yes i am in, But i don't know about collaboration with anyone. and i am looking into two types of bug bounty programs from hackerone the OpenSea 3 Million dollar one and Coinbase 1 Million dollar one. But I don't know how to hack their website or how a vulnerability is supposed to be found just from a website that coinbase wants hackers to find. and with OpenSea which is for smart contracts trying to find a vulnerability and stay within scope i just don't understand what i am doing. and i am 24. a lot of the time i just don't know what i am doing or the steps to actually achieve my goal of hacking from a program while remaining in scope and following the rules due to i don't have the proper tools or coding skills or knowledge to find the serious vulnerability that pays 1 million from coinbase.
I'm in no place for any advice as I'm a beginner myself and inexperienced. What you've describes tells me that you lack knowledge of vulnerabilities and very weak in your methodologies. Kindly, learn methodologies of successful hackers and build one that suits you. Going for the really big vulnerabilities as a beginner isn't really the way in my point of view. Instead, start with easier bugs, learn them, find them and go step by step, build a strong foundation. Nobody finds 1/3 million dollar bugs with little knowledge.
@@badxcode ok i will try to find a bug bounty program that can pay me between $5-10K instead of millions to look for bugs. The commenter suggests that focusing on easier bugs and gradually learning and improving is a more effective approach compared to targeting significant vulnerabilities right away. The comment brings up several valid points. Here are some key takeaways from the comment: Knowledge of vulnerabilities: To be successful in ethical hacking and bug bounty programs, it's crucial to have a solid understanding of different types of vulnerabilities and their exploitation techniques. Building this knowledge base is an essential step before attempting more complex challenges. Methodologies of successful hackers: Learning from the methodologies and approaches used by experienced hackers can provide valuable insights into the process of identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities. By studying established methodologies, beginners can gain a better understanding of the techniques and thought processes used by seasoned professionals. Starting with easier bugs: Beginning with simpler bugs allows beginners to practice their skills, gain hands-on experience, and gradually build their confidence and expertise. This step-by-step approach helps develop a strong foundation and prepares individuals to tackle more challenging vulnerabilities in the future. Realistic expectations: The comment highlights the importance of having realistic expectations as a beginner. It's unlikely for someone with limited knowledge and experience to stumble upon high-value bugs worth significant amounts of money right from the start. Understanding that it takes time and effort to reach such levels of expertise can help maintain focus and motivation throughout the learning process. In summary, the commenter advises beginners in ethical hacking and bug bounty programs to prioritize learning methodologies, start with easier bugs, and gradually progress towards more complex vulnerabilities. This approach allows individuals to build a strong foundation and gain practical experience, which are key factors for success in the field.
