      Jason, I have a question. Is the world I experience a projection of my mind? I ask this because I take a big interest in current events, eg the pandemic, US politics, climate change, the Russia/Ukraine conflict. The world seems to be on a downward spiral. So 2 questions really...
      1. Is all this just a projection of my own mind and if I developed a peaceful mind, all these events would resolve as well, and
      2. If the events we experience are a projection, is their purpose to have us cut through/resolve our conditioning and in doing so, awaken us to the nature of reality and our true nature.
      Would you consider doing a video on these questions or if not, any clarity you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your videos. I've found them to be very helpful.

    I've spent the past 49 years trapped in the manufactured suffering of my own mind. I came across your TH-cam channel a few months ago. It's changed my life. Absolutely spot on! I have been practicing Tibetan Buddhism - Buddha psychology - our mind is so polluted! Once we realise our own thoughts, our attachments you start realising your inner self. Also about letting go, such an understatement! It’s such a beautiful feeling to let go, not grasping on to life - life never goes to how we plan!

    "Abide as pure awereness", that's the key.
    When there are no preferences nor adversions, there is no discrimination.
    When there is no discrimination, there is no Maya.
    When there is no Maya, there is no world nor I.
    Only awareness remains, being as always is.

    • @Jay_Kayy
      @Jay_Kayy ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes indeed, but with our existence, is it necessary that we always reduce ourselves to only pure awareness? I mean is there a particular reason why we're experiencing life on earth? And if we are pure awareness then can we just come or go as we please? Just some valid questions. Trust me I experienced being in fully present as pure awareness after I started meditation and it's beautiful, I learned to just be fully present and that there is no urgency to do anything or to get anything done. Everything does indeed take care of itself and we are to flow with that. Everybody tries to add all this stuff to life and the meaning of life and the way society is just creates so much suffering. Imagine if everybody just remained a present as pure awareness how different this world would be

    • @roquevera9831
      @roquevera9831 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Jay_Kayy Very valid questions, indeed. A short answer could be: why not? If remaining as pure awereness is our true nature, it is not something that we NEED to do, it is just how we are. If we are pure awareness, we cannot also be the "doer", we are at most "observers". Even if the body is doing something, I remain still, because I'm not the body. I remain inactive even if the body-mind is active. Free from the feeling "I am the body" or "I am the doer", the body-mind is free from the need "to be" or "to do" and therefore it is more open to the inherent harmony of nature, which is the intelligence that created it. So, let the body-mind do whatever it feel from the flow of life and just be as you are.

    Och Jason, what about our type of people, living life in the West and in the East, being a member of both families, cultures, standing on two legs here and there, as Rinpoche Tai Situpa told me. We seem to carry "the empty vessel" of Easter wisdom to cool down the boiling pot of Western impatience and insecurities. I admire how you balance walking on the line between doing and being. Wishing all outsiders best of strength and blessings❤

    Jason I am at a bit of a stumbling block - I understand or at least I think I do, about being everything we want to be already, that we are part of the great consciousness we are the atman spiritually aware and blessed, but by being born into this world we develop traits and habits that take us from the spiritual beings we already are. If that be the case, why do we come here to be born and in doing so, corrupt our spirituality?

    • @Jay_Kayy
      @Jay_Kayy ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, suffering is not needed for the world to succeed. Suffering is caused by the illusions that humans entertain. There's no actual suffering in nature as everything is as it should be in its abundance. Yeah animals feast off each other but nature itself does not suffer so it can succeed. Nature just is, its not forced, it just flows in perfect rhythm with the universe. Suffering happens when your not in alignment and in perfect rhythm with the universe. It's better to just let go and flow. I'm not trying to correct you by the way, this is just what I've learned from listening to Jason so I wanted to throw my two cents in this comment. But whatever is right for you is what's right for you and whatever you experience is your experience and nobody can take that away from you. I highly respect your comment. Much love to you

      @@Jay_Kayy much love back... what i am trying to do is to take it a step further... human wishes and understandings are unimportant compared to the whole of creation.. that is my point in why it is perfect in the way everything has to be now, if the whole world gets enlightment, then that is perfect for that point in time to be.... sending some kind of love back, to many meanings behind the word love to be able to use it properly.. but i try my love to be a like you... we are all equal! Society, culture and the individual are broken and at a dead end….and most people don’t know what to do. Buddha, Jesus, Confucius, and LaoTzu saw humans fall from grace over 2,000 years ago, and these four wise cats laid out the SAME blueprint for humanity to help save them from their stupidity. Things have not changed- we are still falling. Now you say what they said and all you get from people is a shrug of their shoulders, apathy, and ignorance. It’s long past time to wake up (and I’m not talking about the ‘woke’ left- they’ve become obedient and programmed.)The left quit questioning authority a long time ago once they became “the man.”

    Food for thought: Imagine if, for a moment, all people said: I won’t work anymore for any reason. I let it go. All become monks and pray 🙏 meditate. No more children are born, and in this process, human life as we know it ends because there is no reason to be alive. If the journey is to be, focused on the present and let go of all material forms and behaviours, what good does it bring? Liberation is a sense of freedom, but the truth in this eternal journey is silence and emptiness. I find the human experience a moment of nothing that leads to nothing because what you gain from it is the awakening into nothing and empty. There is no need to fight, build, have, own, control, experience, talk, see, eat, touch, hear and even love one another because once awakened, we learn what IS and for a brief gentle instance, we get to merge with nothingness, and we Become. Wow, what a splendidly terrifying moment that stretches consciousness through the infinite and beyond, and that's when we know we Are.

      @JasonGregoryAuthor  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Nope, not at all. Your comment is quite strange. I have defined Maya in plenty of my videos and that is how it is defined and how it has been taught for thousands of years. That is how I was taught and how I have been teaching for 15 years. Language is used a frame of reference to help people understand, a scaffolding. Remember, this channel is about exploring the depth of Eastern spirituality and most people here are adults so we can speak about such things without being triggered by the most minute things. I hope that solves your confusion because I will continue to define Maya in many more videos and not care what others think. The knowledge is what is important.
