Guruji is saying that just as Durga is said to ride an Asiatic Lion (Singh), defend the Gods and vanquish all the demons, then the same way, for the Sikhs the sword is our bhagauti (weapon as siri sahib) and it sits on the Singhs and Singhnia and it us used to destroy the tyrants and defend the saints. So we dont worship Durga, we worship our Guru and regard shashter (weapons) as one of their forms

@@techlappy4055 very simple solution jio, read kirtan sohila before sleeping and face yourself towards your pillow, so place your pillow wherever u would rest your head on it whilst sleeping, and sit infront of your pillow but facing towards it, and read kirtan sohila. this is done to symbolise the pillow as guru jis ghod (laps) so that we have no fear when going to sleep. You could also read rakhia di Shabad (tati vao na lagai). In terms of your experience, dasam pita Ji's bani is full of bir ras ( warrior spirit) and maybe aapji haven't built up the spiritual level to fully understand it. Try sticking to understand the bani from guru Granth sahib Ji first, as beant as it is, or at least japji sahib, rehras sahib and sohila sahib, before trying to read and understand Dasam bani, as that can help you raise your avastha (spiritual level) so that you can read Dasam bani without these weird experiences. Also if you feel that you are a victim of sorcery, try to have an Akhand path done in your house as soon as possible, and once that's done, read a bani called 'Brahm kavach' at least once a day. Also, try to meet a mahapurakh to ask them about aap jis situation. if aap ji are from the UK, Sant Baba Bhagwan Singh Ji are currently in Birmingham, so u can go to meet them and ask them about your situation. forgive me if I made any mistakes jio.

I'm not sure about which person, obviously sant singh maskeen ji and giani pinderpal are highly respected. I'd recommend reading it yourself. Bani is not just meant to be read, its meant to be experienced. Dont stay away from a treasure of Guruji, just read and explore it. The youtube channel "RajkaregaKhalsa" has lots of translations and pronounciation guides.

The thing is even Sikhs ignorant about our religion, you only encounter ignorant people. But Have you ever read Durga kavach, it's for warriors in Veer rus, have you ever read vedanta, Advait, Geeta where it's clearly written " Sarv Brahm" Only Brahm is, only "God is" . everything what exists is God ,he beyond Trigunatmak prakrati, at same time he is Trigunatmak prakrati,so we bow that one lord in everyone and everything,do you know the meaning of Namaste, it's means i bow down to the God within you. Even we have Truth in it's complete essence. The Value of Guru in our culture is the same,Guru is source of everything. So if you are ignorant about Dharma, Hinduism is Dharma, it's not a sect,it's your ignorance. And Puranas are in Samadhi bhasa, it's very difficult to understand puranic stories. Only enlightened gurus can understand. So don't make Fun of our religion. We respect every religion, because know that truth is one,we never in history from ancient indian civilization claim that only we have Truth. You are on ego trip, you want feel higher then someone else, which is against sikhi, sanatan Dharma. First teaching of Hinduism is don't do " ninda" of other's and others cultures. But i can see in modern generation the purity of Sikhi has been distorted, because they are doing too much of "par ninda". Without knowing the depth and essence of other spritual tradition.

To keep such "spirits" away Sukhmani Sahib is very good. There's a sakhi of Sant Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj Nanaksar kaleran wale. Kaljug came to them and said why is sukhmani always done in the darbar it annoys me hence why I do not show up. Baba nand singh ji replied that you've told us the solution and therefore now on sukhmani sahib will be read 24/7 at this asthan (which I believe is Nanaksar Kaleran)

Durga refers to the Baguati which is the sword, a weapon used to fight against atrocities and injustice. So in the same way, a kirpan also sits on top of our body

Khalsa Ji, I think there should be a debate amongst the Singh's regarding the Dasam Granth. I've been reading it recently and it doesn't seem as all compositions belong to Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The Dasam's authenticity should be re-examined and verified according to Guru Granth Sahib, Vaaran Bhai Gurdas and the writing of Bhai Nand Lal Goya.
I also have a question. Is the ਭਗੌਤੀ stated within chandi di vaar the same ਭਗਉਤੀ stated within Guru Granth Sahib. How did you conclude that the term Bhagauti in chandi di vaar means sword?
    ਭਗਉਤੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਾ ਰੰਗੁ ॥
Bhagouthee Bhagavanth Bhagath Kaa Rang ||
    भगउती भगवंत भगति का रंगु ॥
The true Bhagaautee, the devotee of Adi Shakti, loves the devotional worship of God.
    (Sukhmani Sahib)
It could be defined as the a person which has the lord in their mind (mind of a Bhagat).
    ਜਾਣੁ ਕਥੂਰੀ ਮਿਰਗ ਤਨਿ ਨਾਉ ਭਗਉਤੀ ਲੋਹੁ ਘੜਾਇਆ।
Jaanu Kadooree Mirag Tani Naau Bhagaoutee Lohu Gharhaaiaa.
    जाणु कथूरी मिरग तनि नाउ भगउती लोहु घड़ाइआ ।
The musk is found in the navel of deer and from ordinary iron the powerful sword is aced.
    (Vaaran Bhai Gurdas Ji)
Also keep up the good work. Keep inspiring.
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

Bhai Sahib Ji please do not question authenticity. Just imagine if it is Guru Gobind Singh Ji's Bani, and you question the word of the Guru. What fate will befall you than? Veerji I say if you don't believe it to be just do your Baani Kamai from Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Naam Abhyaas. With Guru Sahib Ji's Kirpa you will know the truth. Arguments are of no use because we wont be judged on our arguments but Words, Thoughts, and Actions along with our Kamai.(Which Im sure you know! ) Please forgive me for any mistakes and I have no intention of criticizing anyone or anything. :)

      Mehtab Singh
Bhai Sahib, I've researched the history of Dasam Granth and found that it was compiled after Guru Gobind Singh. Bhai Mani Singh gathered all bani's that were assumed to be Guru Gobind Singh Ji's and compiled them into one Granth. From it's release, the Dasam Granth has always been a controversial scripture within the Sikh community.
I'm not condemn the entire Dasam Granth but there are some bani's which can't be by Guru Gobind Singh for example Charitropakhyan.
The Khalsa needs to gather and review this scripture with accordance to Guru Granth Sahib, Vaaran Bhai Gurdas and writings of Bhai Nand Lal Goya.
      ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਮੇਰੋ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ ਖ਼ਾਸ ॥
      Khalsa is my true form
      ਖ਼ਾਲਸੇ ਮਹਿ ਹੌ ਕਰੌ ਨਿਵਾਸ ॥
      Within the Khalsa, I abide
      Guru Gobind Singh

Peeta Singh Yes Bhai Sahib Ji, I have also heard this from Bhai Sukha Singh Ji, Uh I think that Bhai Mani Singh asked Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, who was living in Delhi at the time, that he was compiling Guru Sahib Ji's Dasam Granth and If she would give him the "Charitropakhyan" part and he compiled it in this manner. I heard this from Bhai Sukha Singh. ( I may be wrong but I do not think Bhai Sahib Ji is ) :) Also, Bhai Sahib Ji said the controversy from that point on was not whether this was Dasam PitaJi's Bani but whether or not we should split it into two portions(The easily read portions such as Tav-Parsad Swaiye, Chaupai Sahib, and Japji Sahib and the Hard to Read parts such as Charitropakhyan) and the Khalsa Panth decided to keep it as one. Also, Bhai Jagraj Singh says ,regarding the authenticity of Dasam Bani, that no saint that the khalsa panth considers a sant has ever denied its authenticity and that should say alot. :)

Regarding the letter you mention written by Bhai Mani Singh ji - can be found on patshahi10 - is very suspect. According to the "experts" the writing style is from a later period. The letter is not larrevaar, and uses ekonkar akal sahaye which also contrary to the Sikh practices. I am yet to find any good research in to the letter proving it authenticity. Are you aware of any?
