Love your tips! I had a professor once that said "If you ain't got rhythm, you ain't got anything". Rhythm is SO important! I have been playing piano for 18 years and I love your channel!

Your piano playing tips and tutorials are awesome! Easy to follow along with and so practical. I’ve been playing along with other music tracks on TH-cam for a long time and it’s certainly improved my rhythm and ear playing skills. I really enjoy playing both the piano and organ along to the “Family Hymn Sing” that you had recorded at Bethel Calvary Baptist Church. Keep up the wonderful work and God Bless!

I've played for years, but I'm not in your league. However, one of the things I always appreciate about your playing is that you keep your wrists up! Both my teachers were death on letting one's wrists drop--yet I see many young people today who are just letting those wrists drop way down. Someone told me it was because they are so used to typing at a computer keyboard. I don't know, but it's just not good technique!

When I was learning the piano close to 20 years ago I was playing at least 1 hour a day sometimes more. Now I mainly play on Sundays. I need to sit down and play more.

Piano tuners seem few and far between in the UK. This caused me to sell my stringed piano (an old upright that belonged to my Mum), and purchase a Yamaha digital piano - never goes out of tune. It has other gizmos such as other piano sounds: Grand, Bosendorfer, Bright upright and mellow tones plus many other features. Overall a really outstanding instrument but would probably not be rated by a string purist. It have the advantage of headphone socket so one can practice without annoying people. Many thanks for the tips in this video. Rev Bryan East

I struggle with maintaining a steady rhythm. Always hesitate and never flows. Also struggle with nerves and playing in front of people. My hands start shaking when I’m playing. Any suggestions to help with that?

I play triads on the right hand and it sounds pretty good too. Essentially I’m playing the lower bass note with my thumb and little finger (an octave apart) and the triads on my right hand. Turns out I’m playing all the notes written (well most) in the music. I play it that way because I never learned my left hand by heart

Wow. Wonderful Natalie. Being a musician, sharing tips to others I was blessed with more ideas into music. May God bless you with more additions of ideas as you share your talent with others. The last one you told was a great idea. Simple, but superb. I seldom played that way. It truly sounds 'COOL'.

Getting many smaller practice times in is definitely better.
I've had a habit for a long time of sitting down for a 20-30 minute practice while supper is in the oven .
This is why I love ovens and slow cookers !!
