This is amazing. It's like necrophagist, obscura, beyond creation, and Paul Gilbert all in one song. Such a diverse amount of techniques in this song too. Sweeping, two finger tapping, even some hybrid picking. You are a master of the guitar sir.
Thanks for the playthrough. This whole album is already a treasured piece of music in my collection. Right up there with Josh Middleton and Angel Vivaldi.
God DAMN, Denis! This has become one of my favorite guitar videos to watch, ever...I'm here at least once a week, in awe. Dude, that fucking solo @ 4:33 combines melody, technicality and "hookyness" so perfectly, IMHO. It's probably not hard for you to play compared to some of your newer stuff, but I never get tired of hearing it! Great job, bro!!!
Woah... listen to the solos in Hannes grossmann's solo records and the alkaloid crew. Those are now the leading dudes in tech prog Danny is a very underrated guitar player and Morean just basically mastered writing music. He is flippen writing orchestras and preforming them often.
Travis Hunt TH-cam PhD Yeah well Chris had focal dystonia, which is why he developed that tapping at all. Now others use it, but I’ve never seen someone else do it like that before (Michael Romeo, Chris Broderick, etc didn’t do it the way he did). And he still continued to be able to play at this level.
Super great!! Loved the sweet picking fingertap pitch bends. DUDE!! I love how it remind me of old Black metal classics with a super tight performance!!
It's so rare nowadays to see a virtuoso so deeply concerned with music structure, cohesion and melodic progression through leit motifs. I can't think of anyone else playing at this technical level who is also as creative and expressive, except for maybe Guthrie Govan. This is to me the proof that technical proficiency does have the possibility of adventuring into new worlds of expression, but also since it's so evident that almost no one else does it like this, it's also proof that it's really rare for artistic genius and technical proficiency to meet at equal grades.
that's what i've been thinking. the melodies on this song and "ancient gods genesis" are absolutely incredible, as well as the ways in which they're reused and altered. denis is awesome! :D I wish I could write as well as him lol
you done synthesized the shit out of that matter, bro. seriously though - brilliant songwritting, not to mention the technique. been listening to 'perfect world creation' for a couple of days now, I can't stop. great job
Name 1 thing this guy could learn about his guitar he is probably the best level I have seen super human I bet like a freak of nature the hell with my guitar I hate itnow
also bucketheads cool. got to start working on 2 hand tapping and do you have a tab for that part. would like to know the note shape you based that arpeggio on.
Just go buy a guitar and go for it. I've been playing more than 40 years, and I just can't do this kind of stuff. Kids are amazing today, not to mention how you can just go to TH-cam and watch and learn how stuff is played. I'm "pre-Van Halen" era, so the way I learned is so different. BTW, what's the tuning that these guys use?
Dave Lanciani while you may argue it is easier for more kids around the world to learn guitar, the effort is the same. Also, at certain point, youtube videos become useless. If you ´ve been playing 40+ years and can´t do this stuff is just because you never had real interest in doing so in the first place. My point is let´s not take credit away for current master players ("oh, now is easy, anybody can play like that with youtube").
It's very true. I have been playing 15 years and hit a plateau that I think a lot of people encounter. It takes dedication and a lot of productive practice ( < very important) to go beyond that. You have to really want it. Or be so driven by expression that achieving it is not a decision but a natural step in your life.
I tracked bass for his solo project. He's a great musician.
InsaneDeathMachine dude you are a great musician yourself, your playthroughs are fucking inhuman.
tbh i didnt need this comment to notice it
What's your bass setup like?
Excellent my dude
wow, that's awesome
I've found myself shouting " what! " so many times listening to this band.
Insanely talented as fuck!
This is amazing. It's like necrophagist, obscura, beyond creation, and Paul Gilbert all in one song. Such a diverse amount of techniques in this song too. Sweeping, two finger tapping, even some hybrid picking. You are a master of the guitar sir.
Brittany Branton I can’t unsee the Paul Gilbert reference now. For sure.
And he somewhat looks like young Muhammad Suičmez and his picking style is also kinda similar.
I have to say with the finger stretches and all the perfect chords this is the most talented shit I have ever heard🤘
The style is so inventive for being so technical. The death metal equivalent of Guthrie Govan
This was mind-blowingly good! Sounds like a cross between Necrophagist and Wintersun at times.
Incredible. I haven't been this blown away since first listening to Necrophagist or Obscura. Technical and musical!
Thanks for the playthrough. This whole album is already a treasured piece of music in my collection. Right up there with Josh Middleton and Angel Vivaldi.
Josh Middleton probably put out the sickest guitar solo album I've ever heard at least lmao
so beautiful!
This guy is crazy good, Artisan era always delivers

Been practicing "technical difficulties" in mom's basement I see.
That was a compliment.

I'm still not sure how many times I will watch this video. But definitely not just once!
Big Christian Muezner fan I see lol
Yeah I saw a lot of what Christian would do during the solos. Tapping was great.
Woah... listen to the solos in Hannes grossmann's solo records and the alkaloid crew. Those are now the leading dudes in tech prog

Excellent guitar tone. I’m curious about what you used to record this? Not to mention the fact the album rips.

My right hand is in pain just from watching this
Does anyone know if it is possible to find tabs for this song somewhere? Especially tapping parts
Ah, I wish I had the time to learn an instrument...
Learning is one thing and mastering is an art. You are held down only by your self doubt and personal drive.
The Artisan Era good shit as always! Do you think you can give us a teaser date of when the new Inferi album is going to drop :)
Just go buy a guitar and go for it. I've been playing more than 40 years, and I just can't do this kind of stuff.
