Pure nostalgia. Gameloft and Modern Combat 😢. Can't believe it's been 10 years. I remember so clearly when MC 4 was released me and classmates went to a fast food restaurant, sat down and played it one by one using a rich buddy's phone.
So far Dead Effect 2 had the most thrilling and enticing fps mobile game I've ever played, it captures the horror of being stuck in a spaceship filled with reanimated monsters.
The amount of time I spent playing COD Zombies on my iPod touch is unreal. It really blew my mind at the time to be having a very similar experience on my iPod as the console version. Good times.
This is just back then when Gameloft still have passion making mobile game. They are the best mobile game developers at the time in my opinion. I used to spend an hour playing their game like nova 3, brother in arm, modern combat, blitz brigade, gangster vegas and six gun. But now they just stop making games like this.

I remember seeing Bad Company 2 promo when I got myself Xperia Go. Granted, my phone wasn't as powerful as Xperia S but Modern Combat 4 is playable on campaign mode. Dead Trigger really brought true CoD Zombies survival experience that I used to borrow my buddy's phone to play it since mine can't handle it. Blitz Brigade had potential but idk what went wrong with Gameloft as Modern Combat 4, before it went free to play, is a solid title in both gameplay and graphics
But it's such a low bar, lmao. And let's not pretend that Gameloft can write better stories than authors of Deus Ex: The Fall, Bad Company 2, The Conduit HD, Alien Isolation, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, Bioshock or Half-Life 1 and 2. Yes, all of these are ports, besides Deus Ex, but why bother with mobile exclusives when you can play real games?
I remembered playing the old Shadowgun game (not the Legends) so much. The multiplayer is so much fun, explosive everywhere, snipers, medic, etc. It felt like a Battlefield game that time lmaoo.

You can unlock all guns and class related stuff completely free without paying a single cent, a lot of content such as maps or modes to play with, and the game since day 1 (for me at least) always have a consistent performance even back when I have a crap phone. I know CODM community cried a lot such as "Oh Th1S Sk1n IroNsiGht iS p2W!" even though they should be grateful the only thing locked behind paywall for the game are freaking gun skins and character skins. It could be worse such as what happened to Modern Combat or Azur Interactive games.
I am astonished on the fact that most of these games still exist .. But the problem is they dont show gameplay in the preview pictures which always makes me think that its a bad game and that is why they dont put gameplay in the preview pictures and i end up not downloading it
Shadowgun wargame was a good game i think you don't know about it it wasn't popular campare to nova or Modern combat that why it got shutdown, Still it's was a good game similar to overwatch, and you also forget shellfire its first clone of overwatch for mobile. But now it abandoned.

@@karthikeyan53 The problem that I trying to point out was that Nova legacy’s gunplay is so bad compared to 1,2 and 3. It felt unoriginal and the AI just felt sloppy. Everything bout the game didn’t feel like it was honouring the legacy of the franchise but instead felt like it was a bad attempt at the classics which were NOVA 1, 2.
Wow been a while since I’ve heard of those two, love the FA developers but they don’t seem to want to actually fix bugs in the game and sway more to questionable skin bundles. Either way I bet you can find a few minutes of fun still (until the inevitable hackers join the server XD)
It started to evolve from 2009 to 2013 then after 2014 it all went downhill until 2018 Even though we still dont have a proper AAA paid shooter with a good story (every game is online MP with microtransies, rip) but atleast its better than shoehorned P2W elements from the 2015-2017 era. I used to have N.O.V.A 3 but I switched phones and the game couldn't transfer because of how old it was. The game's campaign was honestly pretty good imo. The game now forever taunts me in the purchased section of my account. I wish I could play it again.
The game is now incompatible with current versions of Android and IOS, Gameloft no longer supports it, there are modified versions to be able to run it on current systems.
Sadly that most of mobile game nowadays just mainly focusing of amine,gacha and loot box type plus,they always are online game,meanwhile i just need offline game to enjoying myself alone
Mobile game developers figured out that they can make more money with f2p monetization way back in 2010-2012. There were a few games here and there that were sold for full price without microtransactions, but they never made a bank.

Eh... not that special, its pretty much another Tarkov esque game. Its known as "the most realistic mobile game" but dang their damage and bullet physics is wonky af, I still doesn't like the fact standard Shotguns buckshot is weak af even at point blank range it doesn't one shot at times, realistic my a**.
The reason that mobile gaming graphics hasn't advanced much is because console players get better hardware each generation but for mobile developers target the budget-midrange segment as most people own one of those instead of a flagship , so they create their game around the majority
