@Snt1_ Probably Phoebe Thunderman, kinda sucks that nick all star brawl doesn't have any live action nick rep (Maybe have Carly, Alex Mack or Artie The Strongest Man In the World)
I agree Henry Danger is a way better show than Game Shakers. Also you forgot to mention that it’s the longest running Dan Schneider show in Nickelodeon history with over 121 episodes beating iCarly’s 97 episode run, also I think this is the closest Nickelodeon got to having their own Wizards of Waverly Place with the story arcs, more serious moments that no Nickelodeon sitcom had up to that point, and the drama of Henry keeping his superhero secret and one by one over the shows run find out about it. The show was even supposed to have a theatrical film which would’ve been the first Nickelodeon sitcom/Dan Schneider show to get a theatrical movie since Good Burger back in 1997 but nothing really came out of it. I gotta say from the guy with a foot fetish, and one of the story writers of the live action Inspector Gadget movie it could’ve been a lot worse.
The film is supposedly still in the works. Jace Norman just signed some kind of deal with Nickelodeon to help develop programming for them, and one of the things that came up was a Henry Danger movie.
@@MattCMG Oh I haven’t heard anything about the movie since 2017 since former Nickelodeon President Cyma Zarghami who announced it left and Dan Schneider who of course left in 2018, but I would see if they changed it from a Henry Danger movie to a Danger Force movie or maybe even an Avengers style crossover movie with both shows. But if it did happen I don’t think it would be in theaters most likely it would be on Paramount+ as Nickelodeon is now releasing new movies on the service like what they did with The J Team.
Henry Danger technically has 128 episodes separating its 2 and 3 parters ☺️☺️ enjoyed the show overall even though I only watched the first two and a half seasons when they were airing and stopped watching after that but caught up later on.
@@coolboss999If I remember this correctly, Nathan Kress was more involved with the creation of Henry Danger and it’s episodes then Dan (I’m obsessed with Feet) Schnider.
Thank you for talking about the completely of Team Danger! I actually really enjoyed their interactions as they grew older like Jasper's love for his friends, Charlotte as a whole, Henry's arcs and development, they really just struck as a big ol' family
I'm SO glad you mentioned the character Gooch, It feels like no one ever talks about him. Cuz even as a kid/young teen I always thought "Wait, what the hell happened to this character? He just disappered all of a suddon and got replaced by Schwoz." Not complaining but still, what happened to this character and where is he now in this fictional world? I need answers
"Trent Overunder" can be seen as a play on words related to sexual positions, with "overunder" hinting at different angles or positions during intimate encounters. "Mary Gaperman" could be interpreted as a combination of "gape" (a term sometimes used in a sexual context to refer to open or wide) and "man," suggesting a person associated with wide openings or sexual openness.
Something that always annoyed me about Henry danger was the ending to the episode love muffin. The episode ended with the cliffhanger of the villain Gwen escaping the heroes and knowing Captain Man and kid dangers secret identities. The problem is that Gwen never comes back throughout the entire series so it’s just a massive loose thread that is never acknowledged
i watched henry danger, game shakers, thundermans, etc in that ''i don't wanna watch kiddy cartoons anymore i wanna watch real shit" phase since it was what was on at the time and honestly i have a lot of memories of episodes of henry danger while the only thing i remember with game shakers is how it was the first time i felt uncomfortable watching a show with a scene where that weird kid peels an orange with his feet
Well it piss me off that he was acting like a child most of the time in some episodes even Henry was more serious then him and i used to think that it was writers faul like "oh noo Captain Man can't be to op in this scene let's make that he will lose or get caught we need to made this funny " and yes probably it was mostly like that but tbh the show explain that perfect the reason why Ray is acting like a child it's because technicaly he is still a child remember he was taken away and training to be a superhero when he was 8 so he doesn't have that much of a time to understand adults and become one what he understand is how to be a hero so that's why Henry is more serious then Ray cause unless like Ray Henry Has a lot of time ( even after he become Kid Danger ) to learn responsibility and just grow up so congratulations for the writers they really explain that perfect ( well they didn't confrim this but i think it's very possibile theory ) and btw there is a Henry Danger movie coming out only on Paramount+ in 2025
I was told Kel Mitchell was friends with Snopp Dogg and reached out to him and asked to do the show. But some say Dan Schneider was the one to reach out. But they all said they were huge fans of Snopp Dogg.
When I used to watch Henry Danger, I initially thought of it as a dumb show with some idiot plots. But watching your video on them made me reconsider it a little bit as I haven’t watched the whole series yet.
I agree with everything in this video! Personally I feel like the biggest problem with game shakers is like you mentioned. the yelling and its not just that, you can barley find any humorous things in game shakers, they are always doing the weirdest things and never can be normal. I get its a comedy show but with Henry danger it was more realistic and they weren’t doing weird things every few seconds!
Henry Danger is a classic example of where the show may start off iffy but as the actors age and grow into the roles the show starts getting good. Cooper Barnes absolutely carries the show especially through the first 2 season as well as basically carried that terrible Danger force show but when the other actors grew into the roles it really took off.
I hate how some of the game shakers episodes make no sense, like the nasty goats one, the gang went all out to force a kid to delete there leaked game, BUT WHY?? he’s not revealing anything if you plan to release it the very next week I don’t get it. Why go after him for something if your gonna do the same thing
i remember when henry danger came out i was about 9 or 10 and around season 3 i was so invested in it i wrote a whole 10 ish page fanfic in my SCHOOL notebook. i still have the notebook today and it haunts me.
Honestly one of the worst parts about game shakers for me is that almost all the main characters are full on criminals, they’ve done so much illegal shit yet they never get punished for it, idk if they’d supposed to be funny and I’m just too uptight to realize it but personally? I don’t think it’s funny
Breaking the law is hilarious. By this logic, Seinfeld or Always Sunny would be the least funny shows ever since they break the law every single episode.
As a fan of Game Shakers, I agree that the show isn't perfect. Double G can be unlikable but still funny at times. He was at his funniest in the Clam Jumper duology, which in fact was my favorite episodes of the show. Henry Danger was more successful and I can see that.
To be fair they should at least written Hudson to be smart and silly guy who always there with his friend instead of making him goofball and stupid all of sudden
Ehh.. I wouldn’t even bother with Danger Force. The only cool thing it has going for it is the actor who played Henry is the producer on it. The best way for me to describe it is, take everything good in Henry Danger.... and burn it. Did you like Ray and Henry’s back and forth? Well too bad, Henry’s only in like 2 episodes, he’s been replaced by a bunch of hyperactive kids that all have half his appeal as a character. Did you like how Schwaz and Ray actually seemed like old friends? Well too bad now Schwaz is just a victim of Ray’s shameless abuse. Did you like seeing Ray actually enjoy being a hero and be responsible from time to time? Well too bad, now he’s not only a man child, but he’s constantly complaining about having to be a hero instead of doing what he wants to the point where you question why he’s even doing it anymore. I mean Henry, Charlotte, and Jasper are basically heroes in their own right at this point and the kids he’s currently mentoring can hold their own. He could step down if he wanted to. But I guess he’d rather just complain endlessly about his job. I will give it this though, there is this kinda dark implication that since the public believes Kid Danger's dead Ray is forced to act like a grieving mentor still mourning over the lose of his sidekick when he's brought up. There was one scene where it came into play and just they way the actor pulled off the mood whiplash made me forget I was watching a comedy for a moment.
This is why I don’t like Season 5 like a lot of people do. It loses sight of what made the characters good in the first place and just turn them into cartoon characters.
I didn't notice Ray’s deteriorating character in season 5 until I started Danger Force and then rewatched Henry Danger again. I really hate how one dimensional they made him, as one of my favorite parts of Henry Danger is Ray’s almost brotherly/paternal role to Henry. Season 5 flips that though, as Henry basically has to treat Ray like a toddler. Also, unrelated, I really hate Chapa. She’s so annoying and she and Ray enable each other all the time.
I was in the age demographic for both of these shows from when they came out and ended, which was when I started my teen years and grew out of cable tv all together, and i gotta say. Even if I loved these two when I was a child, Henry Danger has always significantly stuck out to me (considering I watched every episode, had every episode of it recorded, and even made time to tune in to the live premieres of every special they had) and I still love watching some of the episodes to this day. Henry Danger will always be in my heart.
I liked Game Shakers! I originally didn’t but I actually sat down and watched it. It’s entertaining. The concept wasn’t the best but it’s enjoyable. They really tried to push it with all the crossovers and cameos.
For those who don’t get the reference at 0:08, basically the “hmm” thing was when charlotte and piper told Henry about how he wasn’t graduating from high school, and then Henry’s response to that was “hmm”
As a 27 year old, I don't think live action kids shows get as much attention as animated kids shows. Especially the modern ones. While there are several twenty somethings making reviews or theory videos on Amphibia or The Owl House, and I love those shows, I've rarely met anyone in my age range that has even heard of or admit they like the shows I've watched and if they do admit to watching it, they'll say they hate it by only watching one or two episodes, like The Astronauts, Drama Club, Sydney to the Max, The Barbarian and the Troll, I Am Frankie, Ultra Violet and Black Scorpion, Side Hustle, Warped!, Secrets of Sulphur Springs, Best. Worst. Weekend. Ever, Theodosia, The Bureau of Magical Things, Hunter Street and The Villains of Valley View. In fact, if they're gonna pay this much attention to animated kids shows, they may as well give as much attention to some LIVE ACTION KIDS SHOWS. And I haven't read the books and only saw the first movie, but I'm excited about Percy Jackson and the Olympians as they just started filming. Maybe then, older audiences will stop shitting on live action kids shows. Edit: obviously, I skipped out on Game Shakers but it's nice to know it improved at all. And I'll check Henry Danger out eventually. Edit: just wondering, cuz you didn't explicitly mention it, when did Henry Danger officially become good? Also, Madisyn Shipman's a Playboy model now.😋😜
henry danger found its footing in season three and then is really good throughout seasons four and five. personally, my favorite on my second rewatch of the show was season three, but general consensus among fans is that season five is the best. i hope you enjoy this goofy show 😭
Out of the live-action nickelodeon shows you listed, the ones I've watched and really liked were Drama Club, Side Hustle, Warped, I Am Frankie, and The Bureau of Magical Things.
I love Henry Danger when I was 12 and 5 years later, I am still in love. There are things that I want to change, but I really laughed at the jokes. I swear this show would slap hard if they weren't limited by a 7+ audience and by Dan's type of humor. Also, I just stumbled across your channel, so I wonder if you made a review of Knight Squad. I really like the show and out of all Nick sitcoms, it feels so different. In a good way. The premise is so good and I wish it had more seasons.
I liked Henry Danger but they never felt like heroes to me. Captain Man’s power is that he can’t be destroyed so he can’t be hurt truly. It seems like a way to keep things very safe. Henry has no power. They give him fast reflexes and then a shield. I just sort of lost interest in the show.
I grew up with both of these shows airing. I remember someone in my family saying that they hated game shakers because all they ever did was scream a lot. But Henry Danger had interesting plots that they could actually tolerate. In the end I watched every episode of Henry danger when it first aired from the pilot to the finale. Game shakers kinda just faded with the background of my life. I don’t remember anything from it except for 2 scenes, but I remember a ton of Henry Danger
Diary of a Wimpy kid Long haul vs the first three movies perfectly represents this. In LH, greg was obsessed with some let’s play youtuber, which had already died down by the time of its release. Whereas the first three movies were more focused middles school and family from a perspective of a teen which are universal experiences. There’s also of course the fact that all characters had their good moments and their bad yet comedic antics. Whereas in long haul, everyone is just an awkward person in an awkward and outlandish situation.
Man, I loved Henry Danger. It's such satire and absolute ridiculousness. I'm also a huge sucker for heart-of-gold, willing to sacrifice themselves for others type of characters. He was also a kid who had to deal with such decisions, like another show I love, Sofia The First. Can say though the last few seasons of when Henry is older, the writing of Ray being attracted to him "jokingly" is so weird. Like Henry appears in Danger Force for the first time, Ray is drooling over him and idolizes him of sorts. And like this dude has known Henry since he was a child. But I guess the joke is that Jace glowed up.
I was grown and learned about Henry Danger from the kids I was working with. I started watching on my own because it was that good. Another show that I liked (underrated) was Lab Rats.
Henry danger always made me laugh, it was genuinely my favorite show, but it felt like they were stretching it (specially with the game shakers collabs, I could feel the writing was different) Game shakers on the other hand was the worst thing to me, babe was so generic and "flawless" it felt boring, Kenzie was all the flaws and no improvement whatsoever, hudson was just weird, not funny weird, just weird, triple G was the only character I actually liked, all the shouting in the show made me have headaches, that random romance between henry and babe was my last straw, I HATED the show as a kid lmao
I loved Henry Danger when it was airing and I didn’t know a single person who liked it. Thank you for the validation! I stopped watching around season 4 because I was in high school by that point and had too much going on, but this video almost has me wanting to go back and finish it. And Game Shakers, I only saw a handful of episodes, just randomly, and I never laughed at a single joke
Me and my grandma used to watch Henry Danger all the time when I was younger. She used to really like Jace Norman too, not in that way... at least I think.
This video gave me major nostalgia value bro. Saw them both as a kid, but never got to finish either, I think the most recent Henry Danger ep. I saw was the musical one. Good video!
Game Shakers seeing that name unlocked some nostalgia, I actually did enjoy watching that as a kid and I loved shows that gave me something to look forward to every episode like whatever game they'd come up, and their interaction to my kiddy brain was funny, the only thing that really didnt sit right with me was Hudson being wayy too dumb
I loved the first 1-3 seasons of Henry danger. They felt less like filler episodes than the later ones, a lot of the 2019 episodes felt like fillers, but they still were good and well made. But do you want to know my favorite part of older Henry danger episodes? Side plots. I love side plots in Henry Danger so much. An example, in an episode called “Invisible Brad” the main plot is that a guy who got turned invisible wants to be Captain Man’s sidekick, but he can only become his sidekick if kid danger quits. Invisible brad does embarrassing things or even tries to injure Henry get him to quit his job. The side plot? Piper trying to sell a toy house with Jasper so Piper can get a *yopro*? camera. Nearly all side plots always have a solution, most unpredictable which I like, so you get satisfied from both plots. Side plots were there for a pretty obvious reason, all the characters needed to be in the episode in some way, and I think side plots are a great solution to that, if nothing else ever works. But as the season went on, more people started to know about Henry’s secret, so they stopped appearing. I’m not mad at all from character development but it’s sad to see side plots go. Also side plots and the main plot interfering with each other in some way is always a treat. Also istg some side plots are better then the actual plot…
nah snoop is perfect for a kids show until the kid searches him up... his personality is soo perfect for cameos tho... even in pitch perfect(which ik target audiance is different) he provides perfect comedic effect without being a punchline
i loved Henry Danger since it first aired. i dont wanna go in depth of why i fell in love with the show but long story short: it had actually good comedy, good story and world building (most of the time) and actual emotional moments that would drive development and plot points that made sense
Honestly the thing I found weird is that before I saw Henry Danger the Nick relationship for Henry and Charlotte being a couple and yet when I watched it saw that it never happened was like wow that’s dumb and hoping that some of his older love interest came back like Chloe, Bianca, or the Watch Dog girl sadly they didn’t but yeah Bae being played by Cree Cicchino was fine
Henry Danger, Game Shakers, Thundermans, those were my childhood Nick shows. I weirdly have more nostalgia for the live action shows than the cartoons. Anyone remember Knight Squad or Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn? I stumbled upon the latter and watched it sometimes, but I was there when Knight Squad premiered. There were also some other live action shows that I either forgot the names of or were on the Disney channel

I believe that Dan didn't really have much say over the show. He did create the premise but overall he wasn't really apart of the writing process. 😊

Ah, like Fifty Shades of Grey.
Especially the last episodes
Henry Danger is a perfect parody to superhero sidekicks, as a huge Robin fan, and knowing how makes it so much more fun to watch
I need answers
gotta love my man Schwoz though 😂

Sometimes I forget that character even exists.

Yeah, but they're unless characters because they only exist to interrupt stuff, and it gets on my nerves quickly.

Dan Schneider's fuckin weird
Something that always annoyed me about Henry danger was the ending to the episode love muffin. The episode ended with the cliffhanger of the villain Gwen escaping the heroes and knowing Captain Man and kid dangers secret identities. The problem is that Gwen never comes back throughout the entire series so it’s just a massive loose thread that is never acknowledged
BRO I LOVE HENRY DANGER!
Such a comfort show
I literally also had the biggest crush in Jace and still do 😭
ME TOO im crying i was obsessed with him 😭😭😭
i watched henry danger, game shakers, thundermans, etc in that ''i don't wanna watch kiddy cartoons anymore i wanna watch real shit" phase since it was what was on at the time and honestly i have a lot of memories of episodes of henry danger while the only thing i remember with game shakers is how it was the first time i felt uncomfortable watching a show with a scene where that weird kid peels an orange with his feet
I have watched more of Game Shakers than Harry Danger
Captain man was such well written character

When I used to watch Henry Danger, I initially thought of it as a dumb show with some idiot plots. But watching your video on them made me reconsider it a little bit as I haven’t watched the whole series yet.
I remember ray being obsessed with Henry’s mom so well omg
Tbh the reason why I watched danger force is because of Cooper Barnes and the actor for Schwoz
Pretty sure the games aren’t free so you have to buy them before playing, so the kid is basically stealing all their money they could’ve made.
@@explosion6768while that is true, the kids still would’ve made money from ppl playing their game

i remember when henry danger came out i was about 9 or 10 and around season 3 i was so invested in it i wrote a whole 10 ish page fanfic in my SCHOOL notebook. i still have the notebook today and it haunts me.
I remember tuning into Game Shakers just to listen to the intro then immediately switching to something else when I was younger 😭
As a fan of Game Shakers, I agree that the show isn't perfect. Double G can be unlikable but still funny at times. He was at his funniest in the Clam Jumper duology, which in fact was my favorite episodes of the show. Henry Danger was more successful and I can see that.

Agreed. I even enjoy it way more than Sam & Cat.
Henry Danger was a big part of my childhood and I also frequently watched game shakers and I actually really liked it
I liked Game Shakers! I originally didn’t but I actually sat down and watched it. It’s entertaining. The concept wasn’t the best but it’s enjoyable. They really tried to push it with all the crossovers and cameos.
Idk it was trying to be a wannabe Icarly but with games
running gags are certainly necessary for a kids show i quote “my leg” from spongebob even as an adult now😂
I've never seen Henry Danger or Game Shakers since I stopped watching Live TV especially on Nickelodeon since 2015.
Also, Madisyn Shipman's a Playboy model now.😋😜
I think side hustle was good and i watched the first episode of drama club ir was alright
Henry Danger’s peak was Season 3
henry danger found its footing in season three and then is really good throughout seasons four and five. personally, my favorite on my second rewatch of the show was season three, but general consensus among fans is that season five is the best. i hope you enjoy this goofy show 😭
I am Frankie is so underrated, you're the only person I've seen mention it.

Henry Danger is so good man. Season 5 is the best.
OMG I LOVE THE REFERENCE FROM HENRY DANGER WHERE WHEN THEY SAY "hmm?" AND THEN THE CHARACTER REPEATS WHAT THEY JUST SAID IS AWESOME
Extremely high quality content on a small channel??????????? you my friend are underrated

you really forgot the running gag in henry danger when a character says hm? and they repeat themselves for no reason
I think it was the point that it was less a superhero show and more like a buddy workplace show where they happen to be superheroes
there are episodes where captain man looses his indestructibility. also, the stakes are raised in other ways.
Henry Danger is my comfort show, and im very happy i find video essays about it🥰🥰🥰
I grew up with both of these shows airing.
I’m shocked to find out how hated game shakers is it was actually my favorite nick show ☠️

I know they probably didn't even give game shakers a chance it's a good show
I loved that show in middle school

The way they were both made at the same time with vastly different quality reminds me of how dreamworks made shrek 2 and sharktale in the same year
As someone who grew up with Henry Danger, I loved it and still do to this day.

lab rats was so good. 2014 live action kids show were peak for me
Henry danger always made me laugh, it was genuinely my favorite show, but it felt like they were stretching it (specially with the game shakers collabs, I could feel the writing was different)
Game shakers on the other hand was the worst thing to me, babe was so generic and "flawless" it felt boring, Kenzie was all the flaws and no improvement whatsoever, hudson was just weird, not funny weird, just weird, triple G was the only character I actually liked, all the shouting in the show made me have headaches, that random romance between henry and babe was my last straw, I HATED the show as a kid lmao

Is no one gonna talk about when he just started spitting bars at the end???
