After the first story, you mentioned that it lasted over a couple decades, and asked why the HOA didn't do anything. The people that built higher on the hill were not technically part of the community, That's probably why the HOA didn't get involved. I'm also assuming that the people were completely aware that tapping into the sewer line was illegal, and that is why they never mentioned it to the HOA of the community, (that they didn't even belong to). Just a theory...
Jake, you got it all wrong; the gluten free craze has been a huge blessing for people with gluten issues, as many many products started going onto market, gluten-free , that were never available before it became so popular.
My thoughts in regards to the first story: Wow.....The HOA ACTUALLY kept their slimy nose out of things, the way they *should!* I dunno whether I should be impressed or surprised!
Ironically that is exactly the type of thing the HOA is supposed to be involved in. There are reasons why you pay dues to a HOA and this situation is one of them. Lawyers for the HOA should have gone after the people outside the HOA taping into the sewage line without permission on behave of the home owner. Instead they sat back and did nothing while still collecting money from the home owner.
@@nobodyimportant2470 except like the story said those people on the hillside had connections and even if the HOA did respond to their initial plans to build, I bet their connections and lawyers shoved so much legal mumbo jumbo onto the HOA that the HOA lawyer advised it wasn't worth fighting. the hoa one, sounds like they are the hoa but the people connecting to the pipe is not so technically they cant actually sue. idk how the law works there.
I am allergic to wheat itself not gluten sensitive, don't have celiac, I actually cannot come in contact with wheat in a field without breaking out in tiny allergy bumps (similar to those people with grass allergies break out in itchy and extremity irritating) but then when I eat anything made with wheat I actually get hives and water blisters on my face hands and now arms. It gets worse every time I am exposed to it. I do try to avoid it in foods but it is almost every single thing to include candy and even lots of skin products like makeup and lotions, shampoos ect. It is used as a thickener in many candies and different foods and is used as a binder in makeup. So it is extremely hard to avoid. Especially when everything I love to eat has wheat in it. People who play on the gluten thing without celiac or real allergies make things really difficult for those of us who actually have to try to avoid or completley avoid it due to massive stomach pain, hives and bloating as well as blistering which is quite painful and causes me personally to be very self conscious. Please, if you do not have true allergies stop going gluten free, there truly is NOT any benefit to doing so and you're actually harming your body as gluten is what your body breaks wheat down to and is actually needed by your body. Your body also needs a certain amount of foods that contain carbs. You actually do need a specific amount of carbohydrates for your body to be healthy. This is why there were so many people who got severely ill on diets such as the famed Atkins diet. Your body needs a specific amount of everything to properly function, your brain needs the same so all you're doing is needlessly tearing down your body and reducing your memory and learning capabilities just to follow a fad diet that you really do not need unless you have actual allergies or specific diseases which makes it difficult for your body to successfully break down the carbs into gluten and therefore causes stomach upset and other issues. Just stop and eat and enjoy food because not everyone else can because we have true medical issues that make it harmful for us to do so. You just make it harder for us to have ppl take us seriously and many ppl have ended up in anaphylaxis due to apissed off chef tired of dealing with the gluten free fad deciding they were just on that ship of stupid ppl and not realizing they really suffered true allergies. Some have even died so please, this is not some fun little fad for you to get skinny and act superior this is you causing others to get so annoyed that they actually end up not believing anyone and putting people with true allergies in danger and or massive pain.
I have two bills on auto pay, and I still check them even though they are supposed to be the same amount every month. There is no excuse for not checking your bill.
Not all neighborhoods have HOAs for sure. Even then, not all property owners in an HOA area are part of them if the HOA is established after the property owner signed the paperwork. Frankly HOAs are rarely wanted by sane people.
An HOA is only responsible for maintaining their end of the line. Why would the HOA bother one of their real residents to aide some assholes who *illegally* hooked up their line to the one owned and managed by the HOA. I don't know how those thieves weren't sued for hooking up their line to the HOA's without permission. I also don't know why the family put up with being harassed for years by leeches like them. I would have gone to the HOA as soon as they started harassing my family for the consequences of their illegal activities.
I have a lot of food allergies. Way too many. So I have to read ingredients on labels when food shopping. When I go out to eat, I politely ask what is in the dish I am ordering. Not 100% about this, but a HOA is the 'merican equivelnt to what's called a Body Corporate where I am, my property is adjacent to a a cluster of units/houses, thier individual "property" includes use of and maintainence of shared spaces, that is the grassed areas, gardens, driveways, etc. so although there's an easment for services for me, I'm not a member, I have no requirement to pay for the maintenence, my drive is not trough their's either.

Humans have ate bread for thousands of years. Funny how everyone is allergic to it all of a sudden. Blame your shitty genetics before dragging bread into it.
@@omnigar9611 Not as long as you might think. It's not "all of a sudden." It's more like the problems that have existed are actually accurately being recognized for what they are and the causal factors are established. I study anthropology. Wheat has been only a couple of thousand years that it's been wide spread, other grains about 10-9 thousand years, and early breads weren't gluten based in the first place. And you'd be surprised at how many health problems grains actually introduced into the health of populations that converted into an agricultural based society with a focus on grains. It's pretty shocking looking at a culture over a period of several years while grains are introduced to it, to see the change in younger people who ate grains that developed cranial soft spots and high rates of dental issues vs old people who were far more robust with wear on their teeth before the introduction of grains. At the OP: as far as not eating it develops those conditions, that's not strictly true. Actually the reason for dairy is 70% of the human population is diary intolerant. As a whole humans only been drinking milk regularly a relatively short time. Humans are not meant to have lactose after the age of four, we NATURALLY lose the enzymes that digest milk. Drinking it from a young age gives us a tolerance, and stopping for a long period can cause us to lose some ability to digest it or sometimes all. Eating gluten regularly can give us a tolerance to it as well. Celiacs who don't know they are celiac, but eating gluten from a young age have something of a minor tolerance to it because bodies are adaptable and when they stop eating they will get worse. I personally have gotten worse digesting dairy and gluten when I was doing elimination diets to find out the problem foods that were serious issues. For heck sakes, spies have been ingesting poison in small doses for hundreds of years to develop tolerances to lethal doses. People really need to actually read science and anthropology journals...

I've heard gluten free is overrated. Unless you're have celiac disease (which only happens in 1% of the world population), it's better to eat stuff with gluten in it.
actually recent studies have shown that the amount of people with celiac/ gluten intolerance is closer to 50% of the worlds population. and even if you have No intolerance at all, gluten as no nutritional benefits at all, so its just extra watse your body has to remove
If someone steals my check I’m calling the police. What a witch
There are people who actually need the gluten free diet. My family is filled with celiacs. Gluten will make them severely sick. Gluten free foods are not just some fad.
I’ve been a manager. You are NOT allowed to give a paycheck to anyone but the person whose name is on it. Even check stubs, even for people that no longer work there. That’s a whole set of BULLSHIT.
Re: gluten. Actually, it doesn't take away. Us gluten intolerance folk LOVE the gluten free folk because they're squeaky and get us options to actually be able to eat out on, and *better* ones too. Some of the gluten free stuff I've had has been truly horrific at first until recipes were refined.
What happened to the arrogant airline passenger is also known as "Bombayment." He goes to Perth, his bags go to Bombay.
6:06 It's probably the gluten talking, m'kay
Yes, the HOA would win, but win up increasing the HOA costs to everyone in the HOA by several times their normal monthly/annual rates just to pay the legal fees.
@@nobodyimportant2470 It depends on the limits that the community put on the HOA when it was formed. If they only said it was for sewer maintenance than that is all it is for. Although i am against HOAs their existence is sound in theory. Pool the communities money together to maintain community property (parks, pools, ect). Unfortunately the only people who care enough to manage the HOA also the types that have power trips so they introduce rules during meetings nobody shows up to in order to give themselves more power.
The house with all the problems wasn't a member of the HOA so they could do nothing.
@@mbyerly9680 You're missing the point. The HOA is supposed to fight on behalf of the owner that IS a part of the HOA. It is of no consequence that the neighbor isn't.
What I'm saying is that your assumption that the HOA only meddles in disputes between 2 HOA members, is wrong. They also protect the 1 who is a member, when the other isn't.
the Hill story... The HOA should have paid legal bills and come to bat for the Home Owner as that is what they are there for.

My father Who is in his 80's cancelled his cable tv. Even turned in all the equipment. He had some health issues and I had to move in to help him out.
I found he was still being charged fror the cable tv when all he had was internet.
I called Xfinity and they said well he's been paying I told them he just got out of the hospital which he had been in for months ( auto pay). I demanded a refund they tried to put it off like the guy in the last story did. Saying it was his fault.
I talked to his manager, Then The call center Director and then went up to VP of retention They upgraded his internet for 3 years to highest tear (which he doesn't need ) and gave him a refund.
Seriously He turned in the equipment I hjad proof he cancelled and Still they charged him For almost 6 mos before I moved in.
By the way he is doing fine now. It just pisses me of that companies try to rip off Senior citizens and often get away with it.
The people with gluten allergies have benefited well from the gluten fad diet. Before it became popular their choices were very small in grocery stores and restaurants. Now they have tons of options.
Holy shit with that girl stealing OP's paycheck. I would have called the police on her ass.
the hoa one, sounds like they are the hoa but the people connecting to the pipe is not so technically they cant actually sue. idk how the law works there.
The HOA likely could do nothing as the people on the other side of the hill were not a part of the HOA.
This makes me Nuts. GLUTTEN IS A PROTEIN FOUND IN WHEAT.
I mean seriously.

Hello jake 4th time not stopping lol see you next video
For the algorithm 🤓🥳💪👏🤙🤔😎
I have a lot of food allergies. Way too many. So I have to read ingredients on labels when food shopping. When I go out to eat, I politely ask what is in the dish I am ordering. If something sounds like I cannot eat, I ask if there is in it. I am always polite and I have never had a server dismiss my allergies except once and that was because the server was a complete b*tch to everyone.
Marilyn Newman yup. You too me! I break out in itchy hives and painful canker sores. I’ve never had my throat close from food.
I don’t blame you for not eating in a restaurant
Where is Jake? The real one?
Not 100% about this, but a HOA is the 'merican equivelnt to what's called a Body Corporate where I am, my property is adjacent to a a cluster of units/houses, thier individual "property" includes use of and maintainence of shared spaces, that is the grassed areas, gardens, driveways, etc. so although there's an easment for services for me, I'm not a member, I have no requirement to pay for the maintenence, my drive is not trough their's either.
Jake, go a little easy on your filters/hall settings you've implemented. i can't point a finger on it exactly but something with your voice is different.
that said, I really enjoy your channel. keep it up.
OH CRAP.......HAHA.......GOT A GOOD DEAL OUT OF THAT.....LOLL

Wrought iron in the us is pronounced like rot . We skip a lot of letters European people don't. and some like in my german last name are a p that sounds like a b followed by a noise that sounds like a cat with a hair ball.
As me and him are both Brits, I'm surprised he didn't know that but then there was a time when I didn't know there was a second kind of wound. Like Wound Up (wow-nd) and Ouch I'm Wounded. (Woon-d.)
@@Roadent1241 I've also noticed the computer voice pronounces things off and people think thats the way it is said , so words kinda get changed.
Do you not remember reading it out loud? That neighbor was NOT part of the HOA for them to be able to do much (if anything) about it.... I am absolutely amazed that they were able to find a builder that would actually hook up to the line... Since the HOA maintained it, that length of sewer line was NOT public domain and they would have had to approve the connection. something that should never have been allowed given the terrain and elevations involved.
I have a feeling that lady who called her dad is not telling the whole story. I can see _one_ person at a location not liking you or being nice, but it seems _everyone_ there disliked her. There's probably a reason for that.
dumbass kicks her, her dad is protective, so dumbass' gf or something decides to be a bitch, not an uncommon scenario, especially if her dad was already in the drive through. That was the weird part, that the dad never actually went inside
And then again, sometimes people in cliques band together to harrass others. One of my sons, who was quiet and didn't annoy anyone, got this kind of treatment at his middle school. Not everyone was after him, but several individuals got their jollies out of it.
If you’re an adult who doesn’t consume dairy or gluten you will become lactose intolerant or develop celiac
Humans have ate bread for thousands of years.
Funny how everyone is allergic to it all of a sudden.
Blame your shitty genetics before dragging bread into it.
Can you give some sources for this? I'm curious about it and would like to learn more
@@omnigar9611 Not as long as you might think.
@@jedediahcoulbourne1791 Sources? For? Celiacs/dairy intolerance getting worse? There's been some studies done, I'd look on your local academic scene for them because some articles are paywalled. A lot of celiacs and dairy intolerance folk will say they got worse after elimination diets, I did.
@@impishrebel5969 My step father got really bad with a zero diet but niw that he is consuming in moderation like folks should with sugar he's alot better
