this. it was an interesting discussion
@Heaven - any major changes on this video since you made it due to shifts in balance or meta...?
Unlike stated in this video, UEF nano is viable. All ACUs have become a bit weaker and land units are more costly to overcharge now.
Heaven thanks. How has the overcharge changed? I think I missed that...
Do Uef players ever use the 2nd Shield upgrade?
no, if you wanna be immortal get UEF SACU with sec shield (it is a bubblen with around 50k HP)
You are talking about 2nd shield for aeon right ? (the vision + shield one)

I think another problem with UEF nano is that the shield basically makes HP regen redundant
this is amasing

From my experience ACUs that think they are Rambo just get air sniped by gunships or strat bombed and they ruin games with it
That's probably because this video is old and ACUs have been nerfed quite a lot since then (particularly Aeon as they removed the second shield upgrade)
@@fiachnaodonnell7895 are you sure about that

T1 phase,, late t1 phase, early T2 phase, late T2 phase, early T3 phase, Late T3 phase, Exp phase

Aeon gun RoF is T1 phase
Aeon double gun+shield is late T1/early T2
Aeon vision, range gun+ advanced shield is late T2/early T3
UEF gun+nano is late T1/early T2 phase
UEF gun+T3 is late T2 phase
UEF gun+shield+T3 is T3 phase
Cybran Teleport+Lazer+gun/T3 is EXP phase
