Fayd Kashani from the Safavid era quotes those ahadith at length in his ayn yaqin. However this imaginary realm according to them is not the same as our pre-worldly existence. Rumi does allude to our pre-worldly existence. There also ahadith vaguely talk about the pre-worldly existence of certain souls
But thank you for this reminder, it talks of intertwined worlds and allows us to explore the notion of our simultaneous existence in differing realms
