    M/S of various newspaper clippings about Jimmy Hill. M/S as Jimmy walks towards Coventry City Football Club, L/S as he enters. Interior - M/S as he comes in and sits at his desk, he flicks a switch on the intercom and talks into it. His secretary enters and gives him some papers, she leaves and he looks through some letters, C/U of the letters. M/S as a man knocks on the door and speaks to him. M/S as Jimmy gets up.
    L/S of the team sat round a table, Jimmy comes in (from this point there is natural sound as Jimmy talks tactics to the team). Various shots as he uses a model board and counters to explain positions, it includes C/Us of a couple of the players. L/S as Bryan Nicholas joins in and makes suggestions, and Bill Myerscough asks a question. (End of natural sound).
    M/S as Jimmy emerges from the tunnel and shakes hands with two boys. Various shots of Jimmy training the team on the pitch. Various shots as they jog and jump round the pitch. M/S interior of a young man nailing studs into the bottom of a football boot, there are several other pairs hung up behind him. C/U of his face, M/S of him hammering. M/S as a player lays on a bed, a doctor is twisting his ankle, C/U of the boy's face. Various shots as he tests the ankle, Jimmy walks in and shows his concern. M/S of a lady ironing a football shirt, there are more hung up around her, C/Us of the shirt and her face. M/S as another woman puts a sock onto a shaper.
    Various shots of a match between Coventry and Southend with Jimmy and Club Chairman Derek Robins watching. L/S as one man is injured and the trainer runs up to help him. C/U of a man in the crowd, C/U as they score a goal and the match continues. Various shots of Jimmy surrounded by boys asking for an autograph.

    The ground very basic and the pitch poor by todays standards but what a great film and in colour too. Jimmy Hill years ahead of his time and what a great job he did as Coventry manager.

    Judging by the dates on the letters, the match was played on Saturday, 13 January 1962. The result was Coventry City 3-3 Southend United.

      Sky blue was first used by Cov in 1898 and the theme was used until 1922. Variations of blue and white were then used until the 1960s and the beginning of the 'sky blue revolution'. The colour made its return in 1962 thanks to Jimmy Hill.
