This is close to the pre-WWII Czech Philharmonic sound - warm, dark with wonderful winds and brass given more prominence than after Neumann and Dorati.

Wunderschöne Interpretation dieser ein bisschen ethnisch komponierten und fein arrangierten Suite mit farbanreichen doch perfekt synchronisierten Tönen aller Instrumente. Der unvergleichliche Dirigent leitet das ausgezeichnete Orchester im gut phrasierten Tempo und mit völlig effektiver Dynamik. Die Tonqualität ist auch ziemlich hoch als eine Aufnahme von mehr als fünfundsechzig Jahre vor in Prag. Alles ist bewundernswert!
