Masterpiece documentary by the BBC. I was in Lagos last month and what touched me most was the resilient and exuberant nature of the people in spite of the overwhelming hardship. Saw more smiles on the faces of people in Lagos in a day than I see in a month in either Frankfurt or London.
I hope Esther and her daughter make a good life for themselves. She seems like a strong and beautiful young lady. Nigerians seem very resilient and adaptable. My beautiful fiance is from Lagos, so I know a few things about the city.
God who made us Africans and Nigerians to be precise knows that we can take the situation by being happy even in the mist of poverty....that is why am a Nigerian, i have been made strong and able to overcome situations....God bless Naija!!
WOW! Nigeria is a promised land; Africa is a great continent. You need look no further than Esther to see how true that is. I pray that God grants her all her heart's desires. She is a strong woman who deserves the best :)
what a great documentary, I am touched by every story. May god go with them and bless them abundantly. You know the saying say " god will always put us through obstacles because he knows we can over come whatever it is, and if we dont have problems would us as humans reconigze that there is a god or need him for anything." glory be to the almighty.
This is the first slum documentary I've seen where the people keep it nice and clean. I hope they get to stay for however long it takes them to find somewhere to move.
Hammer Head of Horror!! Headwin! Chai! Been a while since I heard that one. My cousins always used to use that to make fun of my head size. Good times...
Yay, Esther! You deserve a true love who will cherish you, and your baby girl. I'm so glad you didn't put up with that cheating! You can find someone to be true to you, and you will bring out the very best in each other! Xox
Hey Esther, like 2pac said. "keep ur head up girl" Good luck to u & may God bless u. I really liked this doc.. it shows that just cuz you live in the slums, you can still have a good heart. I would rather hangout & have a conversation with some of the people on this show, than some rich snobby prick who probably had everything handed to them.

@@estherwelcometolagosaroban4740 i can definately understand, i 2 went through many challenges... but we are still here!... Yoruba tribe, u are Israelites, have u heard that b4???
