The idea of our physical bodies being cocoons and our spirits being butterflies is such a beautiful metaphor. It's always been my belief that when we pass, the essence of who we are crosses over from this plane of existence to the next; the way you described it and the fact that others have used it to comfort terminally ill children is so beautiful. The idea that we can still learn and grow after crossing over into the next life is intriguing to me; I've never thought about it before, but when we do reach "the end of the line" as it were, that doesn't mean we should stop learning and growing as ethereal beings. I'd like to think that we never stop growing for as long as we exist, which is forever. This was such an interesting and thought-provoking discussion! Thank you as always, Danielle, and thank you to whoever asked this question!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your heartfelt thoughts, Allen! It means a lot to hear that the metaphor of the butterfly speaks deeply to you as well. I also love the idea that we continue to learn and grow on the Other Side. Many times loved ones in Spirit speak about how they continue to evolve by serving others--and this is often inspired by their families & things they went through in their earthly life. Thank you again for being here and sharing with me!
