I noticed at school that "thickness" is relative and the "slightly thick" kids were keen to label the "very thick" kids, as "thick". I think this is what has happened here.

The point about Starmer being vague is old, he is always vague trying to appeal to everyone. If you asked him "tea or coffee?" you would get a dissertation on the merits of both but never an answer. Nigel Farage was a metal trader so he has exceptional mental dexterity, quickness of thought and is assertive, qualities which he makes abundantly clear and have transferred well into the political environment.
