    Next to the last one reminds me when I started working as a computer programmer when I got out of school. I was assigned a system where they wanted the on-line programs re-written. I had just completed a six month on-line project at school, but wasn't familiar with how things were done at my new job. I asked questions of my closest co-worker (he had been there 15 years at the time), but it turns out that the place had a separate on-line programming group for many years, and he had worked on on-line programs less than I had. He wasn't able to answer my questions and sometimes gave me wrong answers. Out to desparation, I started taking my questions to a contract programmer that was working there at the time. A couple of weeks later, I get called into my supervisor's office. I'm told that my co-worker has complained about me going elsewhere for help and it 'hurt his feelings'. Because of this, I was instructed to take all my questions to the co-worker, because I shouldn't be using up contractors time with my questions. I did as instructed. I took all my questions to the co-worker who couldn't answer them. And the co-worker took them to the contractor. Every. Single. Question. Making both him and the supervisor look like a pair of prize fools.

    Last OP - you'd think once someone called a SPECIFIC agency to ask for assist, they would recognize same when they call back... idiots abound.

      Ahh, you don't call the SES. They are assigned to the task by the people who co-ordinate emergency services or by request of a local authority or they just arrive at the scene of an emergency because they are the first available. Some people who are in paid emergency services roles also volunteer in the SES because helping int times of need is their thing.

      @@SurmaSampo like 911 in America. They take the calls sometimes stupid ones but then send the help asked for. Though sometimes they could improve their listening skills.

      sounds like it was a drill, a nuclear reactor running without water will cause a melt down. i havent heard of any carriers that had to be gutted to pull out a slagged reactor and such an operation would be way too big to cover up.

    • @daveadams4402
      @daveadams4402 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      It was a drill. The inspectors stopped it before exceeding anything critical. He was mentioning how much it would cost if they ruined the reactor in a real life situation.

      Not everybody can read perfectly, especially aloud. I have a high reading skill but I can rarely make my mouth cooperate with my brain and eyes.
      Maybe it's because I spent my school life in Special Ed for my lack of hearing but I don't blame people for not being able to read perfectly.
      I wish people would understand that and stop complaining just because they could do a better job.
