Which I don't think is a bad thing persay, perhaps if the companies openly acknowledged that they are bootleg and sold their products accordingly at a cheaper price ofc
For example I have coworkers who but Jordan Sneakers when they go to Asian for a fraction of the cost and people who see them are none the wiser
I bought a bootleg and it's seems really good for me. I saved a lot of money, there is no problem with the vest or the shirt. I love the hat really much. Yes, voice box is a little odd with the alive mod, but for collection purposes it's not that big of an issue, so, if you see a bootleg with a low price and without shirt issues, I would recommend you to buy it. I don't thick that you'll talk to Woody that much. In my case, that doesn't bother me. So yes, bootleg is not a bad option, if the bootleg is well-made

7:03 that sound while weird is actually a real sound the TSC and Signature Woody makes. I just found out since on my real/authentic cloud pattern and signature woody, he makes that sound when you talk loud. I think it’s likely because he gets spooked by how loud you are being

@@todayigrewup this woody you bought is actually not a fake one, there were some woodys with design flaws so if anything you have yourself a rare designed woody. When first making the dolls there were a few design flaws so I think you actually have a rare designed woody. Hope this helps!
There’s also a fake Woody in Latin America that looks like a combination between Disney Store, Hasbro and Thinkway Woody and has Toy Story 1 phrases taken directly from the Movie. This one comes both in a White Logo Collection alike box on in a 20th Anniversary Mattel Box where sometimes comes with Jessie or with a hasbro head.
Back to this Woody, I like how not only the Hat has no holes, but they also kept the original Cloud logo pitched for the phrases instead of the lower pitch from the original Signature.
I own that’s very interesting to know. Thank you for sharing that information. It’s interesting to hear this is happening in many other countries also. Yes the voice box is nice but a little not consistent for the “alive” mode.

You know it’s funny I actually had received a replacement collection hat directly from thinkway that happened to have no holes! And the colors were a lot like the cloud logo, and if these knock off woodys are easy to obtain I’m probably gonna pick them up! But yeah nice review!

@@todayigrewup gotcha, but no seriously I got one that from them that did not have holes and I got it from them. You can message them for replacement parts if you wish to do so
Gotta say, if I spent $30 on a Woody doll on ebay and ended up with this, I don't think I would mind. For a bootleg, it's really good (though the bar isn't exactly high). Though for $50 or even the prices you'd but the real thing for, that's where I'd draw the line. Still, as much as your getting ripped off, it could be a lot worse.

When I think of a bootleg I think of Toy Sotry 5 or something but this looks very good. I did notice some differences in his face tho. His smile looks a bit different than my Signature Woody and his eyebrows look thicker.

Thanks for sharing it. Even if you have a Chinese copy these are still nice for what they are and very close to the original that it is hard to tell the difference.

Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to buy the original Woody.. I searched a lot but I found it on eBay at high and unreasonable prices.. I decided to buy the Chinese version and fortunately I found it identical to the original and I liked it. I ordered more and now I have three of Woody.. Maybe our friend TodayIGrewUP has the answer

Bought a French signature collection on market place for 50 had a white label when I was 12 when I found out fakes existed I fs thought I had one till I opened the box and the hat had 2 holes on the hat

Here in Peru, the country where I live, every once in a while people sell the woody signature collection for $ 36, I think it's a bit cheap, maybe it's because of the generic voice they put in the voice box, but hey, those offers aren't can be wasted: D

unsure if you’re gonna see this, but i feel as if these aren’t true bootlegs, but just old factory leftovers or a Chinese factory that produced these or have stuff from the one that produced these that’s producing more, I’ve heard a lot of legit chinese factories operate grey market stuff after hours where they make knockoff stuff but i have 0 idea how true that is.

I heard from someone on TH-cam that the reason they put the holes in the hat is in case if a kid puts it up to their mouth, they won't suffocate.

Sorry to say but stores don’t sell collection or signature collection anymore. I think they might come back when and if Toy Story 5 comes out. They seem to only be in stores for the movie promotion then after a year or so they stop selling them. The best times to buy toy story toys was in 2009-2011 (for Toy Story 3 movie promotion) and then in 2019 (for Toy Story 4 movie promotion), outside that time it’s hard to find, only eBay. So they only sell them for fast profit during movie promotional times. I really think it’s just a business strategy to cash out after the hype of a movie release.
I own this guy and I keep him on try me mode but I know he''s fake because I got him from aliexpress because I tried searching for the official one but all of then are pretty expencive and also no holes on the back of his hat is even better then having a woody who has two holes on the back on his hat and Im very happy

I have been collecting these toys for 13 years. Sorry to say but stores don’t sell collection or signature collection anymore. I think they might come back when and if Toy Story 5 comes out. What makes you say it's fake?
This came directly from a company in china that doesn’t ship to USA and they make a lot of them.. I tried to buy one myself but they wouldn’t ship to USA… companies shouldn’t have these but thinkway toys…also they sold them for $50 they sell them for $89.99 as of 2019 so this is not legit. Also inspecting the details.. everything is wrong compared to authentic one with missing lettering on voice box, voice box doesn’t work the same, cheaper quality compared to real deal.. it’s close but I can tell this is not from thinkway toys.
