    Thank you! I crappie fish & this video helped me find a lot of fish. Just recently started fishing Grapevine about a month ago & now it’s my favorite lake.

    Awesome breakdown!! From the Fort worth/ Keller area and recently purchased a boat and Grapevine has been kicking our butt. Thanks for the awesome content.

      Thanks man! Tough fishing right now with everything being so high. We have been pre-fishing lewisville which is about the same condition. The best pattern we could find is just hit every point with flooded brush and cover and work it about 25% of the way back then move to the next. Good luck out there!!

    Would you be interested in doing a tawakoni breakdown. Love the lake but really struggle out there. Thank you for your great breakdowns

    • @SimplisticFishing
      @SimplisticFishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure, I will add it to my list. Tawakoni takes some time to figure out for sure, I am still learning it myself. For me, the key on "Tawak" is to flip brush or find the isolated rocks and fish shaky heads. Frogs are good there once the pads start growing again on the north side and in some of the pockets and shorelines on the south. If the water is up, one of my favorite places to flip brush is Rabbit Cove. Good luck out there!

    POSTER??? How would you compare your Bass Lake Breakdowns with Crappie Fishing them? 🤔

    • @SimplisticFishing
      @SimplisticFishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think they can help you find brush piles but they really were built with bass fishing in mind. I have had several crappie fisherman purchase the cards though so it must help them some.

    I'm completely new to fishing..any other lakes you recommend? I have no boat as well lol

      That is tough without a boat. I have been lucky enough to have one since I have been here so I really don't know many bank fishing lakes. Purtis Creek is good for bass fishing and it's south of dfw. Behind the Lake Lavon dam can be fun if they are letting water out, other than that I really don't know. Sorry!

    As a newbie to the area, and a bank angler my impression so far of grapevine is not good. I know fishing has its tough times but this lake consistently sucks other than spring when the sandbass and catfish come a little closer to the bank. Cut shad is great for catfish and I have caught some decent blue cats from time to time but more often than not my attempts end up being gars,turtles,nasty sunburns and disappointment

    • @SimplisticFishing
      @SimplisticFishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can be good lake but you really need a boat to take full advantage of it.

      @@SimplisticFishing that's what I figured. Where I'm from I'm used to fishing in the mountains for trout and lowland rivers for salmon,steelhead and stripers. The lakes were clear enough to sight fish for largemouth and panfish. I've noticed bass are difficult in winter but the trout are more forgiving. I have had some good times in denton creek and the elm fork trinity but only in windows of opportunity. I drive out of state to enjoy a good fishing experience.
