This is honestly one of the most wonderful things I've seen in a while. College students living their best lives. No one has more fun than the members of an HBCU band, and NCAT is among the best when it comes to putting on a show. And those dancers...it's hard to imagine young women being more confident in their beauty.
The chant and stand movements got me! 🔥

The 2 drum majors look very good. I guess that we were just more spoiled when there were 5. Good job guys👍🏾

I like the other DMs don't do a whole lot of extra popping and twerking, just synchronized smoothness. Also the dance aren't bussing it wide open. The first, third and last get extra applause from me!

II love the movement that the drum majors are doing. Drum core style mixed with some black ,some old school , and a lil present day. Candidly speaking it’s fly and swaggy AF. However the Drum Majors execution of this movement is a down play. Its safe ,beige and it lacks bite. Most importantly it’s lacking energy . The movement that is suppose to be laid back and chill doesn’t CONTRAST the. Movement With the High stepping and “big” pivots ENOUGH. The energy never moves it’s at a solid 4. It should be dynamic just like good music. Important steps get lost in such a mono-dynamic state. Think Clear eye guy or Richard Simmons. Dynamics would go a long way with these 2. I really respect these 2 men (Idon’t know them) but I respect them and the work they are doing . I’m a huge fan of the organization and watch religiously weekly. I just had to comment cause it has so much potential. Remember if it’s ALWAYS loud then it NEVER loud . Great job and congrats on a great season. I’m open to discuss this further or not . Respectfully understanding how you May receive this . As some might look at this as an overstep .I know its intrusive AF. But it takes a village. And your organization comes across with so much integrity. I figured they may want to hear it.God Bless. -jays.

The band consists of more than the DM, dancers and the percussion section. The whole band needs to be featured. Even though the horns don’t do a lot. They give u a break from the other 3 featured in this video. Too much of a good thing isn’t good. Also the video is too long . After a while u ready to turn it off. When people stand on the side of the road to watch the. They may see about 5 mins of the band. If u r in the right spot to watch them play the little jam as done towards this video. Then that’s the best part. U can feature the whole band jamming out. Just because the video is long doesn’t necessarily make it good. Give the audience what they want and be done

@@tristanrora1960 Man I’m not hating. Everybody in the band get out there and practice. They could be doing other things but they at practice putting in just as much work as the DM and the dancers. But because of the attitude of the person that takes video.. The whole band isn’t featured. They say HBCUS is about family. Is that how y’all treat family?
@@jerrymccleave5052 Shouldn’t I watch the whole video before I give an opinion? I did cheat a little by fast forwarding the video. Attitude is important when doing anything. Especially when being criticized on performance. I grew up around a HBCU band. Every chance I got I would go watch them practice and perform. The percussion section would be jamming and the horn when they weren’t playing would do they own little thing to ad to the marching. That’s what makes the band. Everyone section works until things perfected. So when the person decides to post a video on social media. He/she doesn’t take in account thanksgiving everyone marching has put in work and is deserving of being featured in the video. How would you feel if you put in all the work and you watch the video and you don’t even get a glimpse of your section?
