Make the PERFECT Apple Pie Even Easier

  • This amazing apple pie recipe is so simple and delicious. Easy crown please, you can make this ahead of time and just throw it into the oven when needed! Give it a go and let me know what you think!
    Method:
    Peel and slice 6 baking apple into small cubes. Place them into a bowl with the zest and juice of 1 lemon. Into a pan add 75g butter and then add your apples. Sweat them down with 200g sugar. Add 2 heaped TSP cinnamon and grate some fresh nutmeg in too. Remove after 5 minutes straining to juices.
    Juices go back into the pan to thicken up and form a sauce - thicken these with cornflour mixed with water (25g cornflour mixed with 100ml water) add the cornflour slowly, not all at once as you won’t need all of it. Only add enough until the sauce has thickened. About 4 TBSP in my case.
    Lay down your puff pastry on your ramekins and add your filling. Use strips of puff pasty to create a lattice and then egg wash and add a touch of salt on the top.
    Bake at 180c for 20-25 minutes. Serve with ice cream of your choosing and enjoy!
