If anyone has any questions how to fix anything on these cars to you get through they just didn't pay attention. You will have covered it all. Very good job doing it the common sense way.
I like seeing cars that would have been parts cars or scrap returned to usable condition. I think you inspire other hobbyists to work on their projects.
So much work for an end product that you’re happy with ! Definitely getting more appreciation for how much real work goes into such in depth repairs !! Take care John
You are doing an excellent job! Great skill and workmanship taking two rotten parts cars and making what is going to be a very solid clean Nova ! Keep up the great work 👍
On days like today I feel a sense of relief that I’m not a hard core Nova guy. I’m sure the work and the videos both take a lot of time but are very good. Keep ‘em coming!
I realized my '69 is a peg legged pirate and have sticker shock from looking at rear ends. The prices of Junk yard 12 bolts that need all the work and custom built rear ends from one of the companies is making me sick. I feel like that Muppet that bangs his head against the piano. ..I am slowly realizing why I started buying newer cars. Great work in the new video.
Thanks!! As for the rear end, if you have the factory 8.2 10 bolt you’re fine unless you’re gonna be beating on it hard or drag racing. I need a stronger rear for FrankenNova now but a 12 bolt or a 9” is $3000 or more. If you were close to Georgia I’d set up a rear for you.
If you have a 8.5" 10 bolt, those can be built up to handle some respectable power. Or there are those later model Ford junkyard 8.8" rears that can be altered to work as well that can be built up to be very strong. Doesn't always need to be 12 bolts or 9" Fords.😎👍
Good job bud man it looks really good man that's some awesome work you do I'm over man too and I enjoy watching you work on them nervous man they all you did a good job on all of them so appreciate it brother
I hope people don’t cut their car up and send you parts. Fans love to do stuff like that. No joke man this nova is too far gone I think. Damm it needs every thing and a miracle wow ❤❤❤❤❤
Do you remember those late 70s Cutlasses with the blunted rear sheet metal? I wonder if the designers got the idea from seeing a Nova with the sheet metal removed. LOL
Here's the real question, not even counting your time, how much money are you going to have in it after everything and how much can you sell it for? I'd guess it would cost you about twice what that car is worth to restore it.
Depends on how far and how nice I go. Just parts I’ll have around $6000 ish(not including stuff I already have) to get it to where I think I’m going with it. Probably 300 hours of labor. Maybe worth $15K-$20K when I’m done.
I agree. This has snowballed. Once I figured out I couldn’t use any of the original 4 door quarters I knew I was gonna end up going too far. Now here we are. I do have a car I’m about to throw together though. I appreciate you watching.
@@Shop209 was just wondering. My buddy had the identical red oxide primed, with the same wheels, with a 283 and a 350 top end. This was probably 1994, when i was about 19-20 years old.
Gosh dang dude, if you cut out the multiple 3 or 4 times you showed and talked about the same parts this could have just been a 5 minute you tube short. Whole lot of fluff and not much content.

I am having an anxiety attack watching you as you keep cutting more and more off…haha.. I am truly envious of your courage
Thanks Stan! It helps when you start with garbage. That way I’m not afraid to make it worse.

Excellent work my friend. .. cant wait to see it together . You will have no problem selling it. Shout out from Mexico 🇲🇽
One of my favorite rebuilds. Thanks!
Thanks!

Very cool !! I need to repair my driprail sections on both sides of my 1970
I didn't think you would be going this far into that car, but it's a very impressive process. I'm looking forward to how it turns out in the end!
Making great progress
Thanks!

Great work appreciate your skill and time keep up the great work

I like this TV show , you folks crazy . Fun to watch . 🔧🚧🍕
That thing is going to be better than new when you get her done.😎👍
Yeah. It’s getting out of hand. Lol
This is a how to build a Nova from scratch. Just keep it up cause I’m learning
Great work John........
Have you heard of she be right garage ( Australia) never seen nobody make panels with a English Wheel( good job on the drip rails..
Thanks! I’ll have to check it out.
Hey would you have any insight of where I can find 74 door front door and rear quarter interior panels
Pa. didn't get the bugz yet, but we will.
They’re so dang loud
Not trying to be rude but you keep explanning what youre doin over and over one time and we understand thanks.
I appreciate your input.
👍🇺🇸👍
Just be careful, most of these 4-door conversions only have 2 doors remaining after all is said and done.
You can get a nova catalog to order new body parts for that nova
Can’t get drip rails or inner quarter structure. I have most everything else new.
@@Shop209 yeah you can order them through a nova book that sells all body parts
Question John, will 2 door front fenders fit a 4 door. 1970 I need a right front wanted to make sure before I order.
Yes. The entire front clip is same.
@Shop209 Ok thanks sir
Is this build "Over" now?? or just a pause to re-group?
Just a pause. I was getting burned out on it and had to get ready for Raceweek. Back on it now. Will be for sale soon.

It seems your going backwards...4 door to door...& stripped down to bones again........Beautiful work your doing..but it seems your going in circles..

Call the nova Tetanus
Lol. I said that in one of the early videos.
I was thinking name her " twisted sister "
I'm buying a 1967 Firebird! $25k!
Awesome. I love those cars.
Was this car from ohio?
It’s been in Georgia for last 35 years.
