    Next time, You can use a brush deep it in some water, and go around the edges. That's the way to avoid this problem.
    2 try put the sugar in one level, as flat as you can, in a bigger pot

      Thanks for the tip :) Just wasn't enough heat on the sides due to the small burner. I had much better results the second time around, when I used the same pan on the bigger stove burner.

    Looks like what we call in the south Steam syrup… love it

    My baker-teachers called this "caramel coloring." We used it for brown bread and other foods.

    I don't think this is corvina ware, but Pyrex. Either way, I strongly recommend a deeper pot to limit risk of burns.

      It's part of my original corning ware set and it's still going strong after 21 years! I agree... if you have one, a deeper pot probably would be safer.👍

    I have never seen a glass pan before... Isn't it scarry to use..?

      Not all. It is part of a Corning Ware set of glass pots/pan. Love them.. they hold heat very well and therefore cook faster, and they don't have residue like the interior of some other pots. (Unfortunately in my video I should have used a bigger stove burner so that the sides would be hot enough as well).

      @@MocasWorld what if you drop it... Would it shatter? Lol.. Just curious.

      @@Srinjoymusiclover LOL As it is glass it would probably break/chip, but it's thick/heavy glass. It's microwaveable and can go in the oven as well... like pyrex. I've had it for about 17 years or more! I don't think Corning ware makes that set anymore.

      Was a tiny bit thin, but it worked well!

    I try to make burn too but I did want it to b more thick but it's OK 👍 👌 🙆‍♀️ 😌

      Add a little less water if you want it thicker. I did get a store bought bottle when i went on vacation, and noticed it was almost as thin as what I made.

    What the taste like ? Is it bitter?

    • @MocasWorld
      @MocasWorld  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Slightly burnt/bitter, but as it is meant to be used in other recipes, that taste will be masked. Of course the more browning you use, the darker and the more you may taste the browning flavor.

    Can you tell what can we make from burnt sugar

    • @MocasWorld
      @MocasWorld  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mainly used to add darker color to baked goods and even sauces and gravy. It is like molasses, but a little darker and more bitter. We call it "Browning" in the Caribbean.

      Good call 👍... but I used the bigger stove burner the second time I made it, and it worked much better to heat the sides of my glass pan.

    Corningware is a bad choice for this

    • @MocasWorld
      @MocasWorld  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've used it several times since, and it worked fine on a larger stove burner.
