** What's with the necklaces?
Rex is a whiskey mooch. His necklace is a manifestation of pure glory - forged from the irradiated bones of eagles and wolves. Also a tube sock.

Daniel is a whiskey sommelier. His necklace is a token of his sommelier level, and he trains whiskey sommeliers at The Whisk(e)y Marketing School in Austin Texas.
**A Whisk(e)y school?
Yup. Here are a few things we believe.
** You don’t have to be a snob to appreciate and love great whiskey.
Whisky and Whiskey (it depends on where it’s from) have been an important part of cultures around the world from time immemorial. Whiskey is a part of the very fabric of Western society, and in most places, is as common and accessible as beer.
Like Jazz and wine, snobs have predictably hijacked whiskey appreciation, spoiling our natural, common connection with it and creating a false dichotomy of “good whiskey” and “bad whiskey.”
It’s time to break through the emotional bias with facts and science. That’s what this school is about.
** The only valid definition of “good” whiskey is “whiskey you like to drink.”
Learning how to share your love of whiskey in a way that connects people to the history and the story has more to do with public speaking and storytelling than it does with facts and tests.
The best way to learn about whiskey and share that love is to drink whiskey and talk about it with friends. Study the history, find the stories, and discover the culture and the methods that have been developed over hundreds of years. That’s what you’ll do when you attend The Whisk(e)y Marketing School.
** You don’t need a marketing degree to learn how to share your love of whiskey with the world.
There's an old saying, "In business, it's not what you know... It's who you know."
Regardless the industry you're in, most people are clumsy and ineffective when it comes to "networking" because they ignore a very important rule - Relationship First, Business Second.

I have been waiting for this video ever since your blind Talisker 10 Advent Calendar review, and you said "its either Talisker 10 or Arran 10" and since I love Talisker, it made me intrigued about Arran. Now that I've watched this video, I feel the need to need to watch an actual review of Arran 10. But, at least I know more about Rex's wardrobe.

Just tried this based off your review and an employee friend at Spec’s in San Antonio. It’s really good. I’m starting to get into Scotch more, especially now all my bourbons are becoming allocated. *eye roll. I’m enjoying this journey into Scotch a great deal.

Arran 10 is a great value bottle! My favorite hot summer day dram. I think people need to explore more arran. 10 and 18 being my favourite

Arron 10 is one of my repeat bottles....without a question an auto repurchase, not unlike the Ledaig 10 for the same reason.....There are bottles that you become so at home with...you taste them before you even pour!
I think Rex totally said "whiskey" not something that could be linked to the Weddel gift package(s). But the look on Daniel's face is freeking priceless.
Just order my first bottle of Arran 10... hmmmm... looking forward to it. Oh, I also ordered a 1l bottle of the Glenfarclas 12 (and my Aberlour 12 NCF refil arrives today).

Hi guys, I can with high confidence say that ive watched all your vidoes. Its becoming my favourit channel on youtube (and not only due to whiskey). Anyway, im just got started with smokey scotch whiskeys. And recently ive mooched Ardmore Standard 46% 1L (duty free version). And although its not an Islay whiskey - it had so much peat qnd smoke on the taste (or maybe it was the highier proof??). On the smell it was all funky smooky cheese with bacon. Is this what i should expect from smokey scotch? It was hard to drink at first but then i fell in love with it

Hey guys, I am really missing from you some Chivas Regal reviews, it is one of the most worldwide famous blended Scotch whisky brands, but I find you have never made a single one of those. Although I have never tried their fancier stuff I have always regarded them as one of the most respectable and successful brands out there (or at least they really achive to market it). Cheers!

Just bought a bottle of Arran 10 and im enjoying it.But why does it smell and taste of honey?Do they put honey in it or is it a natural occurance after 10 tears in the barrel?.Anyone know? Its very sweet.

The arran 10 became my favorite whiskey as soon as I got the taste of hazelnuts and coconut, problem is you can’t buy it in Sweden any more..

Does anyone remember episode in which Daniel told a story about a distiller who didn't give a shit. He walked into restaurants ordering his own spirit and got mad because they didn't have it. Same for some high end hotel chain. I really want to know which whisky is. It also became the whisky of some goverments entity I believe.

What would you recommend to move to if I enjoyed black bottle and buffalo trace?
I have never tried Black Bottle. For bourbons, I would recommend Elijah Craig Small Batch, which is a similar price point in my area. For a little more money, I always recommend Four Roses Small Batch and Four Roses Single Barrel.
