I mean, regardless of if she thinks he understood her or not, it's common to respond when someone says something to you, so I don't think Alya would've thought much of it.
Bruh, it's a normal reaction bruh, like if someone suddenly says something in another language like if you don't know it, you would look at the one who said that
Ironically for a show about a girl speaking Russian, I don’t think I’ve felt the Japanese embarrassment at calling someone by their first name as much as this.
God this scene was so cute❤ i literally cannot wait till season 2 comes. Please give it a good ending. Not like the other good shows that did not make a new season.
Translation seems to be off. She says "не падай духом" (don't give up/keep your spirits up), maybe the japanese subtitles had ambiguity that was lost in the english version?
Nope. The japanese subtitle says 前を向いて (mae wo muite) "mae" means forward, "wo" indicates it's the direct object and "muite" is the te-form of the verb "muku", which means to turn toward/to face/to look/to point/etc It means exactly "face forward"
@@justcommenting5117 I can't say for sure, but on some sites the phrase "前を向いて" is said to mean "look forward instead of backwards/look to the future". I'm inclined to believe "前を向いて" is a common expression which lost its literal meaning in russian translation and its actual meaning in the english dub.
They just translated it correctly. The problem is that this phrase was supposed to be some kind of response to his support in Russian (Masachika had to say the phrase: "Don't hang your nose" during Ali's speech, which is similar in meaning to what Alya said at the end). This is the first one. Second. We see Masichika's surprise from ordinary Russian, there are not even compliments/flirtations, but didn't she speak the same language in front of him? He was surprised that among all the people she heard and understood from whom these words were, even though Kuze spoke little Russian. Unfortunately, it was not filmed in the same way as in the novel. Sorry for bad english

No! This is War how can this be better then masterpiece of horimiya? First brother complex and a little kind of harem cause 3-4 Female characters potential enough to be ml lover and just romance no life morals a little slow progression and no character development til yet but on the other hand horimiya, life morals value of friendship fun, comedic, a little motivating and characters developments no drama just perfect storyline at last just one male lead and female lead no second! Pure love and Innocence and confessing after realizing feelings And I don't hate alya hides her feelings in Russian it's just like it's a timepass fun comedic anime And horimiya the absolute masterpiece I don't need to say anymore just you shouldn't compare top notch romance anime with new one's those story hasn't even progressed yet!

I think they meant when she asked him to face forward.
She said "Don't let your spirit fall" if translated directly or "keep you spirit up" the subs are wrong

Where does he respond in russian
He turns his head towards her (as a response to her asking for him to face her).
To be fair, most people would had done the same even if they hadn't understood simply out of curiosity,
Yeah, you right. Can't wait for season 2
