Thank you for coaching me through my first injection! This little needle is much less painful than Humira.

I'm getting my nerve up to self-inject my Stalera, and I'm watching everything I can to help me do this!

@@joenail3962 If you've taken Humira before, Stelara is really a piece of cake! I just inject in my stomach (be sure to eat a few extra cookies so you have enough to pinch), and it's really nothing, thank God. Humira was crazy painful, and was starting to get really traumatic, and I don't consider myself a wimp about this sort of thing.

@@emilypaxton5601 ... I was on Humira, but I was using the pen, and not the bare needle.. and talking with you has eased my mind considerably! I was going to try my belly, because I have a good view! But I didn't understand pushing the needle slowly, and at the end push hard on the plunger until it snaps, then withdraw the needle.. I should just dig in, because i know it will help me! Thank you my Friend, just talking has made me more confident, and I needed that big time! Your good people Emily! Thank you....

I am happy to work on the study of this drug tomorrow, I hope that cost will come down soon so everyone could afford this , I have studies on biosimillars so if it goes successful I think we will have some cheaper alternatives 😂😂😂😂

Thank you very much for the tutorial. i was nervous about doing my first injection solo. I thought I knew what I needed to know. I read and re-read the instruction several times, but after watching your video I felt a bit more secure, and my first solo injection went down flawlessly.

Gotta second the part about the speed. I would have this done in the office by busy nurses and they would just jam the med in. A nice slow and steady pace is the ticket. I also take the med out of the fridge and let it come to room temp for 30 minutes. Significantly increases the comfort in my opinion 👍🏻

Advice needed for 3 yrs. old girl with NOMID Syndrom, diagnosed several
months ago. The approved medicine for this condition is not affordable
to the parents. Could Stelara be of any benefit? Please send any
available information with personal message. If anybody tried this
medicine for this condition please share info.

      Hi -
I can not find any information saying Stelara can be used for NOMID . Biosimilars have only been approved for a few auto immune diseases , I don’t believe any bio similar (like stelara) is approved for infant use .
Can I ask how you have access to stelara but no doctor ? I may be able to find you a nurse depending on where your stelara comes from , but please do NOT give it to a child who isn’t prescribed it . This can kill them .

These videos only show the obvious, health is for those who can pay for it, ustekinumab is very expensive, it is difficult for me to get mesalazine, I cannot afford ustekunumab, nor adalimubab or vedolizumab, they are very expensive medicines, mesalazine costs me 100 dollars per month and that is a lot of money, obviously I will die from colonic complications since mesalazine is not enough, I cannot access expensive medicines, laboratories care about money, not about really helping people.

Hi Fernando do you have private insurance? If so there’s a copay card which makes it very cheap like $5 each. Public insurance and no insurance yes it is hard. Let me know if you need help finding the copay card.

I appreciate the thought to make this video but please let a professional do this for you. If you must do this at home dont do it like she did. You must do it much slower, at an angle.

    • @Cruor34
      @Cruor34 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Just not doable for some of us. I had to drive an hour to a doctor to get the stuff. After the first injection done by the doctor the rest can be done by yourself/someone else. You need to do several injections and Im not driving an hour for each one. If I still lived in NYC I could walk a few blocks to the doctor but now I am in a rural area.

@@Cruor34 my mom gets them delivered to her house and then i do them for her. She recently started doing them herself which can most certainly be done. The woman in the video just injected it way too fast and straight down, considering the fact that you inject it into the fat, it needs to be done at an angle and quite slow
