Recently the new C810Ds have arrived in singapore also and they look quite interesting? Like these ones compared to the previous C810 and C810As are married-coupled ones and also have a doorway like gangway? I personally still think we possibly wont be able to go through those doors to the other car. Also dont know whether those can run solo or not probably will be 2 car configuration in the future, all trains would probably be only 2 cars in the future. Shame the C810s and C801s are gonna be retired soon and replaced with the newer C810D and C801B. Neither had been refurbished, i mean the C801s are quite problematic so its probably good for them to go but personally i feel the c810s are still very reliable and in good condition and can just refurbished and while at that configurate those that can only run 1 car for 2 car operations. Seems like the coming years are gonna have a bunch of trains fully retiring/retiring. The C651s & C751Bs have been fully retired, C151s schedule to be retired completely by Q3 2025, and the currently outgoing C801s and soon C810s. Eventually the oldest trains left in operation in Singapore would be the C751A, at least they got refurbished.😢 As for buses, recently heard one of the recently retired Scania K230UB Euro IV Batch 1, SBS8038R got preserved at Maitri School, still in original livery and interior and still got engine, ofc it isnt exactly preserved as it can no longer run on public roads. Similar to the Sole Volvo B9TL CDGE, SBS7376X left "preserved" at ITE West
I hate C801 sooo much because the announcement sounds horrible and some no DC announcement which is not safe. I prefer C801A and C801B because the announcement sounds better and has DC chime.
